What was the dozen of items included a rack with Easter items; Easter was almost 2 months ago. Both my husband and I found the ad to be very misleading. I graduated from college back in the 70's with a degree in retailing and worked in the industry for a number of years. While the woman behind the counter made light of our complaints I remember this type of advertising being labeled as "bait and switch" We did purchase a couple of items and when we got home they charged a service fee on our purchase for using a credit card. It would have been nice if like other retail establishments and restaurants you indicated there would be a service charge for using a card. Well folks you lost our future business. The owner responded to my review . There was no sign indicating a charge for Credit card purchases on the counter at the point of sale as she indicated in her response. And I copied and pasted the exact wording in quotes in my review via the email we received regarding the sale.. I have viewed Instagram videos over the years and the owner cashed me out. If you look at another review on this site they also indicated prices had gone drastically up. The one true statement is no one pressured us to buy anything,

We were peaking around the corner at Homegrown and decided to wander in while we let our ice cream melt into the soda. We bought our first house in the last two years, and we're still always looking for those little things that complete a room. Homegrown has a beautiful of collection of fake plants that don't look fake. We picked up a beautiful ceramic flower pot with a fake succulent (because I kill all living succulents) that looks just perfect on the dresser in our guest room. They also have candle holders, plates, bowls, and other knickknacks. It's not cheap, but the products they sell are beautiful! Try it out!

I carried on, thinking I was being too sensitive. By the time I reached the other side of the store, there it was again. And I noticed a large toy/sign/car booth in the back right corner that had lots of mid century or newer vintage toys-- SEE PIC. Should you stop in, check out the rewired & refinished antique radios-- many gorgeous ones! There are hardly any primitives here & not many vintage furniture pieces, but it's definitely a worthy antique mall. When I'm in the Murphysboro area again, I'll likely stop in.
