God, I love libraries. You know how some women walk into shoe stores and can't control themselves…read morewith shoes? I'm that way with books. This summer, there's been soooo many titles I've wanted to read. I find myself walking out of this branch with 4-6 books at every visit. I frequent various Cuyahoga County Public Library branches often. When it comes to Solon, I particularly love how quick their request-a-book is. In case you didn't know, you can log directly onto their website and put a hold on a book. If they don't have it, you can still request it from a different branch and have it sent to Solon. Boom, they'll email you when its ready, and you can pop in and pick it up from a shelf, where it will wait with your name on it. Between retrieval and self-check out, you only have to spend 2 minutes weaving through all the children (thank god). Towards the front of the library, they have a well-stocked selection of fiction titles ranging from drama, to biography, to chick lit, to mystery. They're also great about adding little stickers that say "New in June" and labeling the release of recent popular titles. I'm a frequent GoodReads user and Amazon browser, and 8 times out of 10, I can usually find what I'm looking for on these shelves. When was the last time you read something great? Love the play away books and they have a terrific selection that just gets better every time we visit. This library is always busy but still quiet. The other patrons are respectful and the staff is friendly. Love it here and always look forward to visiting. Only two issues, they are not open friday nights (so you can't pick up some last minute movies to watch that night) and people in this parking lot are terrible, terribly drivers (just park way out on the fringes and you'll be fine).

It's not a place to study if that's what you're looking for. Even the adults walk in using their outside voices, people are on their phones etc. Terrible experience and wouldn't recommend if you're needing somewhere to study. Like I said, I knew they had a kids "SECTION" and i know kids are rowdy but they don't stay their in their section and the parents act like it's an amusement park. They run and roam, and scream throughout. -100/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you having your kids need to get their screams out. Then this circus is the place to be.

They are gentle with my littles and inquire with sincere interest in what they are doing should we happen to cross paths. They are always doing work and keeping the integrity of the library. The amount of resources available are astonishing and when I came in to ask for how to utilize the online resources I was asked if I could be assisted at another counter while waiting in line, and when I was being silly and hadn't even thought to look for myself on the website which has full detailed instructions, the librarian was sincere and very helpful. It is evident they enjoy their job and excel at making this the best kept little secret that it is. We frequent often and plan to continue to do so!

Huge library! We…read moregave the kids section a visit. It is bigger than most libraries that we visit. They have tons of books and low shelves for the younger section. A great play area with train table, kitchen area, light table and other interactive toys for kids. There are computers for kid use. Along with other play are spread through the library. Near the circulation desk in the childrens section They have a list of all their programs which was diverse and for many ages. There is a pet Guinea pig. Plus some sort of interactive and themed area. Like writing a letter to Santa with reindeer food. My kids had a great time and can't wait to come back!

Wow! What a nice library! I stopped by to get my kids and I library cards and to find a couple…read morebooks for their summer reading. The desk clerk was friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, they didn't have either books we were looking for, but we were able to reserve the books. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet, just as you would expect in a library. There were several rooms available for reservation. The computer lab had many computers as well as active users. This will be our go to library due to its proximity to our home.

I would like to check out the book sale in the future but usually I don't find anything of super interest. A nice chill place to read and do computer work. I can still order anything I want online from the Cuyahoga system or Ohio Link, and they'll have it waiting for me at the front to come in and pick up. I love the new self check out system. They have a good rotation of programs and speakers for children and adults. I love the convenience of having it attached to the rec center!
