On 6/11/18 I visited St. Michael Special School in New Orleans in regards to my sister whom was a…read moreprevious student at the school for many years until hurricane Katrina. My goal upon arrival was to gather information on the Joy center where she requested to attend school. As I arrived I spoke to the receptionist who directed me to speak with the administrative director whom then informed me that my sister would Not be allowed to attend the school do to the limited space since she DID NOT graduate from St. Michael Special School. I explained that my sister did not graduate because Hurricane Katrina took place her senior year. She received her class ring, but like many others we had to relocate due to the fact that our home was destroyed. Unfortunately, the director just stated, " I'm sorry but that's our rules". I believe the company should make an exception for students who had to leave their school on those terms. That was not the student choice. It was by force due to the natural disaster. At the least, this school should offer a waiting list and make exceptions under these conditions. Many parents sacrificed years of paying tuition to ensure their child would receive a exceptional education only to find that upon return to the school they loved the door would be shut in there face. This has been a very displeasing experience and I will be placing her in another program. I CAN NO LONGER RECCOMEMED THIS PROGRAM TO OTHERS ON THE GROUNDS THAT THERE IS NO CONSIDERATION FOR PEOPLE WHO HAD TO REBUILD AND START OVER! P.S St. Michael Special School can accept thousands in tuition, but the minute you don't graduate (due to personal reasons are natural disaster) you are officially abandoned and will not be able to continue to the adult joy center program. I find this to be extremely distasteful and upsetting. Resolution: Be considerate of those who were about to graduate but weren't able due to the natural disaster. As a catholic organization it is a duty to show compassion to others while being considerate of their needs.

I am very thankful for the teachers they have had from 2nd to 8th grade (these are the grades attended) . All teachers were easily accessible and responded to all my inquiries same day sometimes within the hour. The best part from my experience with Belle chasse Academy is the communication, I have been in the know when it comes with anything involving my kids. Communication is sent through parent square app, posted on their Facebook page and for extremely time sensitive information receive an automated call. Both my kids have had the opportunity to be in advance math which will have them enter high school with a math credit completed. BCA has many opportunities for advanced students to continue advancing in all core classes and earn high school credits in 8th grade. For our family BCA has been a great school and exceeded our expectations.

However, my other son is in Kindergarten and has had a a horrible experience. Ms. Bylsma is not a good teacher and extremely rude. My son was so excited for Kindergarten and has a happy spirit. Not only did Ms. Bylsma kill his spirit, but ruined his Kindergarten experience. We removed him from her class and doing home school. Multiple families around us had the same comments about her. Choose a different teacher if your child is going into kindergarten.

I put mine in cheap spice bottles with the original labels and it worked great for me! LOVE the contests, the fun craft events and then even better inspiration. I had a lot going on in my life and this was a great source of fun and inspiration for me! I miss their store and everything they did for the community! Glad to still be following on facebook and looking forward to their next chapter!

I have been here a few times for Krewe events. I keep trying to like this place, but I have a hard…read moretime. First: the positives... there is a huge selection of glitter. Also? There's a lot of workspaces, so if you're there for a craft day or krewe party, there's room to spread out and have your space. Also? They have a bathroom, and it seems pretty cleaned and stocked, so no complaints there Now, the reasons that this is my least favorite glitter place in the Greater NOLA area... 1. the cost -- the amount you spend for the little bit of glitter that you get? It's not worth it. Yes, if there is a specific krewe blend that you're looking for and want to support that, fine, splurge. For me? that's way too pricey. 2. the containers. The glitter is given to you in a sealed bag that is filled with static and has no way to reclose. It's not ziplock, it's not a reusable jar. It's a waste of plastic that you have to replace as soon as it's opened. It's incredibly impractical, and if you have a huge stock of glitter to begin with, it becomes annoying to try to find another container to store it. If you need glitter, or things for your spinner cup thingys, they're an option. However, for the price and product, definitely no where close to where I'd go with so many other options available in the GNO area.
