My first visit to this dentist, like the previous Yelper I too have a fear of dentists (don't we…read moreall?) - but today was a very relaxed and pleasant visit. I was prompted to go because of some pain that told me something really bad could be coming. The office itself is rather like a sprawling modern house. I think that there are as many as 8 dentists practicing there (see pic), but I only met one, Jag, who was amazing. As it turns out I had actual 'procedure' today - just exploration and X-rays. Trust me I have many probing dentists elsewhere (in the US mainly) and pain always follows but Jag was SUPER cautious and all was without any screeches from me. We determined that everything was structurally sound and the pain was either sinus related or a nerve playing up under an existing crown. For today we left it at that, take an anti-biotic for a week and then re-examine - most likely to the endodontist for me to drill through the crown and do a root canal (hopefully painless!) and save the cost and hassle of having new crown made. 5 stars so far!! I have to say though that I couldn't fault the care and attention that I got. I would recommend (as much as I could any dentist) Alexadra Dental Care to anyone who is nervous about visiting a dentist.

However, while I don't LIKE going to the dentist, these guys are very good. Professional, friendly people, great dentists - and (most importantly) pretty much pain free! Indeed having root canal and falling asleep during the process is surely a wonderful outcome and a great compliment to the dentists work and customer care. I have had a LOT of dental work over the years but my experiences and results at Bridge Dental make me rate them highest of all. Two molars up - oops I mean two thumbs up!!

I have just had 12 teeth removed and new dentures made by Raj Mistry - I am the most nervous…read morepatient and have been putting off treatment for over a year - my teeth were badly in need of treatment with several loose teeth and loose crowns - gum disease -my teeth were the last thing I thought about at night and the first thing I thought about in the morning. I was constantly worried of more teeth falling out and me being literally a toothless smile. I went to see Raj Mistry who immediately made meek feel calm - he talked me through everything and gave me confidence to trust him. I had all the teeth removed and a new top and bottom denture made and put in immediately after my teeth were removed. I had IV sedation I felt nothing and remember nothing though I was awake during the whole procedure. My new denture is superb - it looks real and not false - I have my smile and I could not be happier - I wish I had met Raj sooner. I know there must be lots of people like me worrying about needing dentistry - I wish I had met Raj sooner because I perhaps would have kept my own teeth longer - however my new denture is perhaps visually as good as it gets - thank you Dencare 1 smile you are amazing xxx

I've never experienced or heard of such an extensive consultation as the one that my mum was given in the first appointment- the dentist not only cares about dental decay and obvious problems in the mouth but also asks if patients are happy with their smile, whether they suffer from headaches (and whether they could be linked to teeth problems), gave lots of explanations none of which was rushed (so unlike everything she experienced!)! She was then sent a report that listed all her options such that she could freely make up her mind, lots of brochures, and was told she could call any time if she had a question on any of those - wow. I was similarly impressed when she came back to do the treatment- Eamonn and Isabella have a great synergy and while being efficient they were never short of extra explanations or making her comfortable (btw, have you ever been given sunglasses at the dentist so you're not disturbed by the bright light? standard in this practice, havent seen that before). Eamonn made adjustments to the denture as long as it was necessary to fit well. If you are looking for a dentist that takes your well-being serious and does not just look at you like you were a money bag (sadly, both my mum and myself had that with other dental practices), then go here and search no more. Compliments also to the rest of the practice team, each of them is friendly and treated us well.

Another nervous moment... going to the dentist! Mr. Snarky was really in need of a dentist and I…read morewas convinced I had the start of a cavity. After looking online I stumbled across Cavendish Dental Care. They address nervous patients and have their prices online, so it is quite transparent. When I rang up, they were able to register me over the phone, although they do take a £40 fee to ensure that you do turn up to your consultation. She did inform me that they weren't taking NHS patients as of a couple weeks ago, but that was fine with us. We don't seem to be in any catchment area, but we need a dentist, so we registered anyway. There is a small amount of parking out front of the office, but I think the closest car park is the Rose Hill Car Park, unless you can find some parking on one of the streets nearby. They do close at lunch time so if you are trying to make an appointment or turn up a bit early for your appointment just after lunch, you'll have to wait until everyone returns. The waiting area is quite large with dental equipment for purchase behind the desk. There is a t.v. with images and ads playing... in fact some of the diagrams of various dental problems were quite interesting as I've not seen anything like that before. When I went back to meet the dentist, I was pleasantly surprised at how modern and welcoming the room was. When they recline the chair, you'll notice a t.v. above the chair that you can focus on. Although rather than a t.v. show, it just had BBC Radio 2 on. The dentist is very soft spoken and very gentle. While I didn't feel pressured at all, I can already tell that they are suggesting services and as we have registered as private patients... it will probably cost a pretty penny. For example, I still have a baby tooth, but there is no adult tooth to replace it. As a result, my previous dentists have advised me to take care of it and said with care it will probably last for a long time. At this appointment they were already talking about implants for it, but apparently it still looks healthy and there is no movement... However, as long as there is no pressure into services that aren't needed immediately, then we will get on just fine.

I didn't feel at this point I could give it a 5 star as I have yet to pluck up the courage to have it done but the advice and help I was given has left me feeling fairly sure I will have teh procedure done which isn't bad considering how nervous I get when going to the dentist!

For about the past 6 years I have had the good fortune to be attended to by an excellent lady dentist who is both professional and friendly and who is particularly good with children. The lady on reception has worked there since before I first attended and she too has a extremely friendly and professional manner. Anyone who feels afraid of seeing a dentist should definately try this practice as they are unlikely to find anywhere else with such a reassuring approach
