Wow! This place is amazing! The food, service and the rooftop views are incredible! The restraints is really nice, very clean and contemporary. For starters we had some chorizo in wine sauce served with toasted bread. The taste and flavor was amazing, I would literally go back just for this. For my entree I had the churrasco served in a caramelized onion sauce, served with tostones. My girlfriend had the bacalao which she totally loved. On top of the great food the restaurant has the most amazing view of the City of Ponce. We took great landscape photos of the Plaza, Parque de Bombas, the Church and more. Terrible experience after coming here on a hyped up recommendation. Came in today and fiirst thing you notice is that this place is run down! The place was empty and we were seated outside during insanely hot weather. We asked to move inside and we were seated in a tucked away elevated table for 6 that was dirty, chairs rickety, and a window so dirty it obscured the little view it provided. I asked to be reseated again and they did so but refused to give us a table with a VISTA despite it being empty. I already knew where this whole lackluster experience was going so I refused to order food and I'm glad I did. My party ordered food and the stuffed chicken and salmon were dry. My wife let the waitress know and she replied " OH. Thank you for letting me know" There was no follow up or attempt to make it a better experience. The drinks were solid. If you're going to charge a premium for a restaurant experience then the least you can do is to make it a premium experience. Also, if you're going to have a place called "VISTAS" then you should probably offer people a VISTA. Needless to say I would never go back or recommend. read more

We were looking for a good restaurant with options for all. This was a great find. The reviews I read were 100% right! I was nervous, because they were having the three kings celebration around the corner. I thought we wouldn't get a table. It was still early though, so we got seated right away inside. Too hot outside! They took our drink order which came quickly. We ordered the crab croquettes and they were delicious! I had the beef tenderloin and it was fantastic. My daughter had the vista pasta and loved it. My hubby the flank steak. Everything was perfect! The price was in line with the quality of food. Definitely recommend! read more

We were in Ponce for a day and decided to come here for dinner and sunset. It was a Tuesday and they were having all day happy hour, $5 margaritas. The margaritas were very tasty but not very strong. The views from this rooftop are amazing and if you can come for sunset you won't regret it. We had the ceviche and chicken mofongo in garlic sauce. Both dishes were amazing and I'm still thinking about that mofongo. If I'm ever back in Ponce this for sure will be one of my stops. read more

Stopped in for dinner after a long day of road tripping. The view was beautiful and in turn the ambiance was tranquil. Service was sub-par, nothing spectacular. I ordered the SALMON GLASEADO and the CROQUETAS JUEYE. The salmon was slightly overcooked, but the flavor was amazing. A tad sweet from the glaze and it was nice paired with the fingerling potatoes. The croquettes were very tasty we wanted to order more, but we knew we wouldn't be able to finish it. We did have a vegetarian in our group who ordered a veggie pasta - do not recommend. We always take new visitors to Ponce here for dinner. They have vegetarian options for us and lots of traditional PR foods and also standards like pasta and steaks. This visit our waiter was particular helpful and very engaging. The views of the city are amazing. Drinks at happy hour were delicious and well priced. Recommend a visit. read more

The view at Vistas is outstanding! Amazing vantage point that looks around all sides of Ponce. Spectacular at sunset in particular. Make sure you request an outdoor table and enjoy the incredible ambiance. The drinks are Vistas are quite good. The food was better than average but does not hold up to the other elements or to its price point. I found the octopus to be somewhat hard and chewy. The salmon was overcooked, a bit dry, and covered in an excessive amount of honey. The chicken was also dry and overcooked, but accompanied by a good amount of a rich pan sauce. Service was very nice. Drinks refilled promptly. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back next time I am in Ponce. read more

Didn't get to try the food but this rating is for the ambiance-or better yet lack of it. So we get to the top of this somewhat vacant narrow building; we asked the server (to be honest I think she was the owner) to be seated on the second level of the restaurant , but we were told no because it's not open when business is slow. Now keep in mind the name of the restaurant is " Vistas" which translates to "Views" in Spanish, the very reason why people are drawn to dine here. Instead, she offered us a view featuring a run down building's rooftop. We said no thank you and walked out. We were seated outdoors and ordered a trifongo with shrimp, cod with sweet plantains, and mahi mahi with fried plantains. Originally wanted the lamb, but they were out. There was also about a 30 minute wait before receiving our food. The trifongo had good flavor and wasn't overly greasy. The cod was a bit too salty and the mahi mahi was fairly dry. Overall, still 3 good dishes. Despite the food not being completely spot on, Vistas still deserves 5 stars because of the wonderful service and classy rooftop ambiance. read more

Went to Vistas on Sunday at 6pm. It was ... OK. PRO: Fast, friendly service by polite, well-uniformed staff. The view was pretty excellent, especially to the west. They have cool private tables on the outside, also with view to the east. CON: Food was so-so, the french fries were limp and oily, suggesting low cooking temp. The ceviche appetizer was missing the shrimp, but OK, more fish, that's fine. The churrasco stuffed mofongo had meat that tasted a bit past prime, kind of sour, ugh. The restaurant was clean, but there are some maintenance items that are needed, such as the outdoor bar, kind of falling apart and other such deterioration. read more

You must stop by in the area if you are looking for delicious Puerto Rican food with one million dollar view from their rooftop. I'm talking about the Parque La BombWe started with sweet mofongitos and tripletas empanadas for appetizers and they taste amazing! It's my first time trying sweet plantain with savory filling. The place was great and super safe during COVID, everyone was spread out, wearing masks and they have an outdoor section as well. Inside ambiance was classy but not stuffy. Food was amazing! We visited Vistas twice during our trip to Ponce mainly for the view. The first night we ordered appetizers, which were very good and had happy hour margaritas which were also very tasty. They offered a variety of flavors. Our apps and drinks came very fast. Our main entrees however took forever, almost an hour after we ordered. The food was good once it arrived but we waited so long we thought about paying for the apps/drinks and leaving when it finally arrived. We decided to go back the next night because the view from the deck is spectacular! It really should not be missed at sunset! My fiancee and I stopped in at Vistas twice. It's a little hard to find, as its on the top level of a rather nondescript building, but the view from the outside deck is well, well worth it! The first time, our server, Tatiana, was beyond amazing. The food was fantastic, and she was incredibly friendly, without being "there" too much, and helpful. We both had fish dishes, and I highly recommend the salmon. Our experience was definitely five stars, and if we hadn't decided to come back, I'd be leaving a 5-Star Review. Unfortunately, we went back on Friday, and the service was just... off. Our first waiter -- and, yes, the word 'first' should be a red flag -- stopped by and took our drink orders. Then, another waiter came by, delivered the drinks, and took our appetizer order, which came out fairly quickly. So far, other than the random change in waiters, nothing was off. We finished the appetizers before anyone came by to take our entree order. This was a third waitress. We asked for a minute to decide. We then sat for roughly twenty five minutes before anyone came back. The staff were all around, on their phones, chatting with one another, listening to the musician, they just weren't at the tables.
