Hello, my name is Taron Butler I have been working with the firm for several months now. In the beginning when I would contact the firm I would get a quick response but now it seems like they have been dragging their feet. I have provided them with all the information they requested from me in the beginning and when I follow up with them they still have gotten no where with my case or at least it seems that way. Highly disappointed with the services (lack there of) I received. I feel the communication was very limited to non-existent. I had to reach out multiple times for any update, and it felt very clear that we were not a priority. A simple phone call to explain the process, strategy, and what to expect would have been very helpful. When I initially reached out for representation, I provided very detailed information including images, invoices, witnesses, and a police report (August). February, I had a representative asking me for the names of my witnesses (which I had already provided along with contact information) AFTER I rejected an offer, they insisted I take from the other party. Overall I feel like we were treated with little care, and just as a participant in a system they've put together to extract what they can from people's situation. I wouldn't be surprised if they spent more time preparing my invoice, than reviewing the details of my case. I truly feel I would have been better off filing with the court and representing myself. It's been 2 weeks since my case closed (according to court website), and I have yet to hear anything. I've called several times and left messages. read more

Alex handeled my son's WC case. It took about a year but it wasn't a pleasant time. It was a hassle getting Alex to return a call or text and when he did he always called me by the wrong name. Also there were times throughout the case that he didn't know what's going on or forgot about doctor appointments. When the case was finally settled it still was a hassle for my son to get his check. Hopefully the others that take on cases here are more knowledgable and pleasant. read more

If i could 0 stars I would. What an absolute disgrace. They didn't talk to me 95% of the time i used them and when they did they were rude and condescending. They talk to you like absolute trash on the phone in ways they would never talk to someone in real life. I started my case in february of 24, essentially heard very little until it was time for my hearing in november and then i heard nothing for months. I got a call saying the case went well but when i asked for physical proof I got radio silence for months until they wanted me to pay my final balance. Finally after complaining that this felt like malpractice I got a halfsheet of documentation that said the case was dismissed with a plea bargain. To this day i don't have the context of what that plea is, or any additional information on the case but the little i did receive I got 6 months after my case was resolved. Finally collections threatened to sell my debt to another firm and then proceeded to do so even though they put in writing that I had 5 days(i got 24 hours). Apparently the "CFO" got it rescinded but collections claims they never sent it at all and when i asked questions about what actually happened he said i was annoying him and hung up the phone in my face. But not before he threatened me to cancel my payment arrangement for calling him. My trial attorney threatened to hang up on me before that for asking questions. The ends didn't justify the means and I hope you don't feel tough because you hang up on clients. Awful way to treat anyone but especially a disabled vet read more

I had simran rahi as attorney, he was late on trial, and we met first time on trial date. We never talked. I talked to his assistant, I don't even know it is even legal? Trial went into the opposite direction of my will. It seems he doesn't even aware of what happened. And he didn't prepare for dependent interpreter so actually by totally his mistake the trial was cancelled. And then next trial he made more mess than it could be. He basically made client in bad position, how do I know? I talked to other lawyer and they said this is the non sense case. Finally this attorney never had discussions not even once before the trial. We never met. This never listened to his client and made case go wrong direction. Please don't hire attorneys who never call, talk, late, unprepared so the trial cancelled. read more

I did not feel that the attorney, Mr. Simran Rahi, assigned to my case negotiated on my behalf. One offer was made and I was told to accept it. The only positive things I have to say are aimed at the paralegal and other administrative support personnel who worked with me on my case. They were prompt and knowledgeable, always returning my emails and calls. I will seek other counsel in the future, should the need arise, who will at least try to negotiate in my best interest. I would give them zero stars if I could. The immigration lawyer I spoke with was annoyed, condescending, and abrasive the whole time during the free consultation. He didn't even try to hide his scoffs. I know that what I was asking may have been out of his realm of knowledge but MY GOD are their nicer ways to explain that to someone. Initially I would say great service, because my cousin referred them and I personally sat with Mr. Shure, he was great. However this last dealing with them has been horrible, the customer service is lacking. Portner and Shure don't be fooled by all the fabrication that, they post on line. There Paralegal Rachael Dawes lied to my wife and I for over 2 two months. She tried to destroy the relationship between my wife's Neurologist , by promising that Portner & Shure had Doctors that would treat my wife. My wife was smart enough not to stop treating with her original Doctor . Rachael Dawes was lying all the while and had no Doctor. She was trying to get my wife a cheap Doctor .Portner and Shure's Rachel Dawes could not provide what she promised, my wife never spoke with an attorney from Portner & Shure . I contacted the Manager of Portner and Shure never got a response from them. I have attached supporting documents. She is a Rouge Law Clerk/Paralegal, of Portner & Shure. I was told my therapist that this office referred me to should have to me and my daughter our case was denied after almost a week if thinking we were being represented by this firm. Horrible horrible horrible! They may be a big enough law firm but they are a horrible one! They don't communicate at all...you will never know or be able to talk to the lawyer on your case... most days you will only get the assistant because even the paralegal is too busy or unconcerned to bother with you. You will never know what is going on with your case and they don't believe in going to court but rather making small deals with insurance companies which results in you receiving very little money after all the doctor bills, therapy and lawyer fees. They don't care about your pain and suffering because you are just another number.. there are loads of better Law firms out there.. even smaller ones that do a better job and are much more personal.. I wouldn't suggest this law firm to my enemy or maybe I would to watch them completely get screwed. read more

I find it astonishing how the paralegal I was assigned couldn't even take a minute of her time to add me into their records... I didn't point any fingers in my review and I don't want to, but now it's certain that whoever is looking for a lawyer should avoid Portner & Shure at all costs and especially avoid their paralegal named Norma Guevera. Norma's the paralegal who wouldn't lift a finger to help me with my case and by the sound of some other reviewers, she wasn't the only one. This firm is the absolute WORST! They will not return phone calls. Jonathan Portner, is never there and "will call you back, tomorrow." It's been since October and he STILL has not called me back. If your case is not worth MILLIONS, you will be treated like a 2 dollar shirt, on the K-Mart clearance rack. I heard great things about this law firm and was referred to them by a friend, nonetheless, when I decided to retain them, from that point on, it was disappointments, never did the attorney call me to see how I was doing nor did the legal assistant, at times, when I would call the legal assistant, I had to leave several messages for her to call me back. The only time, I did receive a call from the legal assistant is when I sent an e-mail to the attorney informing him of such lack of communication that they had. Not once did their office call my doctor's office to see how my treatment was going or anything. My insurance company didn't even know after three to four weeks that I was even being represented by them. I would not use them again nor would I recommend them to anyone. read more
