This is an incredible, unspoiled beach at one of Wales most remote resorts. The clientele comprised mostly visitors camping nearby.
I arrived early. Having spent a happy night in a wooden pod the night before, but neglecting to bring no supplies I was seriously overdue some coffee. I'd been forced to dine on what was left of my day-rations, and frankly a flapjack and canned-beer supper does create a healthy appetite at breakfast.
The café: functional with mostly outdoor seating; my son insists I add an extra star if ketchup is 'free-flowing, so technically a 6*.
The breakfast: I went for the Whistling Sands Big Breakfast, it blew me away... sublime :)
The coffee: delicious and free refill too.
Only a couple of downsides- No loo, you have to return to the NT car park for that. No wifi and obviously no phone signal. So that's back to 5* :)
Would suit walkers, you can visit a disused jasper mine. No wonder you never meet anyone called Jasper any more. read more
