Made a 9:00am appointment with Josh. Arrived by 8:55am only to sit and wait. By 9:20am Josh still didn't arrive. At 9:25 I asked if anyone else could fit me in - there were 5 or 6 other barbers there and I was told sorry no they were all booked. I left completely annoyed. Without a haircut. It's a shame because this would have been my second time there. The first time I got a really good haircut from another barber. But I won't be back. I think it was completely unprofessional on their part and there are far too many barbers in the area. I will go elsewhere. read more

Been going here about a year now, always saw Reggie. Over the last couple months he's been slipping... talked on the phone (airpods) the entire time he cut my hair, and then this last time booked me for an appointment and was over 30 minutes late. I had to walk out as it was scheduled during my break and he didn't notify me, apologize, nothing. He's a great barber, but think he's become too comfortable. I'll be moving on elsewhere. read more

I always said it's harder to find a good barber than it is to find a good dentist - and way more important! One of the last REAL barber shops. Sports on the TVs (or sometimes good movies), good conversation, super friendly atmosphere. A place where you don't mind hanging out if your barber is running a bit behind - which doesn't happen often at all. I insisted a barber do what they felt was right. It usually works out for me, the barber just says what they're going to do and they do it. And that's what was happening until halfway through the cut. I guess they got carried away with the idea of someone saying they could do what they felt was right and they decided to go in a drastic direction and not say anything until it was done. I'm guessing the idea was to "set up" for other cuts or something but I'm seriously embarrassed with this haircut. They did what they were trying to do correctly, but I don't know why you'd do this to someone who has to show their face in public. My advice would be tell your client what you're about to do before you do it, instead of getting carried away. I place a lot of trust in a barber to say they should do what they feel is right, and part of that trust is trusting they'll communicate if their idea is something drastic. In thought about it and I think it's too harsh to say 1 star, I was the one who asked him to do what he wanted (again, I expected some communication if that something was removing most of my hair) and the cut he was going for is well done, it's just not what I was going for. read more

Easily the best barbershop in the area. They always do a great job and make sure you are happy with your cut. The prices are fair, especially when you consider the quality of their work. They edge you up with a straight razor, instead of just the electric clipper. You should definitely make an appointment because they do get crowded, but it's well worth the wait. I got to the barber shop today at 2:50 in the afternoon and there was a person in the chair getting a haircut and no one else in front of me. One of the 2 barbers working said he had an upcoming appointment however the other guy would take me when he was done. I saw there until 3:35 and waited patiently until the barber I was waiting for came over an said he had a father and two sons coming in for an appointment that he forgot about and I would have to wait until 6:00. What a joke this place is. I wouldnt go back if they paid me. STAY AWAY! How unprofessional can you get. I came back to town for a wedding and walked in to Popular Demand to check it out for the first time. They guys were courteous and gave me an estimate on the wait time. I've had my hair cut by Pat before, and knew it would be worth the wait. All of the barbers at Popular Demand take their time to ensure that each customer gets exactly what they want, and I only ended up waiting 30 min. Not to mention that once in the chair you arent being rushed out and can even get a straight razor shave. These guys are an A+ team and definitely worth the wait for a walk in.... I requested for beard shaving as well , it was bit ordinary, i really expected a high quality shaving as in other high reviewed places, but i did not get that in here, i got like a walmart beard cut if you know what i mean. I was very disappointed in the haircut my son received here. They seem to do the same haircut on every person. My son asked to have the sides cleaned up and top "slightly trimmed". His hair was completely butchered and will take months to get it right again. Trying to get him to just shave it at this point. read more

We are from CA and my son is attending prep school in CT. He was desperate for a haircut while we were out visiting. He usually gets his haircut from my gal but she's in CA so my husband decided to try SuperCuts. Thankfully it was a 1.5 hour wait. We didn't have much time since we were on our way to NYC so I looked on Yelp and found this gem. I called and they were able to get him in within 45 minutes. When we walked in we were a bit skeptical because although the place was nice inside everyone was getting a buzz cut of some sort. Not exactly the look he wears :) I can't remember the barber's name but he did a great job. My son showed him pictures and he was able to cut it just the way he likes it. Long in the front, short and clean on the sides and back. Very satisfied with outcome and with the confidence of the barber and his attention to detail. Prices were great too!
