What troubled me most was not simply the complaint itself, but how management handled it. The manager appeared to accept the other party's claims without first seeking my perspective or conducting a neutral review. I was not given a fair opportunity to share my side of the situation. When I attempted to file my own complaint regarding feeling harassed, my concerns were dismissed, and the other individuals were defended. The handling of this situation felt one-sided and lacked the professionalism, neutrality, and leadership I would expect from management. As a paying member, I believe every individual deserves to feel respected, heard, and treated equally -- especially when serious concerns are raised. Situations involving potential bias require careful, impartial review. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope Chuze Fitness leadership takes member concerns like this seriously and ensures managers are trained to handle conflicts objectively and fairly. I would welcome the opportunity for this matter to be reviewed at a higher level so that all members can feel safe and respected in the gym environment.

My name is Jeffrey S. Bowerman, and I have been a dedicated member of your gym, frequently working out with my wife, Debbie Bowerman. The incident leading to this ban occurred in February 2026 and involved a staff member named Cindy. At the time, I was dealing with significant personal and health challenges, including a broken foot and multiple hospitalizations, as well as serious illnesses affecting my brothers. During an interaction regarding the recovery and tanning beds, there was a misunderstanding about my membership level and the use of the mobile app. While I admit I became frustrated, I immediately apologized to Cindy and explained the personal stress I was under. Unfortunately, when I asked to speak with Chris, he upheld the decision to revoke my membership across all locations without, to my knowledge, reviewing any video footage of the interaction. My wife and I valued our time at Chuze Fitness, as it was a vital part of our routine and wellbeing. Being restricted to the local recreation center has been a poor substitute for the facilities and community at your gym. Racks, weights, treadmill - the whole gang's here, clocking in like Dunder Mifflin employees. The trainers, or our fitness Jim and Pam, guide you through workouts. They throw in a "Good job, champ!" or a "One more rep, superstar!" It's as if Michael Scott traded his Dundie Awards for a fitness certification. The "Altitude and HITT" class is our Dundies night. We leave feeling cooler than a Schrute beet, flexing muscles like we're auditioning for the regional paper salesman calendar. The ambiance, well, it's no Dunder Mifflin, but it's something. I do personal training sessions and boot camp so am in this gym 3-4 times per week. The workouts are always different and engaging; and they keep my coming back for more. I appreciate the size of this gym, the cleanliness and the fact that the staff all help me with addressing areas I want to focus my attention on- including helping me work through injuries when I have them. I wouldn't work out anywhere else.
