I had my car towed there because it was smoking. I was dealing with Mike from the service department. They had my car for a week and after they charged me 1500.00 for what they thought was the problem. When I got to the dealership, my car was still smoking and the engine light still on. MIke wasn't there and the other service managers had no clue. So I had to take my chance and drive 3 hours back to Virginia and take it somewhere we else. In April, I gave Porsche Conshohocken a $1,000 REFUNDABLE deposit to get in line to purchase a 911. Soon thereafter I purchased a different Porsche. Over the past 2 months, I have asked more than 6 times to get my deposit back. The company is so poorly run, after about my third request I was told they had no record of the deposit. I promptly sent a redacted copy of my Credit Card bill showing the payment. Weeks later, I am told that the business was sold and they are having issues. And in a totally tone deaf act, I get an email from the GM of Porsche Conshohocken saying they are now taking orders for new cars. I replied to the GM explaining his companies failure to honor the REFUNDABLE portion of my prior order and, in a spineless move, they did not even bother to respond. IMHO, this is a company that should be avoided, as if they do not honor minor promises, how will they honor big ones? read more

I purchased a used Audi Q5 from the dealership in the beginning of May 2021. It is currently mid-October and I have yet to receive the registration or title for the vehicle. In fact, a state-run Vin/plate check shows that the vehicle is still registered and owned by the dealership and that the license plate they gave me with car has never been issued. In essence, I have been driving an unregistered vehicle with a license plate that is not in the system. After more than a week and half of back and forth with the dealership the first week of September, they finally admitted that they never sent any of the paperwork to Harrisburg. Trying to get answers and resolution was like pulling teeth. I will admit that prior to the sale, they were very responsive and helpful. When the registration/title issues arose, I was given more of a shoulder shrug and a half-hearted apology. Not the type of response that I would have expected from a "PREMIER Porsche Dealer". Perhaps my experience would have been different if I purchased a new Porsche instead of a $40,000 used Audi. Unfortunately, I will never know - when I hand the Audi off to my wife next year and go shopping for a new Porsche, it will most definitely not be at this dealership. read more

After my lease had ended with BMW of The Main Line I decided on the Cayenne to fill the void in my garage. I called Porsche of Conshohocken and I have never felt like I was trying to sell a car more to myself then I did during this call. The dealer was so incredibly rude and in a hurry to get off the phone. I almost felt I was an inconvenience to him even though it was 10 am on a Monday (I know there no one in there). I had to remind myself when I hung up that I was the one buying a brand NEW car. I went in the next day because I was in the area and I thought that I would give the place the benefit of the doubt. Immediately when I walked in a man named Ed Kress with gray hair and glasses said hello in the most condescending manner. He wrote me off before even asking what I was there for. He happened to be the same salesman I spoke to the day before. I think I was in there for a total of 2 minutes before I left. I have just read the numerous negative reviews on this delaership's poor customer service and etiquette. I must say I concur. I had a friend who called the better business bureau on a dealership where she felt the salespeople were pompous and racist. This place may qualify for the exact same wake up call. Stay far far away. Run! Do not buy from this dealer. They are a bunch of slick thieves! I bought a 2006 CPO 911 Cab and when I picked it up they told me the noises, etc were nothing. I drove the car the 2+ hours back to Maryland and took it to the Porsche dealer here. There were 17 CPO violations that they had to fix! After a year and change of electrical problems I sold the car to carmax only to find out IT WAS IN AN ACCIDENT and the drivers door and front quarter were repaired and painted. After owning the car for 2 month I found out car was in accident. Took it to Thomson porsche for service and they confirmed it. Front collision included: painted bumper, new fender, painted hood and passenger door. Called my sales person and he confirmed it. After 2 weeks of discussions and with gm Keith took car back and left there. They declined to replace it. Lost 2 month of payments also lost about $2500 in start fees and they kept my 911s, which was a trade in... By the time it was over, 2012 cars came and price went up 300$ per months. So them offered same car, but only $300 more per months...Worst experience ever. Lost money and time...purchased new s550 amg next day. read more

