They recently installed a brand new carpet that takes has a print on it like a gravel road that you can follow through the section. They even cut out walk-through book shelves so that the books interact with the carpet. Oh and don't forget the puppet section - put on a show with all their fun and lively puppets! They also have a pet fat tailed leopard gecko that you can ask to hold. It is 10 years old and is as sweet as can be. For the library it self they have a large variety of every type of book you may want, including audio books as well. Since it is also part of the Cleveland Public Library, if you don't see the one you are looking for, they can bring it in from another library for you. I highly recommend this library to everyone and their families. Not a huge reader? Just go and check out the garden area and the history of the building!

My only suggestion would be to put the stool back closer to the new releases. I have health issues that make it difficult to stand for long and miss that seat. Direct quote. There were crumbs on the ground and table. ***Clutching my pearls*** Mind you, we cleaned up everything we brought with us, we put every table and chair exactly where it was when we first entered the space. We wiped down the tables with what little cleaning supplies we had. We were not provided with a vacuum or even wipes, so I'm not sure how we could have cleaned crumbs from the floor. Rob then proceeded to say that he was charging a $25 cleaning fee that would need to be paid prior our next training. I used to use this library all the time, and I will never step foot into this shithole ever again due to the way that myself and my organization were treated by Rob Liste. Fuck this library.

That's beyond the scope of this review, though. I stopped into the library to see the opening of the exhibit commemorating the tenth anniversary of the Cavs' NBA Championship. I left after a four hour visit that included: -an escape room with a magnet as the prize -a scavenger hunt with a free t-shirt at the end -seeing the exhibit (which also included the Calder cup!) -meeting two artists who did artwork for the exhibit and getting autographed posters from one -sending unlimited free postcards of the library, the exhibit, and Cleveland -multiple coloring sessions and word searches -a free lunch from a taco truck (there was also cheesesteak and egg roll options) -watching people make me a button, tote bag, key chain, sticker, and coasters -making a stress ball -decorating a cookie and also getting a cupcake to bring home -meeting moondog -seeing tons of stuff, including a chess set of salt and pepper shakers, menus from the original stouffers, and the Superman pajamas I had as a kid in the library's regular exhibits I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Inspired, creative, fun displays; beautiful new building; clean bathrooms; plenty of computers…read more Some staff are aloof and hesitant when asked questions - almost unapproachable - I get the sense that maybe they have to deal with a lot of homeless and/or mentally ill patrons so they have to put up a strong emotional wall, so to speak. Maybe it's just a matter of letting them get to know that you're sane, and don't mean any harm, over time. I wish they had more options for fun classes and events! It's probably just slow because of covid.
