The line both days was an hour wait but it is so worth it and the view in line makes it go by faster. The bread with the wonderful butter olive oil blend was incredible the butter olive oil was perfectly salted and very creamy the bread was fresh and had a wonderful taste. We ordered the meatballs for our starter the first time and it was incredible one of the best meatballs i've had. The truffle fettuccine alfredo was very delicious the pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauce was so good you could drink it. The sedanini 3 tomato pasta had a very good flavor profile and tasted very fresh. The carbonara was also extremely good and had guanciale which added the most perfect saltiness. The tiramisu was also very good i enjoyed that the coffee used was not caffeinated so we were all able to sleep that night. The second time we went i had to step out to attend a meeting via zoom and took my food to go. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating and offered to pack up some of the delicious tomato cucumber salad my parents had left for me. The hospitality in this restaurant is next level everyone is extremely nice and welcoming.

They serve a shorter menu than many of the other Nobu restaurants but all the classic dishes like the Black Cod with Miso are there. The sushi were ok (hard to make the difference between those and the sushi from much cheaper real Japanese restaurants across Europe). But in summary it was excellent, with good fast service and in the amazing setting of the Badrutt Palace. A trip to the Palace is I guess a necessary stop in a St Moritz trip and the restaurant is located in a very pleasant room with elegant and comfortable wooden chairs. Not sure how often Nobu himself is there though The only downside is the price really so we won't do that every night!

What is noteworthy about this place during Christmas is the clientele, as this hotel is where Europe's elite converge during late December, mixed with a few middle easterners and Russians. They engage in a delightfully conspicuous gameshow of "who came out of the most expensive vagina and can prove it by how they dress", which is amazing to watch. You get the sense that the only people who "earned" their wealth in this old money crowd are the young attractive females sitting with the decrepit older well dressed men, both staring at their mobile phones for most of the meal. This place is perhaps worth it for the people watching alone!

Other reviews mentioned the ambiance and are accurate so I'll focus on food and service. The bolognese was okay, but looked to have been prepared in advance. I expect the sauce to be served atop freshly cooked pasta, not stirred and sorted in a bowl. The boar ravioli In pumpkin sauce with sage was okay. The Poke with salmon was fresh and attractively served. The sauce was advertised to be slightly spicy but it easily not. Three desserts were ordered - two chocolate cakes were okay but the tiramisu was not enjoyed. I did have dessert, which leads me to service. Four different servers interacted with us. POOR is not too strong a description. I had used the restroom as soon as we were seated. Within a minute of return we were asked to order. I explained I hadn't read beyond the first page and was briskly told they return in 5 minutes. Ten minutes later a different person came to take the order. Two were asked for a drink order before walking away. I had to search out the waiter to ask for a glass of wine (limited choices - no list offered). The food was served by a third person. No one checked on us during the meal and the 3 pasta diners actually wanted bread as none had been served. While I was still eating, the first waitress cleared the 3 pasta dishes and quickly told the dessert options (no menu offered). She brought them while I was still eating my dinner. I never was asked if I would like a dessert. No one came with the check so after 20 minutes of waiting we had to find one of the 4 who had served us to ask for the check. To summarize, the food was only okay and the service was poor at best. And, the restaurant was not busy! Training is needed if you are not going to have a dedicated server per table.

For our short time in St Moritz, our party of 12 dined at this Swiss establishment located next to…read morethe train station. With the weather warm and humid, dining in a large group was uncomfortably warm and cramped. I wonder why the Suisse don't believe in fans. I digress. One of the first things I do when the waiter asks what we'd like to drink, I ask for tap water. Otherwise, you are charged 7-8 CHF for every carafe of water instead of 4 CHF charge. When I read the menu (in English) I was excited to find several game dishes like venison, deer, boar and marmot. Having had boar bolognese in Italy many years ago, I ordered boar with handmade noodles ($31.50)and a plate of grilled vegetables ($26). Too much food for one person. While I liked the vegetables, the texture of the squash was strange and tough and the boar wasn't quite as umami as I would have liked. One thing to note is that Europeans like their carbs al dente per American standards. If you're not used to al dente, then stay away from rice and pasta. Here's what the rest of our party had: Lambs Lettuce with Eggs and Bacon - looked great Barley Soup - tastes like it's made with bacon, yum Grilled Alpine Char Sliced Venison Beef Skewers - table favorite Aglio Spaghetti Gnocchi Gorgonzola Risotto Taleggio - too al dente 2 tap water 5 CHF Prawns and Spaghetti - good flavor, but too al dente Ice cream for dessert Europe is old school. If someone orders a soup, salad or vegetable, those dishes come first and everyone else has to wait while watching people eat. While everyone liked their food, there were no standouts and the portions were too much for one person. Sharing would have been a good idea.

Veal was good but nothing special about it. It's easy to find same quality plates somewhere else. Sole, was overcooked. How do I know? I hade to use my knife to cut through the fish. Service: average at best. However, table next to us got lot of attention from the manager/ owner. Maybe the size of your order determines the amount of attention you get! Also, we wanted to sit inside, but were told that all tables were reserved for 1:30pm. 1:30 came and no one showed up. 2:00 came and there still empty tables inside. So, that's my impression of the place. We expected more. Would I go back? Nope, but you make your own choice.

Thankfully they sat us even though we were not properly dressed. Service was excellent. Cozy, warm ambience inside - some outdoor seating with heaters. Good wine selection; greens were fresh for the salad & the truffle angel hair pasta was good. Needed some parm for additional flavor. We were both disappointed in the quality of the steak, particularly at the price for the largest piece. Very sinewy - not a good cut of meat. However - good flavor - was cut tableside and served with mashed potatoes & vegetables.
