Unfortunately, I didn't read carefully and the bowls were not microwave safe. My kids are not old enough to differentiate which bowls can and cannot go in the microwave, so I returned them. My mother has been in the hospital so I just chucked the bowls in a box with no... anything---not even a note or my name or the order number or anything, and Sunset & Co. immediately refunded my purchase upon their arrival and notified me of it by email while I was away helping my mother. I am so impressed by their customer service when I was quite the terrible customer. I'll keep watching their website and am eager to try again to find something delightful from this shop!

The shop manager, Lori, made our visit unforgettable. She was incredibly kind and took the time to show us the fountain pens as well as introduced us to all the wonderful products the shop offers. You can really tell how much she cares about the customers. If you're a stationery lover or even just curious about fountain pens/journals or the paper goods they have to offer, this is absolutely the place to visit. I got my favorite pair of earrings here from a local vendor (mom and daughter) and I get compliments all the time. I also got a present for my friend here and she loved it. Was doing a return on some shoes I had only worn once, I had called in…read moreadvance to see if it was possible to, since the shoes had some scuff marks to it and minor scratches, the employee I spoke to on the phone said it was and that it is expected by the company that customers would wear their items up to 5 times before returning so that it was okay. My return was done by the Store Manager who was blatantly rude the entire interaction because she was having to accommodate just the once, but even with accommodating gave attitude the entire time and reminded me that customers weren't allowed to make returns with it being scuffed, which is the exact opposite of what I was told by the employee. I used to be an ASM for a retail place as well, there's genuinely no need for that type of attitude and unprofessionalism, especially when I was the one misinformed. Granted they still made the return but needless to say I'll never come back to that location since the SM doesn't know how to treat people.

That is why this Target location has been my go-to when we are in need of a couple of grocery items. Compared to other stores, Target has wide hallways where you can actually keep your distance from other customers. This location is never too busy, so you can get in and out pretty easy. The staff has always been super helpful and they clorox wipe all the shopping carts ahead of time. Toilet paper is something you will definitely not find at this Target location, but their produce area is really well stocked. Went there to purchase a mini refrigerator. This complaint…read moreis not about the mini refrigerator--it is a great product. My concern is about the customer service I received. When I arrived at the refrigerator display, I needed assistance moving the unit to the front of the store. I am 74 years old and was not willing to risk injuring myself by moving it alone. I saw an employee walking nearby and said, "Excuse me." He turned and looked directly at me, and I raised my hand to get his attention. Despite clearly seeing me, he continued walking without acknowledging me or asking whether I needed assistance. I asked my wife whether she had seen what happened because I could not believe that he had completely ignored me. What should have been an enjoyable purchase became a frustrating and upsetting experience. I then approached another employee named Daniella and asked for help taking the refrigerator to the front and loading it into my vehicle. She was very kind, attentive and eager to help. When I described the employee who had ignored me, she identified him as Gilbert from the electronics department. At my request, a manager named Chris came to speak with me. I explained what had happened and told him that Gilbert's behavior was discourteous and completely uncalled for. I eventually purchased the refrigerator and received the assistance I needed, but none of that assistance came from Gilbert. I remained upset on the drive home because of how I had been treated at Target that evening. Please counsel Gilbert about the importance of acknowledging customers and treating them with basic courtesy and respect. Employees should understand that older customers may genuinely need assistance with heavy merchandise. If this behavior continues after management has been made aware of it, then management must also accept responsibility for allowing it.

Some of the trends we noticed this year: Black Panther and Wonder Woman. Games like Fortnite and Fallout. New (and new-ish) shows like Miraculous (Cat Noir and Ladybug), Steven Universe, and Descendants. The big face masks -- kittens, emojis, politicians -- are hilarious. Steampunk seems to be on the rise. On this trip, my big haul was accessories like silly hats (useful for public speaking gigs), tights (for goth dress up), and cute hats and fascinators (for parties).
