We first visited Re-Invintage when we moved to Tennessee 6 years ago. It used to be a quaint store with nice reasonable priced items. We have purchase furniture, paint and other household items over the years for our home. I received an email this past week indicating "You'll find dozens of items marked 50% to 70% off this Friday and Saturday only. (Watch our social media Thursday evening, and I might give you a sneak preview!)" I didn't see any high-lighted items in the Facebook posting. What was the dozen of items included a rack with Easter items; Easter was almost 2 months ago. Both my husband and I found the ad to be very misleading. I graduated from college back in the 70's with a degree in retailing and worked in the industry for a number of years. While the woman behind the counter made light of our complaints I remember this type of advertising being labeled as "bait and switch" We did purchase a couple of items and when we got home they charged a service fee on our purchase for using a credit card. It would have been nice if like other retail establishments and restaurants you indicated there would be a service charge for using a card. Well folks you lost our future business. The owner responded to my review . There was no sign indicating a charge for Credit card purchases on the counter at the point of sale as she indicated in her response. And I copied and pasted the exact wording in quotes in my review via the email we received regarding the sale.. I have viewed Instagram videos over the years and the owner cashed me out. Sitting a mile or so down Franklin Road once you pop off 65 is this quaint little shop featuring all types of décor, furniture, art, tchotchkes and more. If you feel like you may miss it, just look for the big metal chicken standing out front! We popped in Re-Invintage as part of our sweep of Murfreesboro furniture shops. While it is in plain sight and not far from a busy area, this store feels like a hidden gem. We were not after anything in particular, so we just browed around the shop for a bit. I will say that the theme of Re-Invintage is definitely Farm House. Most of the items from the art to the furniture to the accessories were all tailored towards a Farm House aesthetic. Nothing wrong with that, just not our scene anymore. While we did not pick anything up, we did see a nightstand we liked and enjoyed smelling the locally made candles they had near the front! Service was pretty non-existent until we were heading out. The young lady working the front counter never said one thing to us, even though she watched us walk in, walk around and walk out...the owner, I assume, came out of the back office as we were making our way out and wished us well and to come back. When they first opened a couple years ago, they had some cool vintage and repurposed things, but now it's just mostly things you could buy at Hobby lobby or Homegoods for half or less of the price reinvintage is charging. What a shame, because it's a nice location and they could have some cool handmade and vintage things! And sadly, the young girls that work there couldn't care less if you're there. I suspect this shop won't last much longer with its current merchandising structure. Please consider going back to your roots. read more

It was time for a new crossbody bag for summer. I had been to several other places with no luck. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and found what I was looking for.
