    mexican food

My first time here today. Seen some stories on IG about this place that looked pretty amazing. So I thought I'd give it a try and sure am glad I did. The group I was with sampled several dishes and every single one of them was a hit!! Not sure if it is, but it sure gave off a family ran restaurant. The entire team did a phenomenal job taking care of everyone in here. The atmosphere was set with some wonderful Mexican music videos played at the right volume. The total experience was a hit for all in our group. What makes this experience even extra special, they're located in my home city. I will be back for sure. My only regret, not having taken pictures of all dishes.

Did know Brampton has such an awesome, amazing, awe-inspiring Mexican food. I always drive to TO downtown whenever I crave for Mexican food. But due to covid I chose to visit the restaurant for the take out. And I was so proud of myself to have made that choice. Not only they have a lot of finger licking vegetarian choices, the owner is very humble. So due to some communication gap, they made two different flavours enchiladas for me. When I mentioned it, with out any arguments the lady gave took off something 50% price of the dish ( like 50-50 for both of us) There were complimentary chips inside the box. The chaska was an huge and awesome appetizer. Their churros were delicious too. I was so so impressed with the quality, quantity and taste of the food. Totally my new favourite!

The food was good service was kind of slow Drinks were not tasty. The mojito was watery. They first cocktail on the menu with grapefruit and tequila just tasted sour like lime. The cheese fondue wasn't bad I would say it tasted like what its supposed too but nothing memorable. The pepperand corn dip was a winner very delicious would order again. We order 3 different tacos to share and only one of them came with rice, we didn't want rice but we thought that was wierd. Tried the shrimp, chicken Chipotle and spicy pork. My favorite was the shrimp comes with 3 jumbo shrimps per taco. My least fav was the chicken Chipotle (but I usually don't care for shredded chicken)

6 adults went to this restaurant last week. The food was very very bland. The Margarita tasted like a Tablespoon of salt fell inside it. The Nacho plate was huge but it was just shredded chicken all over the top with a layer of lettuce underneath and "some" nacho chips on the bottom; blah. The enchiladas were horrible. IF you must go there order the tacos; it was the one dish in the group of six that wasn't horrible. When the two of us got our $100.00 bill ( only 2 drinks) the machine didn't prompt us to tip. The waitress said " if you write a good Google review I will get a tip." Is that even legal? Don't servers make less than minimum wage because tips are a part of the salary??? We will not be returning.

Visited with my hubby's fam and we had a great time at Pos Bueno. It ended up being super busy as the night went on (they even had to turn peeps away!) so I was very glad we made a reso in advance. Our servers were sweet although a bit forgetful on checking in. We ordered a ton of dishes to share and the food was delicious. The salsas were super flavourful and the cactus tacos were really tasty. We also ordered the churros and the tres leches cake to share at the table. The churros were my fave - so good! Apparently they have live music during the weekends but when we visited they didn't have any performances. Would for sure return again someday!

So far, so good! Pos Bueno just opened up a few weeks ago after a long process of permits and other issues. After La Catrina closed a block away, Brampton can at least claim again to have at least one authentic Mexican restaurant. I hadn't been before, and thought I would quickly get some takeout as I was on my way back to the office. I was told by staff that they don't do takeout as they believe it would take way from the taste and isn't the type of food meant for takeout. I think it's great that they take a principled stance, but I just hope it doesn't backfire on them in the current climate of people being rushed or the myriad of delivery services. Since I had already parked the car some distance away, I said that I could stay but would need a dish that could be prepared relatively quickly. I went with the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. The place is very nicely decorated in traditional Mexican decor. It was interesting and fun that they had a couple screens playing old-school Mexican westerns as it added to the atmosphere. Some may possibly find it a bit overwhelming. The food did arrive quickly, and the food was wonderful. A nice side of soft, fresh seasoned rice. I loved the crunch of the fried tortillas, but the star was undoubtedly the mole sauce which was very rich in flavour and perfect note of sweetness. It was nice that they brought me three hot sauces which were very distinct in flavour from each other, and varying in heat. This isn't a place to expect a takeout burrito, but if you've got a bit of time and craving some real Mexican food, this is literally THE place to go for the area.

First off, I want start with the service when you dine in. It takes forever for a drink order, even water. The servers can speak spanish and english but its a hit or miss unless you have a good server that can understand english well. Food took a long time and they give out chicharrones ONLY ON REQUEST!!! The food is also a hit or miss with how fresh it is. The first time I ordered elote it was good but the next time the corn was never the same. With that being said I have ordered a few times from this place and I always have to request fresh cilantro with my order and when I received this and showed the owner I was accused of lying. It's proven facts that they have no respect for the food they serve or take accountability for their mistakes. Please look at the pictures and if you do go here to eat make sure to check the quality of the food before you eat it and you will also have a very long wait to be served Not worth it

Cute little Mexican place in downtown Brampton. The food is authentic and people are very friendly. Service was definitely great. They gave us free crooked fit table which were super delicious. Food was good, although the Enfrijoladas on the menu did not mention any meat but ended up being served with chicken. The other items were tasty and fresh. The green sauce they served was absolutely delicious and my favourite. The tres leche cake was delicious! The churros were a little doughy on the inside and were not served with a dipping sauce. Overall a good place, they just need to work on a couple of kinks- in terms of serving side plates, enough cutlery and also the correct drinks.

