We ordered the chicken, mafongo, plaintains, and the roasted pork. Everything was pulled off the spit, cut with a machete and served fresh. The chicken and pork was moist, tender and delicious. Some of the best chicken I've ever had. The mafongo and plaintains were equally good. Best of all it was dirt cheap. All in all, an excellent introduction to authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. It can be a little intimidating because it has a bit of a "locals only" feel. The food is worth a little initial discomfort and you'll get over it very quickly once you see how friendly everyone is.
