Went today with a group of girlfriends (6 of us) to spend the morning and get services. The customer service was subpar at best unfortunately and the scalp detox wasnt anything special in the moment. I will see how my hair feels in the days coming and update accordingly. As to customer service, prior to coming (day or two before) I recieved a text message that my service is set for 2pm and to complete an intake form (which I did). When I arrived I was advised my service wasnt until 245 but everyone else in my group would be at 2. I asked why I recieved a text that my service was at 2 and they said we'll you can enjoy the lounge. I said well I am paying an extra fee to be able to use the lounge so I dont quite know how that is a response. Again I asked why was I sent a message that my service was at 2 when it isn't. They said they didn't know. I asked why I wasn't contacted to let me know I would be 45 minutes after everyone and for me to consider a different service. I was again provided no response and instead they attempted to blame the friend that book all of us (when she in fact was never told I would be delayed). I ended up going in at 2:51 (took a screenshot of my phone showing the time) as my friends were coming out and starting to hang out. They acted as if I was wrong for being a bit annoyed and offered no options or even apologies. Then when we went to check out they added in a 20% gratuity to each or our bills even though we were separate and didn't even tell 3 of the girls in our group that they did so and ended up getting way more of a tip than was reasonable even for exceptional service. The lounge is cute. But with the customer service, lack of communication, and overcharging people on a tip we will definitely not be back. I had a couples massage scheduled and we got to the front desk and were told that it was rescheduled for 2 weeks out on a random day. Never got a phone call or email saying our original appointment would no longer workout. I even confirmed the appointment 2 days before and filled out the paperwork. We were offered a massage one at a time while the other person watched. We drove over a hour and a half for a birthday gift and never got to do it. This was handled incredibly poorly and will not schedule any future appointments. read more

Poppi's is an absolute gem! I received a gift card for my birthday, so I used it on a facial. It was absolutely phenomenal. The staff were friendly and helpful. It sits in the old News on 6 building, which they converted into the spa. I interned in the building ages ago and you can't recognize that it was a news station - they've done a great job on the remodel! Kaeley was amazing - she is so talented and knows her stuff! I had one of the best massages ever at Popp's SPA & Lounge!! As a person whose been getting massages for over 20 years, going to SPAs is part of my selfcare. I'm visiting from California and this place was recommended by family. As my husband and I prepared to leave the SPA, we were already wanting to come back. I carry tension in my upper back and often told by other massage therapists that my back and shoulders are tight with knots. Because of this, I do my best to get massages on a regular basis. Well, if you are anything like me, this is the place for you! John-Paul is gifted at assessing your needs and targeting areas in your body that require special techniques with the perfect amount of pressure. He added the Rosewood aromatherapy, which definitely enhanced the experience. As he massaged and kneaded my back, I could feel my body releasing stress and tension. I did a package, and I thought it went great! I never felt rushed. I actually felt that I was rushing out, but I had some mom FOMO. The owner was sweet, and she checked in on me between each service. I felt like everything was explained well. My massage and facial were incredible (Larry and Lex). I got some serious deep tissue therapy that I needed. Likewise, my face looked significantly improved after the facial. I thought the lounge was clean. One minor inconvenience was that the Sauna has a touch screen, and I couldn't get the right time set. (Probably from oil/lotion hands) I probably could have asked for help, but I only wanted a little bit of time in there anyways. I will come back. read more

I'm part of Tulsa Remote, who partnered with Plannly, a health and wellness company, to give new members of Tulsa Remote some assistance with move from out of state. I had a super rough day Tuesday and decided to take advantage of this program by booking a massage at Poppi's. It was clean, quiet and serene. Audrey, at the front desk, was kind, pointed me to the locker rooms, showed me how to use the lockers and got me all set up. I would absolutely recommend Poppi's for a massage or any of the other options. Superb service and John Paul was wonderful. He's been a LMT for 20 years and was awesome. This is your sign that sometimes the most INSTAGRAMABLE and TRENDIEST places are NOT the best places to go to! I've never felt so heavily about a place that I had to leave a review which speaks for itself! First, I've been to multiple spas and salons, and they do not nickel and dime their guests the way this place does! Charging for drinks, teas, champagne, naps, aromatics, and snacks or just utilizing a WAITING ROOM feels like you're getting squeezed out for every penny. In addition to that, their website made the mistake of MISCHARGING us and they changed the total price of our visit after we were done by DOUBLE. I only wished I had screenshotted my price breakdown while I was booking but even when I showed her my receipt email she validated our argument by saying she didn't know why our online receipt and website gave us that concluded amount considering all the information on my receipt was CORRECT. Yet she still made us a pay double than what we booked at! Lastly, as someone who runs their own business, I think money = quality! Things can be overpriced if they are worth the price and this place was NOT WORTH IT! My partner, who is an athlete asked for a deep tissue passage and left feeling dissatisfied because his muscles were not worked on good enough. Paying $125 and leaving with a little few adjustments is unpleasing! I'm assuming they used their profit towards the aesthetics and looks and it works! I treated myself to a spa day for my birthday. Overall my first experience at Poppi's was wonderful. The lounge area is such a relaxing vibe. I left my book at home, but luckily they had a few magazines available to read. I got a traditional massage which was great. I also got an add-on for stretching and that was the only thing I did not particularly like about my experience. I've had this service done before and it just wasn't giving what I needed. I'm planning to go back in the near future and would gladly recommend this place. read more

