I contacted Porchtown Recyclers and was given a price that was agreed to, at that time I was told over txt message to send my ID, title to the vehicle and the address for theTow truck. I complied I was told the next day or would be picked up and I agreed. Not one phone call or txt message was returned until the end of the day stating that the tow truck driver had been repeatedly calling me and I would not answer. I responded with my phone call log showing I have not received a phone call for 4 days on this phone number the same phone number he was texting me on so I know he had the correct number. after my response to his one and only message of the day I have not heard from him since. I let him know. I was going to every review platform to let people know how this business is run and how they treat perspective customers. I was hoping for an easy transaction like he made it seem it would be. Unfortunately that's not how this story ends. DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH THIS COMPANY! staff is incredibly rude. treated me terrible. They offer you different rates When calling within a matter of minutes & accused me of "playing games" when discussing rates. told me since I want to play "hardball" & not tell them what the last person offered me (i wanted to know what she would offer me) took the rate down $50. Then when I called back due to a disconnected line because of bad service 5 minutes later offered me $400. Was originally offered $500. when I originally called they ASKED me if I had an original or after market converter so I had a trusted mechanic come take a look & assured me it was original. When relaying to them it was original the response was "I don't care what your mechanic says if our driver says its after market you'll take what's offered or don't do buisness with us." Im not sure why they asked me if when I give them an answer & then tell me it doesn't matter what I say. Then why even ask me? I told them I feel like you're misunderstanding me. I said I'm "expecting" your driver to tell me it's original because I was guaranteed it was. I didn't tell them "& you better tell me the same thing." I said I was EXPEXTING the driver to say the same. the second person I spoke to was also upset when I told them I had another mechanic look at the vehicle then I was informed they no longer wanted to do business with me. I guess they wanted to tell me it's an after market Catylitic converter when it's original to give me less money & told me they don't care what I say.
