I shop at local business as much as I can to support the local economy, I went there specifically to purchase something I could have bought on Amazon for less but chose to go there. I was there a few minutes before they opened she came out and in a super rude tone said they aren't open yet, I said no worries I'm just waiting. When it was time to open, she opened the door and again very rudely looks at me and said not yet. She had some display items to bring out which again no big deal but there is a way to nicely tell someone something. I finally was shopping and ready to checkout and after waiting for a bit for her to notice she asked "if I was ready to check out or something" Next time I'll save my money and spend 50 bucks on Amazon instead of worrying about supporting the shop. Super disappointing-retail is not their calling.

It took me a little bit of searching for the store front. GPS will lead you to believe its right on the corner McConnel and Bryon Ct. However, if you are on Bryon Ct. it's actually closer to the main road crossing than it is to McConnel. Look for the grayish blue business buildings on your left hand side. It's facing the street on the bottom floor. If you've reached the bakery on the corner you went a little too far. This cute boutique shop is small in size but carries a lot of items that you're not going to typically find in a corporate box store. The items are on the more pricey side, but what your getting in exchange is high quality, green friendly, non traditional baby items as well as personal hygiene care for mom before and after pregnancy. I decided to go with a really great sash for carrying the baby (on consignment. So it was a awesome discount.) A very soft muslin material milestone blanket, a pacifier holder (really great brand! Doesn't shrink back pacifier on string too harshly), and some mama care items. I could have bought so many wonderful things. Soft diaper liners and covers, a great variety of baby carriers and sashes, baby clothes, food utensils, and bottles. Sweet toys and teethers jewelry for baby. A lot of hygiene care items even if your not pregnant or nursing. I really valued the items they carry. I left their store feeling really good about the one of a kind items I bought for my dear friend. Afterward I grabbed a bite to eat at the bakery just down the street. They have 3 hour parking next to the waterfront, so the whole experience was so delightful. Plus, the help I got shopping couldn't be beat. Any questions I had were thoroughly answered, and I never felt pressure to buy anything. Afterward, the cashier packaged it up for me with a gift bag in such a pretty presentation. The stress of finding just the right gift melted away. There isn't a lot of stores here at the waterfront to browse, but I found the whole atmosphere was a very pleasant one. And they do have events going on here all the time. On this particular day the Kitsap Art school was having an end of the year event with music, balloons, food, and face painting. Plus a birthday going on in the park. It made my afternoon to come to a place where there were many families just enjoying the weekend near the Silverdale waterfront.

When we walked in, we were warmly greeted by one of the co-owners who was wearing her own baby. I'm a first time mom (22 weeks pregnant) so we've been shopping sales and watching prices to start our cloth diapering collection. NOLA had a huge collection of new cloth diaper brands to search through with tons of cute patterns and all the accessories you can think of. The co-owner politely answered every single one of my questions and kept checking on us (not in a bad way) and referred us to things she though were good. She definitely actually cared that we were successful and had good things instead of just wanting us to buy more stuff. She even showed us to their consignment section (she could smell the young and broke on us) and it was even more extensive!! She helped us look through all of the baskets and showed us the cutest colors. It was just a really wonderful experience. Overall, stores like this are really important and empowering because it's all about moms helping moms. Not just customer to business owner but a lot of their merchandise was from local moms or mom-centered businesses. This place doesn't do anything halfway!

Color me surprised when I found out a local retailer to me would be apart of the re-release of a print I missed out on! So I waited in line for 1.5 hours assuming there would be a long line - nope. I was first and only person in line . The owner was such a doll to deal with and so I was able to get exactly what I wanted while paying retail!
