She was very condescending calling me " sweetie" which was definitely not said in a genuine way. Finally she realized they scheduled the appointment for July. She said they schedule a month out. I was not told that over the phone. She said my appointment was for July 8th. Well, I scheduled for Thursday, June 8th. July 8th isn't a Thursday. My daughter heard the conversation where she said Thursday. I believe they made the mistake but would rather lie than to try and make it right. I run a business and this would be an example of the poorest customer service examples I'd present in a training session. I would never trust my pet in the care of such a nasty person. I did try introducing her to my dog so she would be less anxious and never with a smile and who is this, etc...She over & over asked how short I wanted her hair cut, I showed her a pic on my phone and said this is how I always have it done, she took my phone, walked away to the backroom, shut door and came back saying, "how short"...I kept saying close to this, (measuring by fingers" to show approx. how much she said how short in inches, so I measured with my hand and also told her I didn't want her undercoat touched or skin showing. I started telling her this is my 1st time, she repeatedly asked how short I wanted it cut. While she walked away, never explaining to me where she was going too, just walked away..I walked out, she came out while I was backing out of the parking lot, telling me, "I was just talking to her"...Horrible experience, very unprofessional, unkind and I would not refer or recommend Best Doggone Trims ever..I

The only negative is they do not keep appointment times. They may put you in a little "care" room, but you end up waiting a ways past your appointment time before someone comes to take care of your pet.

We decided to go to a local vet instead of our own that is over an hour away. What a great decision! The ladies at Advanced pet care, Dr Sheldon, MW, and AC were way more then we could of hoped for. They took our Miley's passing very personal, were incredibly patient, and kind and had so much compassion for what we were going through. Not once did we feel rushed or pushed. They have this amazing living room setup. With a private entrance and exit. Couch, fire place, dog bed with blankets. The ladies brought us tissue boxes and bottled water. These ladies made a horrible day as beautiful as possible. We will be switching all of our animals to this veterinary office. From the bottom of my heart I cannot thank these ladies enough. Even if you do not vet with them please consider using their service to help your pet over the rainbow bridge.

I've read through other reviews out of curiosity - here are some of the comments that I can give my take on. Is the care here cheap? No! Is the care here thorough, trustworthy, and high quality? Yes! I do not mind the pricing at all given the care my pets receive. It is clean, they are thorough and knowledgeable, pricing is transparent and they ask consent while providing an estimate before doing anything. I'm not guilted if I refuse a service - just educated on the consequences/changes in outcomes/reasons for their recommendations, which is IMPORTANT, whether or not you are ready to hear it. Let's have more respect for our vets who want to do right by our pets, but can't do that on their own dime. Yes, even though Covid is over, you can still wait in the car with your pet. This has really been helpful for my dog who gets more and more anxious the longer he sits in the waiting room. They have options for non-medical visits for behavioral issues if your pet has more severe anxiety about vets. They do not allow e-collars at visits, which is a good idea (imo, not everyone uses them appropriately anyhow!). My dogs, admittedly, are not the easiest patients. I adopted both of them as adults, and they have their quirks. However, the dogs aren't afraid and the team gets the job done without issues and plenty of bribery. To clear up some other issues with other reviews - Are they available after hours, weekends, and holidays for emergencies? No! They are not an er vet clinic. Yes, they may not be able to fit you in immediately. But they do have first call, same day appointments which has worked out well in urgent situations - when they fill up, they fill up. Staff will call you if there is a cancellation and they understand the urgency of your need. I can't blame their team for needing some sort of work/life balance! I believe they offer care credit and other options if you can't immediately afford the care your animal needs. There is some sort of gift basket raffle every now and again to raise money for needy pets. Overall, I recommend this office for the thorough care my pets receive. Thank you to the team at APC!
