!!!Please be aware!!! I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by this company at our condo marina. Their electrician came out, fixed my neighbor's boat lift, but left my boat lift completely without power. Who doesn't bother to check the adjacent lifts after working on electric?????? Both my neighbor--who is a paying customer and has spent three thousand dollars with this company--and I have called multiple times asking for urgent help, but the company has repeatedly avoided coming out to fix the issue. Despite this significant expense, my neighbor still doesn't have a working boat lift, and I have a boat on his lift that I can't use. It is unacceptable that they broke my boat lift and have taken zero responsibility for the damage. The lack of accountability and customer service is appalling. Based on our experience, I strongly advise others NOT TO USE this company. If you value your property and your time, look elsewhere. What a complete debacle. read more

Complete frauds. They had me sign for them to come initially and the balance said zero. Nothing was filled in for a price. The man was hear for 1 hour and charged over $800.00 . On top of that they stated they could give us a rebuild and sent us another invoice listing the engine on it and said it would cost $5000.00. They asked if the same credit card should be charged. I said I was not sure to call my dad who was paying for it. They never called my dad they just charged his card without him ever signing the invoice. On the day they were supposed to come out they they were late so I messaged them to the number they texted me from to confirm the appointment. At this time Jan 7th they said they would not be coming that day that they did not have the engine. As I was about to leave for a month I told them to please refund the card as we never gave them permission and JUSTIN the rep told me on the phone they would not charge it til the job was done. Which was the 1st lie. While I have been away with cameras on my yard for security and a chain around my gate with a lock my dad reported them to his credit card company. They had until last week to respond. They responded stating they put the engine on while we were gone. 1. I would have known if someone was in my yard and they would have too because the alarm system would have sounded and they would have been recorded. 2. The gate was locked. 3. I came home yesterday and guess what? The same old engine is on the boat. They actually told the credit card company they put a 60 HP Yamaha motor on my boat. Nope the same broke mercury is on there. They even have pictures of our old motor on their invoice. I have pictures of my old engine too. Still on my boat. I did not realize boating was a scam. I also called them multiple times during the day with no answers. After 6:30PM that day I finally got an answer that they can't fix it till Monday. I hired Poseidon Marine Mechanics to straighten an aluminum Bimini bar for my Sun tracker Pontoon boat. I paid $1094.02 for a service call and 4 hours of technician time , in which he could not straighten the bar. The bar is still in it's original condition. Obviously there is a whole lot more to this transaction but space and my patience is limited. Suffice to say that the Better Business Bureau gives Poseidon Marine Mechanics LLC an F rating with 15 complaints since they opened in 2021. Mine will be the 16th complaint. Do the numbers matter? Of course they do and anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar. I have ordered a new aluminum bar from Nobles Enterprise AKA Nobles Marine. They have been in business over 40 years and according to the Better Business Bureau have an A+ rating with 0 complaints. Do your due diligence when hiring a marine mechanic, wish I did. read more

CROOKS!! CROOKS!! CROOKS!! I requested their services to fix an issue with my outboard engine. They were UNABLE to determine the problem. They STILL charged me over $1,600!! The entire time, the technician did NOT disclose what fees I would be charged for him to endlessly trouble-shoot the engine. Basically, he was "riding the clock" so he could generate additional charges - again, WITHOUT telling me I was being charged for him to scratch his head and ponder what could possibly be wrong with my boat. When saw the over $1,600 charge pop up on my credit card, I immediately called the company to get clarification on WHY I was charged so much money without them even repairing my engine. They assured me billing would give me a call back to discuss my concerns with the bill. They NEVER CALLED me back after I contacted them numerous times requesting clarification of the charges. Tech shows up at 8:45. Says he has to do his diagnostic first. This entails numerous items for which I didn't call them out for. I requested solar panel installation, rewire to my control panel, and install a composting toilet. Tech had ZERO partake with him. No wire, nothing. I had to run to Ace Hardware to buy everything. The Tech literally had to check in with the office all day long throughout the day. He never installed my solar panels, not sure what he spent time doing on the inside, but he left and my bilge wasn't even on. Had another electrician come out and tell me it all has to be redone. Ironically that Tech quoted me about 5 hours to install solar panels and redo all the wiring. This company is trying to charge me over 2,500.00 for the original time the Tech spent here. He actually only worked for about 5 hours. They are also charging time for his diagnostic on the boat- which is also a separate fee, so they are double dipping. I am disputing my bill with them and immediately they start to threaten to place a lien on my boat. Do not recommend AT ALL. Who doesn't show up to wire a boat without any wire? Also, he spent a couple hours in his car trying to find the wire. It was a real shit show. read more