I really didn't want to write a bad review...I booked this for my bday present to myself. I got the Therapeutic Shower, Massage, & Custom Facial package. It is a beautiful, the staff was friendly, but... THE MASSAGE, I thought I was a fair-minded woman when it comes to receiving a massage from a man, but I am not. I booked the massage weeks in advance with a female in the massage booking. For the skin service, I don't care if it's male or female. Anyway, upon arrival I was changed to a male masseuse. I agreed reluctantly, but thought I would be able to have a relaxing time regardless of gender, but I felt weird. The massage was okay. I didn't notice a big difference in my knots as I always request trigger point pressure massage. Maybe the massage would have been good if I wasn't weirded out ‍. I took a gummy too, which I usually do before a spa visit. I don't know if that helped or hindered. Details: weird downtempo R&B style "relaxing music"=sounded like porn music . Again maybe that was my own weird ass brain and cannabis fueled paranoia...And, the masseuse had to stop repeatedly to skip commercials b/c he hasn't purchase a Pandora or whatever subscription. Lemmie describe the masseuse. I don't want to be a "mean girl" but I saw this buff, bro looking dude with a good chain and slicked back hair and, again, tried to be cool. I'm not cool. Couldn't do it. I should have listened to my intuition, I guess. Could be fine for someone else, but not my bag. Sorry, massage guy! I felt safe. Never felt like this person had bad intentions. It was just very tacky and not my style for a spa. That, and apparently I'm a sexist when it comes to the massage. THE FACIAL, chatty. Didn't mind. She was very pleasant, but I don't know why an aesthetician would be except to ask skin probs, allergies, preferences, etc, and to make sure you're comfortable. I assumed she's a new, young person trying to make a rapport with clients for retention. As a stylist, I get that. Don't worry about chatting much, the proof is in the quality of the service and happy skin. I am a very oily, acne prone person. I told her as much. I got this interesting jade wand thing massage with oil for lymphatic drainage she decided to do. Never had that before. It was probably the best part of the whole visit b/c the way it feels is very relaxing, which was the whole reason I had come--to relax, pamper myself, and to have some peace and quiet. The bad part was this or some other product overstimulated my oily, acne prone skin. The next day, I had 2 cystic acne pop up on my forehead. The were painful, and as far as I'm aware, hormonal acne doesn't occur on the forehead besides the fact this was the last day of my period ‍ worst news is that I have been broken out all over my face ever since ( it's been a full month). I am wondering if I should see a doctor. Maybe I have an infection? I don't think allergic reactions could last this long... THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE, it is literally them walking you back to the group dressing room to a public shower and giving you one table spoon of scrub and lotion to take a shower. Thanks, I guess. Seems to be very underwhelming. I wouldn't call it therapeutic. Just say, "complementary scrub and lotion included for showering after services". I've had a Vichy Shower at Three Graces in NW OKC. THAT is a therapeutic shower. You are massaged with custom sea salt, oil, and essential oils til you are soft af & then placed under a 7 head rainfall shower that falls in a percussive way from your base of your skull to your arches of your feet for 35 mins in low light, private environment. I usually meditate while I do this. The tech comes back after you're done de stressing. It is an experience! INFRARED SAUNA, SALT ROOM, COLOR POD.... I would chill here in between services, and the concierge would look kind of flustered that I'd enjoy these things between services. Like it was hard to find me or I wasn't supposed to do it like that. I wasn't given instruction, so IDK. I figured, I'm going to chill hard instead of waiting on a couch and serving myself cucumber water (there is complementary champagne, coffee, tea, water, or wine at my fav spa, Three Graces). Also, these facilities aside from the infrared sauna were kinda dirty. I wasn't really shown any of these assets, so I figured out how to use the sauna myself. The color pod was small, but I tried it out for a few mins. It's basically a small teepee with cool Violet kinda of light. The salt room I had no clue where it was, so I asked to take a look on my way out. read more

Self-care is a little hard for me right now but I was blessed with the opportunity to visit Poppi's and receive a 90 min massage and a 60 min body scrub by Gianna and OMG!!! She is tiny but she is MIGHTY! She has healing hands and she is very consistent in her massage! She served me in EXCELLENCE! I have been chilling in the lounge for almost 2 hours.. Actually a 4 to 4.5 star review but as a business owner I don't wanna trash a business based on a single impression. Pros: they were one of two spas that could get me in so quickly. Con: a salt room, and lukewarm infrared sauna, and light teepee is not my idea of "relaxing". There was heavy guilting about tipping 20%. Normally I tip even more than that but the emphasis on it and my experience made me too 15% instead. I was told that my massage would be a deep stretching massage with hot stones added. It ended up just being a non-deep, non-stretching hot stone massage where the stones were actually a little too hot. None of the areas I mentioned as an area of focus were focused on, which was a first for me. They also charge to use their communal area, which honestly, should be included in the price if one is also buying a massage. They ended up dropping the fee without me even bringing it up, which I appreciated. My idea is a spa is a steam room and hot coal cedar dry sauna separately for men and women and a deep pressure massage. For what I got, I think I think they need to slightly reduce their prices. For the convenience and location, and for Tulsa not having a lot of other similar options, it's still better than nothing. read more

