It is very messy.. The things that aren't ready for sale needs to be behind the counter. They need to get more help so they can stay open during the open hours. Put a sign up at lunch be back in (put a clock when they'll be back if can't get extra help) Definitely let people shop instead of talking for hours.. (very over talkative and sometimes says comments she should not say, seemed defensive) I would've been done in 5-10 minutes instead it took hours to get out. Some things are good prices others were pricy. She was nice about it though and explained things. There wasn't much selection though for baby clothes. I got some cute things. I've driven by this place a few times and finally decided to pop in. They have a huge selection of kids clothes in all sizes. I was able to find some really cute things at very reasonable prices. They also carry trendy adult clothes with brands like Zara, Madewell and Athleta just to name a few. They also had a lot of shoes and toys/ baby equipment. The owner was super friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to help us and even went to the back to pull out more clothes for us to look at. Will definitely be coming back! read more

I haven't been in the store yet, so I don't feel I can give an accurate star rating for how the store is inside, however, I'm sitting in my car in front of the store right now, during open hours, and the door is locked. A man pulled up to get his haircut next door and he told me that he has seen people multiple times trying to get in during open hours and no one is there. So I'm not sure what that's about. The door clearly states that you are open 10 am-6 pm mon-Friday. It's currently 10:32 am on Wednesday. Now I'm reading other reviews and it sounds like this is common. Also, when I peered through the door window to see if anyone was inside, it didn't look ready for customers. Items and things all over the floor. This is a great hidden gem! Came in on a Sunday and got some things for me and my daughter. I found lululemon, Patagonia, nuna, seven for all mankind and lots more! Some of the stuff I got was new with tags, but everything was in gently used or good used condition. There was a lot of gear too. From strollers to swings, bike trailers, hiking backpacks and more. The one time we have been able to enter during business hours, the store is overflowing with bags and boxes of items yet to be registered/stocked. Such a mess to attempt to shop around! This is a great place to shop for consignment clothing. I have shopped here for years. For my kids when they were younger and now for my grandkids. The prices are really fair and there is quite a nice selection of clothing and toys. Also strollers and baby stuff. If Tracy doesn't have what you are looking for she will try and watch for it to come in for you. She takes great care to stick only the nicest if clothing. No stains or tears. Finally made the drive from Bothell to City Kids only to find that they were closed. Despite the sign on the door saying they're open. Haven't even stepped foot in the door and they've lost my business already. Either change your hours or open when you say you are! Horrid customer service. A customer shouldn't have to call to see if a business is open before going. Especially when the hours are posted. Another customer pulled in the parking lot beside me and I told her that they're closed. She said that's happened to her a few times before. Seems like a common occurrence for this company. I have officially driven to this place just to arrive to a locked up (yet supposed to be open store) for the very last time. I have been compassionate for so long, because I think the owner has health problems, but at this point it is just ridiculous. If you can't come in to the store then just close. I don't usually assume things about others' financial state, but if owner can afford to keep that location (whether rented or owned) while hardly ever being open to make money, then they can afford to hire an employee to actually be there when customers are. We're not talking a sudden family emergency. The store has been running this way for at least 7-8 years. Just come to work or close down. It's really just disrespectful to customers at this point. Are people seriously still dropping off things to be consigned? How do you think you're going to make profit back if she's never there to sell your stuff? Consignors Beware!! I dropped off a high quality Recaro car seat that auctions on eBay for $199 and included its 3-point safety strap system -- perfect in-store condition. Tracy sold it for $46 after telling me she would price it "at just under" eBay pricing -- Oops! #1. When she sold it, it was brought back the next day with the 3-point safety strap system missing; making the high-end car seat totally useless -- Oops! #2. She does not keep posted hours; go in midday to guarantee catching her -- Oops! #3. You can't get a printed contract if you drop items off because "the printer doesn't work" -- Oops! #4. Tracy DID call me after this Yelp! was posted and tried to mediate the pricing and now-missing straps -- not sure if she will be able to resolve putting the car seat back in usable condition. read more