This is a pattern of consistent over billing, late show up, not showing up with proper equipment or parts and doing Shoddy work. Furthermore, I did not sign a written or electronic agreement and I also did not drive a long distance on broken hub. Your technician failed to tell me right up prompt that he did not have the proper parts when I was promised that he would arrive with everything necessary to get me back on the road. Only a hub and an axle were required and some tools which the technician did not have. As such, your technician should not have showed up as this was a promise to get me on the that day the parts were needed to do so he did not reveal that until he around for an hour trying to get a tire and a tire off a cotter pin and broken hub removed. David's pattern of behavior is to blame everyone else but his own company to take responsibility but that's because they do this consistently. You only need to Google the "worst mobile marine services in Florid and Poseidon marine services not surprisingly comes up number one according to AI data. Not surprising just look at their reviews on Facebook, yelp and Google and that almost all one and the ones that are five some of from their own employees and I'm sure they have friends and family and possibly even pay a website developer to secure the five star ratings? David consistently to disagree and people are trying to just save money. That's ridiculous as I have no problem with money. I contracted over the phone with Poseidon Marine to inspect a bolt receiver embedded in my hull. The vessel is a 1975 Catalina 22, hull -4909. The bolt 'receiver' holds the keel pivot plates to the hull and is not accessible except with the 500# lead keel removed, except through the bolt hole. Photos and dwgs of the part/area of the vessel were provided to Poseidon. The initial quote was $195.00 to inspect. Final charge was $495.32. Invoice provided. Management would not discuss discrepancy between the two. 1) The technician was not prepared when he arrived. He did not have photos/dwgs and he did not know where to access the part. He utilized no tools except the factory approved replacement part provided by this customer. This customer declined an overall vessel inspection as the vessel is in an overhaul condition. 2) The company management (maintenance manager) would not take phone calls nor respond to other managers' (sales and scheduling) prompts to pick up and talk with this customer. 3) The invoice provided to me, the inspection report attached to the invoice was inaccurate at least and fabricated at worst. The vessel was in this customer's driveway, at home, when the technician arrived. He parked in the neighbor's yard and was found aboard the boat opening the companion way without having alerted this customer to his arrival. He was redirected to the bottom of the hull for his invoice work. This customer queried the technician about previously provided photos and drawings, and then provided the drawings previously sent to Poseidon management. He employed only a ~8" flathead screwdriver and had to be repeatedly cautioned, then directed to stop attempting to leverage the screwdriver between the 500# lead keel and the fiberglass hull. He used no tools to probe the inner bolt receiver. He inserted the spare new bolt with relative ease into position. (The tech had no safety gear. This customer provided safety glasses. The tech turned down the use of a mask) This accomplished, this customer stated satisfaction and asked the technician to stop work. The technician took some photos on his cell phone and asked if this customer wanted a complete inspection done. This customer declined due to the vessels condition and on-going work. 6/5/25 Poseidon management was contacted by phone immediately following the technician's departure (scheduling manager). Once the technician's name was given, the sales manager was included in the call. The sales manager initially moved to explain the lack of preparedness with the number and type of boats on the market. He changed his approach when informed of the previously sent documents. This customer was informed that the maintenance manager would be calling and this first call ended. The maintenance manager did call and told this customer the invoice would have to be completed before he could assess the situation. This customer called again on 6/6/25 after receiving an electronic copy of the invoice. Calls to the maintenance manager went unanswered 6/6, 6/7, and 6/9. Payment was posted electronically on 6/9. The scheduling manager was contacted 6/9 and told this customer the maintenance manager would phone. 30 min later Poseidon was called again, and this customer told the maintenance manager had left for the day. The invoice indicates a full inspection of the vessel was completed. The invoice charged 150% more than originally quoted. The invoice indicates a 'tap' was used (called for) and as stated above, no tools were used other than the technician's cell phone light (inadequate for the inspection) and a flat head screwdriver (inappropriately) were employed during the requested service. Given the difficulties with this transaction, this customer is looking for a removal of the overcharge for work not authorized nor performed ($300.32), a reduction by half ($92.50) of the original quote due to the lack of preparation provided by Poseidon and the necessary oversite and assistance provided by this customer in affecting the service. The scheduling team was polite and worked hard to acquire my business. The sales manager deflected any response to the difficulties when informed. The maintenance manager's response was completely disingenuous and inadequate in explaining the lack of preparation of the technician in Poseidon's processes and his deflection of any explanation of the work on the invoice. I cannot recommend this company for any type of work under these circumstances. read more

