It was Friday night in Roanoke Rapids, and I was 200-hundred miles from home, and 200-miles from my scuba dive site. Instead of diving, I spent Saturday calling every auto shop in RR; they were either closed on weekends (What is the logic behind that...cars break on weekends too!?!?!) or they did not have the equipment to fix my car. I thought I was going to be stuck in RR until Monday. On Sunday, I expanded my search list to surrounding towns. I came across a shop in Gaston. Although that shop cannot fix my car, the mechanic referred me to Turner's. I called Mr. Turner and explained my dilemma. He told me to have the car towed to his shop immediately so they can fix it, and get me back on the road the same day. Woohoo! What a relief that was. Since I am not a mechanic, I will probably embarrass myself attempting to explain their work. Therefore, I will only say this much: Turner Mechanics are professionals when it comes to autos. They fixed my car, and I was back on the road in the afternoon. I wish the shop is located closer to me, because there is no doubt that I would take my cars to Turner's for everything--I trust their workmanship, 100%.

Driving up route 95 from the other side of NC to the far north east I ran over something taking out…read more2 of my tires. I was alone driving cross country and it was 11pm. My children were ready to jump in their car and drive the 4 hours to get to me... then we were told about David's Towing. We called them and instantly was told that the driver was coming, was 15 minutes away and would stay with me until I was safely settled. The car needed to stay over night. The driver brought me to a Hilton hotel, went inside to verify they had a room for me and even waited for me to be checked in before he left. He even told me in the morning not to call Uber they would come get me. By midnight I had an update on the car and I went to sleep. The next morning I received a call saying the car was done and it was done before I had to check out of the hotel. Someone was on their way to get me. The pricing was reasonable and being a woman alone at their mercy they could have charged me anything.... But they didn't. I got back on the road for a 12 hour drive. Imagine my shock when about 12 hours later I received a text from the owner just asking if I had made it home safely. I couldn't believe he would even think to do that! I told him I was still on my way but close, wished him well and finally made it home. I highly highly recommend David's towing. I can't rave about them enough, or say how safe I felt!
