However, I took a star away due to the availability of concession items. This game took place after work so there was really no time to grab something to eat. Wishful thinking, I thought the concessions would offer something at least to get me through the two games. Oh well, I made it work and was OK. There is plenty of parking here and the ticket line moved pretty swiftly. We were not able to purchase tickets online - this was a cash only event and it helped to have the exact cash. I am not sure how the school is - but congrats to the Varsity Girls Basketball Team for winning the championship! Well deserved. Have fun and enjoy life ;)

This was focused on water sports, so she spent a lot of time on the James River stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming (in the pool). They even did archery, campfires, sang songs, learned to make bracelets, play games and much more! My daughter even loved the food. It was great that they even allowed her to bring green juices + probiotics (that needed refrigeration), so she could consume daily! This is part of her daily healthy regimen and I am so glad they were thoughtful enough to allow this. She came home with a lot of stories + journal entries! I was excited to read and listen to all of the camp experiences! Of course she's already excited for the opportunity to attend next year!

This is an elementary setting grades 4 through 6th graders. Alike any other school in order to have success with our kids we have to be involved. Be involved! All of our kids' teachers are approachable and available for consulting when you need them. The parents of the children attending seem engaged and involved 100%. This community is a small residential district and the kids and parents do a great job of supporting one another as well as the kids. All good here at Westside. We feel at ease knowing our child is in very capable hands. Our kiddo loves his teachers, classmates and principal and is excited about school and learning. The kindergarten team is amazing. They have high expectations for the kiddos and are gentle, patient and persistent with them. Our class's lead teacher has been very approachable, and we have appreciated consistent updates and parental outreach. The administration's communication to parents is excellent- this is something you don't always find from other schools. They have absolutely triumphed through this pandemic and it is because they have kept the lines of communication open with staff and parents. Most importantly, they have made ZERO concessions and compromises when it has come to the children's health and safety. Bravo. We are glad that we are part of the HRA community.

I am "difficult" to please, however, I have nothing but praise for HRA. Well thought out program of instruction. Highly engaging highly educated teachers who really LOVE their jobs and search to connect with the students. Fabulous morals, stress on personal responsibility. We really like the mentoring program. Further, the sports and arts programs are among the best in the state for private schools. Happy students, engaged teachers, great programs for every grade level. Really unique trips, projects, and activities make the school the center of our lives even though we live 30 minutes away. We don't mine the drive (plus they provide a bus). Great place to be!

He actually got to go to school 3 times before the decision was made to not to let him come back. Apparently he had a hard time transitioning from one activity to the next ( something that I thought would be taught while in preschool?) It was suggested I look into a child study as well. I was made to think maybe something was wrong with my son. I decided to give another preschool a try ( a real Christian school). It took a few days but he eventually got into a good routine. He has done so well that I realized it wasn't my child... it was the lack of care and unwillingness of not one but two teachers ! I am sorry but there is just no excuse . Our new school has been around for over 30 years and expressed to me how in all that time they have never turned away a child. that's when I realized I wasn't dealing with a Christian School that actually wanted to help children. they are more interested in collecting what funds they can without having to put in much effort and that is just sa.. my son was not given a proper chance.
