Food is always fabulous! I ordered off of the brunch menu as usual, and had to put Cristian through some changes on his first day!!! My eggs Benedict didn't have traditional hollandaise sauce, and didn't look like what I thought I ordered. He handled it like a seasoned pro! What a professional, polite service champ! Although improperly listed under burgers, the pulled pork sandwich was the best pulled pork that I have ever had. Order it with the most perfect onion rings. I had been eyeing this place on Yelp, and when we were in the area I couldn't pass up the opportunity. We used the street parking, which is metered, and there was plenty. We ordered a pizza & sandwich. Nothing authentic or Puerto Rican. It was still yummy nonetheless. Service was VERY quick. The pizza was out in no time! We had no reservations and there was no wait. First, I have to say this place feels quiet magical. We visited on a Monday night and it was packed and I can see why. The staff was very attentive and the tapas were delicious. The alcapurrias jibaras were so delicious we ordered it twice. We also ordered the croquetas de queso and masitas de pescado with tostones de pana. The overall experience was so good that we returned the next day for lunch. The churrasco was much larger than I'd expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I came here in my recent trip to puerto rico and heard that mayaguez had alot of great food spots so I came across this place by chance and im glad I did. I'll say this now... BEST NACHOS IVE EVER HAD. I was in love with the cleanliness and overall down to earth nature of the staff. They speak English and Spanish, plus I became so comfortable with them from the moment I sat in my chair. My party members both had burgers, one had a classic burger which was delicious and the second burger was called the jibaro burger which was hands down amazing and the fries were fire too. If your a tourist I'd suggest to check them out especially if there's a date night. The vibe of the inside and outside scenery was tropical and uplifting especially with the amazing music that wasn't too loud playing in the background. read more

Food is delicious but left us wanting traditional Puerto Rican fare on the regular menu at a place called Jibarita. Bring us more arroz con habichuelas, the special menu that had it was delicious! Still, I highly recommend. We were never there past ten when the young people party and dance but felt safe and welcome even after dark. I don't have enough space to explain what a wonderful experience I had here with my husband and later on with my family. Friday night they had live music and a wonderful ambience. Drinks were great too, LOVED the mojitos. The next day I went with my family, the bien e was just as beautiful. This place gives you Old San Juan vibes. Perfect place for "after-pandemic" gatherings. We arrived a little late in time, although the restaurant was able to give our meals for to-go and we ate them back at the hotel that we were staying. My meal was the hamburger by the name of "El Huevón", which is your typical red meat patty along with an egg.
