We were peaking around the corner at Homegrown and decided to wander in while we let our ice cream melt into the soda. We bought our first house in the last two years, and we're still always looking for those little things that complete a room. Homegrown has a beautiful of collection of fake plants that don't look fake. We picked up a beautiful ceramic flower pot with a fake succulent (because I kill all living succulents) that looks just perfect on the dresser in our guest room. They also have candle holders, plates, bowls, and other knickknacks. It's not cheap, but the products they sell are beautiful! Try it out!

Another vendor, that I don't know, told me who to email. I didn't like that it was such a secret. I received my first payment last week after not getting paid for several months. I think that they are finally stepping up and helping vendors out as I am not the only one this has happened to.

They even wall decor, accessories and jewelry! Two things keep me coming back: the owner and the chalk paint. The artist who owns the shop is so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. She explained how to use the paint and wax on my old furniture, and let me say, I now have some pieces just as beautiful as the furniture in the shop. Which brings me to the second thing, the products! Country Chic paint and wax are terrific. I love the ease of transforming my old junky furniture into heirlooms I can enjoy for years.

If you feel like you may miss it, just look for the big metal chicken standing out front! We popped in Re-Invintage as part of our sweep of Murfreesboro furniture shops. While it is in plain sight and not far from a busy area, this store feels like a hidden gem. We were not after anything in particular, so we just browed around the shop for a bit. I will say that the theme of Re-Invintage is definitely Farm House. Most of the items from the art to the furniture to the accessories were all tailored towards a Farm House aesthetic. Nothing wrong with that, just not our scene anymore. While we did not pick anything up, we did see a nightstand we liked and enjoyed smelling the locally made candles they had near the front! Service was pretty non-existent until we were heading out. The young lady working the front counter never said one thing to us, even though she watched us walk in, walk around and walk out...the owner, I assume, came out of the back office as we were making our way out and wished us well and to come back. They still function perfectly. We just bought two more recliners for my home office and I couldn't be more thrilled with the quality, craftsmanship and comfort. Clay and the entire Mid Tenn Furniture staff were great to work with and took great care of us from beginning to end. They will have our return business for sure!