Suffice to say, after that experience I will N E V E R be back for service even if my car breaks down in front of this dealership and I have to push my car in bare feet on gravel roads to another dealer for service. Took a ride out to look at a used Porsche 911 Carrera 4 (964) advertised both on autotrader as well as ebay. Upon arrival at the dealer was told that the car was actually located at "the warehouse" across the street. Across the street I went and saw the car parked out front as soon as I pulled up. Took a look around and as I walked in to the office area passed a sales associate that I had to stop to talk to which is not usually the case in any car dealer. I was referred by him to another associate that when I inquired about the car told me "it was sold." When I challenged him on this information (as the was and still is 2 weeks later actively listed on ebay as well as autotrader) he said "oh well thats what I was told I could be wrong." I then asked him to check as I had driven 40 minutes to see and drive it. He then responded with "well we don't take cars like that for a test drive. If you're ready to buy it we can talk but its not a car we just drive." I preceded to laugh at him and told him that if that is how he wishes to do business I will take my business elsewhere. The car was not sold. The sales associate simply did not want to be bothered by someone who he assumed was a tire-kicker. I have been actively searching for a clean 964 for 6 months now and based on this experience will continue to do so. This was easily the most insulting automotive experience I have ever had and will never be returning to this dealership. I purchased my first 911 yesterday. What an amazing experience! I felt like a kid at Christmas and partially it was because of how the dealership treated me. This is my third Porsche purchase from Conshohocken. Eric Exley has become family to us and has been my point man on all my purchases. He is always very courteous, honest, and has a great deal of integrity when it comes to helping us find our next vehicles. He does not promise things he cannot deliver. I love the honesty and I never feel surprised when it's time to sign papers to get my car. The financial manager, Robert Palidora was great at explaining the agreement and some extra options to us. He was honest and open about what maintenance and other packages would best suit (and not suit) our needs. I don't understand the negative reviews about "zero money down" and I guess it's partially due to cheesy commercials and bad marketing from other dealerships that try to make you feel like you're getting something for nothing. Porsche has established bank fees, states require registration fees and this is nothing out of the ordinary for every vehicle purchase or lease. I leased my vehicle yesterday with no money down, but this means that I didn't provide money for a cap cost reduction. I still had to pay for my first month, a bank fee and some fees to the state. But I knew this months ago when I negotiated the deal and ordered my car. No matter what dealership you're dealing with, you need to be a smart consumer on your own prior to leasing or purchasing a vehicle. We are not from PA, I drove because the price seemed "right". I wish I would have stayed home and bought one from our local dealer for more money. Salesman lied about the trade in value we would expect, gave me a bottom line and "if it is what you say we will value based on condition". Wrong. We got hosed. Sale went "ok" if sitting and waiting in the service department waiting area packed in like people waiting for the bus is considered "ok" for a person ready to spend this kind of money on a vehicle? Asked at the salesman before heading home about the Sirus XM trial period and it wasn't active for our long drive home, he indicated the certified pre owned do not come with it. Wrong again Sirius confirmed they always do. Emailed after sale several times about warranty info, waited several days for reply, never to get a full answer. I even inquired about another car I was interested in purchasing on the lot days after returning home, no reply! Best yet, they "take care of the license plates". Wrong again, my temp tags expired and I still don't have the plates months later. Waste of a drive, waste of time dealing with this dealership. I wish I would have spent more hard earned money elsewhere. It is an unfortunate representative of the Porsche brand and this is our first Porsche. I can't think of a more disappointing purchase experience even with shoes. It makes me want to open a dealership of my own and sell premium service that will keep people driving in. I purchased a used Porsche from this dealer. I had been looking for a very specific car for some time when I saw exactly what I wanted listed for sale at this dealer. I telephoned right away and was told another buyer had just put down a deposit and it was sold. I asked the sales person if they could take my number and call me if the deal fell through for any reason, and they said absolutely. I was surprised to see almost 4 weeks later that the car was again listed for sale. I called immediately and found out the car did not sell, as I had been told, and it had been placed back on the market approximately one week after I had been told it was sold. Despite the car being back on the open market for several weeks, no one called me to say it was available for sale. I just got lucky and saw it on the Internet. I put down a deposit and arranged to go see the car in person. It required me to drive three hours. I called and spoke directly to the sales person the morning of our appointment to advise that I was on my way to see the car. When I arrived three hours later the sales person had to find the car. He finally located it parked in the back, completely covered in pollen (a black car covered in yellow/green pollen), with a dead battery. They got the car jump started, but couldn't clean it up as that required them to take the car offsite. A buyer drives three hours to see a used car selling for over $100k, and it is presented to him filthy dirty and with a dead battery? This is not the Porsche experience that I am accustomed to seeing. Sadly, the purchase process continued downhill from that point. It was the car I wanted, so I stuck it out and bought it. The car is magnificent, and I am happy to own it, but this dealership experience was the worst in my life. Without going into full detail (that would require several pages), suffice it to say the car was misrepresented in the ad, the sales person was new and did not know what he was doing, and the finance manager was extremely adversarial. In fairness, the name of the finance manager I dealt with is not listed here, so I assume he left or was fired. If his name was here I would rate him a zero. In my opinion, he was the worst dealership finance guy I ever have dealt with in my lifetime. He told me the financing I had arranged would not work (it did), he said I could not title it the way I wanted (and that worked fine as well), and he actually lied to his own boss by saying he spoke directly to my bank and the financing was not complete, when in fact it was complete and he had never even called them. The only positive part of the entire experience (other than the car itself) was the couple of times Rob Gorman got involved. Although, I felt more could have been done, and should have been done to make a new customer happy during the purchase of a very expensive car, Rob made reasonable decisions and took the basic action necessary to get the deal completed. He did not do enough in my opinion, but he did enough to get the deal done and I rated him accordingly. Under different circumstances I think Rob may have been better. The sales person was new, and so I am not going to rate or identify him. He should have received better support from those around him, and I will not ding him individually. The finance manager was terrible, and his name does not appear for me to rate a zero. If not for the fact this was the exact car I had been looking to purchase, I would have walked away from these people and never bought anything from them. I will never go back. read more

Worst car "buying" experience ever. Placed an order for Porsche Macan S at porsche of conshohocken dealership in mid September 2014. Put $1000 deposit down. They promised to deliver the car in February 2015. I called them in January and they told me they have an allocation and the car will be delivered some time in March. When I called them again in March they told me they are all sold out and returned my deposit $1000 plus $100 "compensation". Well, I think they sold the car to someone else...