This a great little store! I went in looking for clothes for my 3 month old that is fitting into 6 month old clothes. Tracey the owner was helpful and a pleasure to talk too! The selection for boys was not as grand as the girls section but I walked out with some great outfits at great prices. This was a lovely consignment shop with truly high-quality kids stuff, even though it's a smallish location. When I visited, they had a carseat and base in great condition. Designer baby clothes as well as Carter's and other typical brands - all in the $3 - $15 range. I'm taking off a star only because when I first visited, the owner had put up a sign saying she was off the day before due to illness. Experience matters, so this contributes to my overall rating. Yesterday was my first visit to this store. I'm all for supporting local business. I let my toddler play while I looked around this tiny shop. I'd check on him once in a while to make sure he wasn't wreaking havoc. Eventually, it seemed he'd found a toy he liked -- a little stuffed pig from Peppa Pig. He clutched on to that thing and the woman behind the counter noticed. In my head, seeing how my son was rather attached to the toy and it only costing $3.95, I knew I was going to buy it. I hate buying just one thing, so I kept searching the store for something else to buy. I don't know if that look make me look suspicious but it sure felt like it. Eventually I picked up a Peppa Pig book. Then I walked to the counter to pay for the items and put both items on the counter. After the woman behind the counter scanned​ the price tag on the book, she paused and was just looking at me. I just looked at her because I had no idea what was going on. She tells me she's waiting for the sticker on the pig. So I think the price tag has fallen off because I place both items on the counter. So I'm looking everywhere thinking it's attached to me or my child, and I'm searching the whole store because I went everywhere. The lady starts searching too. And she says something along the lines of "I'm not trying to say you're stealing." Eventually she sees that the pig has been sitting in front of her this whole time. She apologized but that was it. I kind of felt like a criminal, now that I'm looking back on what happened yesterday. For this reason I probably won't be back. Who wants to feel like they're being watched like a hawk. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a very honest person. I just wanted to buy some things for my son. And know the lady doesn't know me, but please make me feel like you're giving me the benefit of the doubt. The store has quite a good selection of children's clothes and clothes for moms (not maternity clothes) too. It's very small and a little crowded, especially yesterday when there were bags of items that looked like they were still in the process of being organized on the floor surrounding the counter. There were a lot of shoes too. Despite my experience, I'd say it's still a good place to check out when you want to buy children's clothing on the cheap. Love this business. I bring all of my excellent condition items here. The prices are fair and she pays attention to the quality of items she sells. Of course there are often items there that are being processed and that is the reality of a consignment store that takes on items and has to organize and create inventory tracking to pay consigners. Since I got pregnant, I've been wanting to check out this consignment shop. I've lived in Edmonds my whole life and never had a reason to go in there until now! What a GEM! The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable of the inventory. Clearly, the shop gets a LOT of items that come through (there were bags and bags of items waiting to be put out once stock cleared out). The selection is perfect - not overwhelming like a department store, but not sparse. Cloths, toys, etc in GREAT condition - at thrift store prices (!!!). Super friendly owner!! Great selection of just about everything. Found a couple cute items for fall (most of the inventory is still summer right now though). I plan to consign a few of my bigger items here (car seats, strollers, etc) next week and hopefully have some store credit for school clothes shopping later. One star deducted because the store was in quite a state of disarray. The owner mentioned someone dropped off a ton of stuff and she had just finished sorting. I had to step over quite a few bags of clothes just to move around. Though I'm excited to see what all was brought in once she gets it out! Friendly suggestion to owner - maybe limit the amount things consigners can drop off at once? I've consigned at stores with that rule and it makes the sorting process for everyone involved much quicker and also prevents the store from looking super cluttered/overwhelming. With all that said though, I would definitely recommend this place and the owner is an absolute delight to work with! read more

I really love this local treasure! The owner is a genuine sweetheart who selects and stocks really nice quality items at very good prices. I always find more than I am looking for and never leave empty handed. For a small independent store she has a large selection of everything from shoes (including clays and dance shoes) toys, hats, snow wear & coats, baby gear etc etc etc and today I was really impressed by her selection of beautiful cloth diapers and wool covers. She also has at least one rack of gems for us mom's too which includes great shoes and clothes. It is well worth your time to come in and she welcomes your kids in too, even offers them a free small toy from her little treasure bowl! read more

I hate to be negative, but I've had enough of this place. It is rarely open for the full day of their set hours. And somehow I always seem to go when it is closed. It is heartbreaking to get my 2 year old excited to go buy a new jacket (the very first she'll get to pick out) only find the store closed an hour after it claimed to be open. I know it's a small business, but if they can't make the hours work please change them. It's always such a mess when we walk inside, total disarray. The only saving grace is that if you search through the mess, you may be able to find some well priced items. The owner is really nice so I check here often to support her- but the selection isn't really great for what I'm looking for. It could be just the size I am searching for- I have friends that have shopped here and they seem to have better luck then I do. Shoes are a huge draw for me and their shoe selection leaves much to be desired. But again it's all a matter of opinion as everyone's style and every kids style is different.