We book a Jade package spa day for the 3 of us that are great friends getting one of us wedding ready in couple months. Months of planning can cause a little stress so we thought this would be perfect. Our treatments were fantastic. 90 min massage 90 min facial and scalp detox yes please. But as soon as we got done with one We were rushed into the next treatment. Which was ok because our treatments were 90 mins long each. But after our facials were were rushed into our therapeutic showers.And that's when the pushing from the front end girls really started. my friend was drying her hair after getting out of the shower and one of the girls says to us that the next group is coming in so we need to move out of the locker room. So we all go to the lounge have a few bites of our cheese tray that we brought and sipped some Champagne. Now that are spa services were complete we were ready to enjoy the lounge area...or try. The day pass to the lounge area was included in our package. While we're we're trying to enjoy to salt room 3 different girls came in telling us our time was up because there were other people waiting. we decided to try out the color pod. Again 3 different interruptios. One of them told us we had extended our day pass by over 2 hours....there was a time limit on a day pass??? Another one told us another group was coming in and we need to get out of the pod so she could change the bedding. When we asked about our beverage that came with our package the girl said one didn't come with it. So this was about the 3rd time I pulled up the website to clarify that it did come with one. And she blamed the marketing person that what it said on the website didn't match what was in the system. They also said they have never had anyone stay longer than 4 hours. ( our spa services were 3giurs) We were constantly being told that we needed to move from here or there because another group was coming in. I spent $350+ for my spa day it while the services were great the girls running the salon were unprofessional to say the least. You should know what your client is coming in for, what's included and be treated like you want them to come back and spend money. Despite the constant interruptions the 3 of us had a great day, got in some good laughs and tried to enjoy the lounge as much as we could. The customer service on the front end could use some work...lots of work. I can't forget that the bathroom stall was out out toilet paper and the paper towel drape set was jammed. What! for the amount of money spent I feel like these girls should have been cleaning the bathrooms at some point. The professionals performing the services like massage and facials and excellent! If you book a package just be sure you know what's included in the services you are paying for because the young girls don't have a clue! read more

We visited this place recently while we were in Tulsa for a marathon. The place when you walk in was very clean and gave a very tranquil feel. The owner showed us to the locker room and offered us all champagne, did not mention it was $11 per glass and it was house champagne at best. We assumed it was complimentary since I have never been to a spa where they actually charge for champagne. And it is totally okay if this place did, but it was never mentioned to us that it was a cost and there was not a drink menu given to us either. The massage I received was good and the therapist was nice. However, what was lacking in the lounge area, which was a charge of $15 if you had a service and $35 without one was not worth it. There was a salt room, a teepee of some sort that could only fit 2 at most, and a tiny infrared suana which never seem to get that hot was not worth paying for. That should just be offered for simply a lounge area while waiting for service. Then there is a 20% gratuity automatically added. We did mention to the front desk girl when checking out that we were not informed the champagne was $11 because it was not told to us, she didn't seem to care and was like "well that is what we charge." This was clearly the business's fault for the non-communication and they should have just refunded back our two friends for the champagne for their mistake. So I continue to write an email to the owner and that was a week ago. No answer or an email back. As a business owner myself, I find it to be very unprofessional not to even try to reply back to your customers who spent a good amount of money at your business. So please try to do better and please make sure when you offer items that will be with a charge, simply say "Would you care for some champagne, if so, it would be $11 per glass?" I can't imagine how many people they have charged for this that did not know there was a cost. I am a regular at a local spa in my hometown and they do offer complementary drinks but if a charge for tea or something special, they always hand you a menu. That way there is no confusion and your relaxing day didn't turn into something annoying. read more

I visited poppi's while I was in Tulsa for a work trip. The staff is extremely nice and if my review was based on that I would give them 5 stars! Unfortunately the actual service wasn't good. I got my bikini, cheeks and eyebrows waxed, as well as an eyebrow tint. The girl who did my waxing was very nice and made me feel comfortable, I have a low pain tolerance when it comes to waxing so I really appreciated that, but it felt like she may have been inexperienced. She was very slow, went over spots multiple times and left a lot of small pieces of wax on my body. We then talked about my eyebrows, which she was very thorough with but waxed off the tail end of my brows leaving about 3/4's left of my brow. I also got my brows tinted but saw no difference in color or fullness. I was upset, but did the thing where you smile and say you love it to avoid confrontation. I expressed my concerns to the girl at the front desk who was very empathetic and comped the eyebrow services. I believe this place is new, so they may just be working the kinks out. I will commend them on how they handled my complaints though. read more
