Her office is clean, private, and well-kept, but also very homey-feeling. She pays attention to detail, from music choice, essential oil selection, and the comfort of the sheets and massage table. I went immediately to my chiropractor down the street to see if he could fix it. I ended up getting an MRI on my back. I had herniated the disc and had a couple of bulged discs. I went to a back surgeon that wanted to operate on my back, with no guarantees that it would be fixed. I knew I didn't want surgery or cortisone shots. I've heard too many bad things about them. I told my chiropractor what was going on and he thought that maybe he could help me, but it would take a very long time. In the meantime, Marty Turner owner of the Sacred Tree Massage and Reiki in Newburyport, who I had briefly met through some mutual friends, heard what happened and reached out to me. I knew nothing about massage therapy but was willing to try. Between my chiropractor and Marty Turner, I was pretty much back to normal in 6 months. I own a horse farm, so I'm very active mucking stalls, carrying 5-gallon jugs of water and moving 40 lbs. of hay daily. In the fall I'm raking up about 30 yrds of leaves. I also love to hike and ride in the side x side ATVs. I'm now 65 and still doing all of these things and more. I do go regularly once a month for a 1/2 hr massage to loosen up the muscles. I tried in the beginning to stop going monthly, but found out quickly that I needed to go. If Marty was able to fix my back with the help of the chiropractor, then I suggest that people give him a chance. He is very kind, honest, professional and makes you feel at ease. He will listen intently as to what's going on and will do his best to resolve the issues. Keep in mind, things don't always get fixed with just one visit. It could take several for the muscles to relax and release.

I have had many massages at various spas and have never been told this before. After doing some quick googling, the weight limit of most tables appears to be 600-800 lbs. I do not exceed this weight (luckily) so I find this odd. It was later in the day so I am not sure if this concern was genuine or done in an attempt to speed things along or to avoid having to clean the massage room. I would've preferred to flat out be denied service. The waiting room I was massaged in had no music, there was a loud clock ticking noise, it was very bright, and another person was in the room while the massage took place. Very difficult to relax and I was disappointed. I've been here in the past and received better treatment and service. Scheduling is also strange. I do not believe they are on massagebook anymore and the website does not show prices or appointment availability. They want you to call/text the owner directly to schedule. I will not be back.

I am 34 weeks pregnant and have been suffering with significant discomfort related to SPD. I am a paramedic and working has become extremely uncomfortable. My symptoms began around 28 weeks and I contacted my insurance who told me I was covered for chiropractic care and my copayment would be $40. This was confirmed by Jennah's staff at my first visit. I was asked to sign a form that reception explained contained a list of potential extra add ons that may be recommended for treatment that would not be covered by insurance. These included items like massage but I was told I had the option of declining anything insurance did not cover. My initial consult lasted about an hour and I was then scheduled for my second appointment several weeks later. Yesterday I woke up and was genuinely excited to receive chiropractic care as the pain had been worsening and even completely daily tasks were causing significant pain. When I arrived I was taken back to an office where Jennah explained their findings and began to discuss a treatment plan. She then began to talk about "financing options" and I was told I could choose between 24 and 32 sessions but the cost was going to be around $700 per month. I was confused as I was told my insurance covered chiropractor care. Jennah told me that insurance only covered adjustments and exams and not the extras that she was recommending including fascia work, stretching, and a strengthening routine. I asked if we could start with just adjustments and see if that improved my symptoms to which she refused and said that she would not treat me if I did not agree to the entire care plan and commit to spending over $2000. I left the office in tears. I have been suffering in pain for over a month waiting to begin treatment. Over the course of that month I could have found another practice that actually cared about their patients and worked within their insurance policy to make care accessible. Jennah initially comes off as very warm and caring but her entire demeanor changed when she realized I was not in a position to commit to spending thousands of dollars. I am extremely disappointed in Jennah and her practice. It is very apparent that Jennah only cares and wants to help if you have thousands of dollars of disposable income to spend at her office. Otherwise she will waste your time and string you along. Please learn from my experience and seek care elsewhere.
