I have an Etsy store and I rely on the USPS to pick up and deliver my packages. This was never a problem until I moved to Columbia. In one year, I have had mail sent to my neighbors, and I have received theirs. Most recently, they did not pick up my outgoing mail for two days. Now two days later, the package I shipped has not been entered into the tracking system. Now I am going to have to issue a refund. No problem there, it's not the customers fault the USPS cannot perform. My problem is the lack of accountability. No one is responsible. Mail gets picked up, or it doesn't. Packages get entered or they don't. There is no consistency. What was once a prideful example of America doing it's best, has turned into a circus sideshow. You cannot and should not trust the USPS to do the right thing. read more

I am at the post office a lot and the only complaint I have is that they don't seem to have enough help and the lines get long. But the clerks are invariably pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. I've seems them with difficult or confused patrons and they are so patient and explain things over and over until people understand. We are very lucky to have these people. read more

I'm not sure what their problem is, and I mean all of USPS. They simply cannot deliver mail in a timely manner, across the entire country. Who cares if you need your medicine. Who cares if you need money delivered. Who cares if you need your package in a timely manner. So what? They are absolutely horrible and careless. The so called postmaster general was in court...and when he didn't want to hear anymore, he literally covered his ears like a 5 year old child. He thinks he's going to resign in 5 years. NO PAL, you will be gone as soon as you are privatized. Prices of stamps kept going up, but service kept going down. People are sick and tired of it. Constant issues w/the Postal Service in the Mill Creek Manor area. Here are the issues: 1. My outgoing mail that was supposed to be picked up was on the ground when I got home from work. 2. Constantly receiving other's mail in my box 3. Packages left in the rain when I have a covered porch. 4. Today not all my outgoing mail was picked up. This is the worst postal service I have ever received. Poor attention to detail and lack of pride in the work from the postal carrier. AND YOU GUYS WANT A FREAKING RAISE!?!?!?!? Give me a Break!!! If I could avoid all packages from Amazon being sent by snail mail, I would do it. There was a notice on my Amazon account that the delivery date may be later than the original delivery date. So the package was routed to the correct city on Wednesday and it was scanned in at the correct post office for my zip code. When I didn't get the package on Thursday I checked the order status today, Friday, and saw that the Columbia post office sent my package out of state to Indiana.I called the post office inquiring about its delivery date and I was told it could possibly be on Monday, but no guarantees. So I don't know when I will get my package. read more

Called to see if I could pick up my package instead of waiting for it to be delivered. The lady on the phone told me it was out for delivery even though she didn't ask for my address or name. I insisted she check before she hung up, and my package was at another facility. Very rude and dismissive. read more

"Gross Incompetency" Despite filling out the necessary paperwork, this post office managed to misplace a large amount of my mail that was never forwarded to me. When I called, all the clerk could tell me was that he had no idea what happened to it. The result: A doctor's office turned me over to a collection agency because I didn't receive a bill I thought was paid. Is it really that difficult to forward mail? In addition to an awful neighborhood carrier, I just found out a package scheduled to arrive by 2100, 12/24/2020, is delayed. After tracking the package, it arrived here in Columbia, MO at around 1900, 12/23/2020. There were no further updates after that. When I asked if a packet had arrived for me because I had received a notice on my door. The middle aged blonde woman simply responded "why would it " (I suppose her working a post office wasn't a big enough hint as to why) and then acted as if She is doing me the biggest favor for even speaking to me. USPS service is a JOKE!!! Constantly saying my packages were delivered but weren't. So time consuming to find out why a postal worker lied and didn't even come by my house. They even say a package was left in mailbox when it wouldn't even fit. Amazon and Walmart need to find a better way to deliver packages. I'm tired of incompetence being blamed on Covid. The first time I used this post office the woman was awesome. I was sending out some care packages for christmas from a local non profit. The african american woman clerk was SO helpful (I'm specifying so hopefully she gets some credit), even though we came in like 20 minutes to close. She was patient, got us the boxes, taped them up, and had us out of there super fast. Today, Not so much. I walked up with more care packages to send and before I even really said anything the clerk was looking at me like I was stupid. She was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She was going to charge us almost double for what we paid the previous day. She also said she wouldn't tape the boxes for us because "you have to buy it" even though I was literally there the day before and it wash't a problem. She said that lady "did it out of the good of her heart". Apparently. Someone needs some customer service training or work in the back lol. read more

1 star is too much. The ONLY two times I have used USPS (the only option I was given) my packages have been multiple days late. I paid for priority shipping in both orders and WAS NOT NOTIFIED in anyway. 6 days late is unacceptable. There wasn't a post on my door, I didn't receive a call, nor an email. I always knew the postal service was dying, but after this week I am CERTAIN it is going to its death. I waited OVER a week for my fun necklaces to come in for my organization. All I wanted was to be a nice gal and now I look like a untimely hooligan. This is UNACCEPTABLE and I am v v unhappy. Like V unhappy!! Never had a problem here except there is always a line. I've found them generally helpful and have not been treated poorly or seen incompetence like is mentioned in other reviews. Pretty much anything you need to mail something can be done here. read more

SLOW SERVICE... that's what comes to mind when I think of this USPS office. Most of the employees have the same philosophy: if I don't make eye contact and pretend to fiddle around with paperwork, I won't have to help anyone send their mail.