They tried to charge us almost $4,000 to fix a jet ski but never got it working. They said they would have to charge more money to come back out to get it working. Initially it started off well. They immediately set a quick schedule to come out to work on my boat. However, come the day they were arriving I sensed this was not going to be a good experience when I received a text indicating that they were already out working on my boat in the morning. Being that they were hourly I immediately called to get confirmation......because I was sitting on my boat with no one there. They apologized and said the technician was on his way. One hour later he arrived. Not only did they not fix the issue. I was charged a MASSIVE bill for parts and labor, only to have the boat still not run. They started ghosting my calls, and ultimately I took my boat into a legitimate boat shop that charged me $161 to install the part correctly that they incorrectly installed. They get 1 star because they were pleasant on the phone, but I would avoid this company at all costs. This company are scammers. read more

He also came out weeks later to just do regular service and helped us fix another broken wire that was impacting our billage pump. Great guy, hard worker, and very reasonably priced. read more

Beware, these guys are crooks! I have a 20ft Key West with a 90hp Yam and the steering was frozen. Poseidon made this a night mare project which was confirmed by a reputable mechanic who had to repair Poseidon's hack job, before fixing the steering. 1) Poseidon overheated the clamp bracket on the steering arm 2) Poseidon decided that lifting the rear deck was also needed to work on the steering (wrong). 3) Poseidon cut the opposite end of the steering cable, which come to find out wasn't necessary either. I'm guessing these are techniques to add labor and parts to the job which allows Poseidon to pad a bill and overcharge customers. Before Poseidon left my driveway I had a charge on my CC for $777.41 and a boat with a bent steering clamp, lifted rear deck and a severed steering cable!. I disputed the charge because I was home the entire time, and know how much actual time was spent on the hack job. Then Poseidon sent me a quote for over $1500 to (hopefully) come back and fix their mess. Poseidon and I came to an agreement on an amount for that 1st and only visit. The problem now is that Poseidon says they don't have the $777.41 which was temporarily placed on hold during the dispute. This is NOT true as I've confirmed with the my CC and provided proof to Poseidon that they have the money. My advice, don't let these guys anywhere near your boat!. An absolute rip off. I hired Poseidon to complete a hundred hour service on my two Mercury engines. The Service advisor Chad assured me that Poseidon was an otherized Mercury repair shop and the 100 hour service would cost $550.00 which I authorized. I drove the boat the two days before the service and I noticed that the power steering seemed tight and I made Chad aware that it would need to be looked at. One the date of my original service Chad called me to make me aware that two hubs needed to be replaced and asked for permission to replace them, I did. Two days after the following day Chad ca. The filled again to inform me that the Service Technician was unable to remove the oil filters from the housing with a standard oil wrench so he stabbed them with a screwdriver to get some leverage. (On a two year old bout) Chad advised me not to start the engines. The following day the Technician came out and replaced the filters and housing assembly. Poseidon charged me $4500.00 for this work. The following week I took the boat for a ride and noticed not on grease fitting had been touched and both engines were shaking uncontrollably. Poseidon sent a second Technician out who said he had found a vacuum leak caused be the first Technician. The vibration did slow down but didn't go away. I was told that I had a Knick in my propellers and that they needed to be replaced at a cost of close to $5000.00 . I called another company for a second opinion who found the factory spark plugs still in the engine and claimed that other then the oil filters being changed they had seen no evidence of a 100 hour service being completed on either motor. I called my Service Adviser Chad and let him know that I wanted an explanation and a credit for the 100 hour service that I paid for that was not completed! I have been ghosted since then. read more