Frams served with spicy avocado crema & tomato based dipping sauces.

I would rate this place a 4.5/5 for service & food! We visited for a late Sunday afternoon lunch & the small space was fairly empty. We received two dipping sauces and some Mexican frams. The avocado crema sauce had a nice spice to it while the other was milder. Both were so good that we went through a couple bowls of frams! To start, we ordered the "elote" ($5.99 - corn on the cob topped with tajin, mayo, cotija cheese & lime juice). The corn was delicious but a little pricey considering it was only one cob of corn. For our mains, we ordered tacos. Each order came with three. The beef ($12.99) was topped with fresh onions and cilantro while the shrimp ($13.99) was served with a side of lettuce and chopped tomato, Mexican rice & chipotle sauce. Both versions of tacos came with double tortillas and were yummy. For dessert, we had churros ($6.99). With only two churros and little chocolate sauce, we did think the price point was high & would've preferred a small portion of dulce de leche or chocolate sauce on the side for dipping. As for the service, it was quick and the food was served nice & hot. Would definitely return & expect this to be a hotspot as the weather gets warmer!

    Pos Bueno Enchiladas

It's hard to find fresh, authentic Mexican restaurants that aren't completely overpriced. I was excited to try this place as I saw the menu and they had a variety of authentic Mexican dishes, including desserts and drinks unique to Pos Bueno. I went on a Friday night and it was pretty packed. Despite there being two servers working, the service was relatively quick, we were greeted with a smile and seated promptly. I looked through their varied menu and I ordered the tinga (pulled chicken) tacos. We also ordered the Pos Bueno enchiladas. The food came out quickly, and we were offered hot sauces. Our server gave us a salsa verde and a salsa rojo that I'm pretty sure they make in house, and they were delicious. The salsa rojo had a pretty good kick. The tinga tacos were delcious, the chicken wasn't dry, and though the order came with 3 tacos, I made a fourth taco with the extra tortilla. The enchiladas were good. A decent portion, fresh ingredients and good flavours. By the time we finished our entrees we were full so we didn't order any dessert. I will definitely be coming back to try some different dishes!

When I walked-in, there was a line-up of customers waiting to be served at the ordering counter. I took some time to look at the menu while I was waiting in the line. The line went quickly, which was great, and before I knew it, I was at the front of the line. Upon reaching the front of the line, I was greeted by a kind young woman, whom asked what I would like. I settled on two tacos; one with ground beef, and the other with grilled chicken. I was then given a number plaque, and asked to find a table in order to wait for the food. I waited about ten minutes, then was brought the food directly to my table, which I thought was great. When I noticed the two tacos on my dish, I was impressed with how full they were. There was also additional dipping sauce that came with my meal, along with two bottles of sauces that the server gave to me when he dropped off my food items. When I bit into the tacos, I was blown away at how delicious they were! The ground beef and grilled chicken were cooked to perfection, juicy and appetizing. I loved how full the tacos were, as there was plenty to munch on, which filled me up quite quickly. Along with the hip-happening Spanish music playing on the speaker, and the Mexican-themed decor on the walls, this restaurant truly embodied authentic Mexican cuisine. Complete with excellent service, this experience was something to remember. I will definitely be back!

We decided to start with the Fries Supreme, which have obviously been modeled after Taco Bell's iconic dish. And yeah, they definitely reminded me of that concoction. The fries could've been fresher and hotter but otherwise I quite enjoyed this messy plate. For the main, I went with a couple of tacos: the Chorizo and the Pulled Pork. The latter I found especially enjoyable, as the sauce the pork had been cooked in was delicious. (It was large chunks of pork, though, so I'm not quite sure it qualifies as pulled pork.) The many hot sauces available, plus the two sauces brought with the tacos, really elevated the whole thing, but I really enjoyed the creamy, cilantro-forward sauce included on the plate. Contigo is a cool little place. I'm sure I'll be returning.

Upon entering this restaurant, we were kindly greeted by the server at the front. We were then brought to a table on the upper level near the window which was near the railing therefore, was a tad tight. The music was lively however, not too loud. As well, the décor was set just right for a Mexican restaurant, with many decorations relating to the Day Of The Dead, which is a Mexican holiday. For my meal, I had settled on the pork carnitas without any onion or cilantro, while my daughter had the french fries, and my mother had the beef picadillo. I found that the wraps for the pork carnitas weren't too fresh however, the pork was a good amount, and tasted well-prepared. I would have liked to have some sort of a sauce or topping to go with the pork carnitas however, I only had the side order of diced avocado which was given, along with some Mexican inspired rice. Overall, the food was good however, it wasn't as good as I would have hoped. The prices were a tad high for what we had gotten however, I do respect that this is a family-owned business, and prices are high at every restaurant these days.
