His car was paid off so they ended up totaling it and he's now navigating the process of paperwork. He was unsure how to fill out his paperwork, and I guess brought the papers into the notary blank. She very kindly helped him through the process of filling out the paperwork, getting it notarized and getting it mailed off. I appreciate her kindness immensely and wanted to make sure it was acknowledged. My dads words: "Everything went well... The person was very nice and experienced... Explained everything and helped me fill out papers... The lady helping me was the Notary and knew all about what I had to do... She even knew how the mailing label was supposed to work... I was happy with the service..." So if anyone is looking for a notary on island this sounds like the lady you want to have helping you!

You see like many Canadians & vice versa Americans, we were severely impacted by the border closure in effect since mid March 2020! Have I told you about how much I hate bats!!? S*#'! I began to wonder if I would ever be able to pick up my orders or would they be lost forever ... maybe even end up on one of those 'unclaimed items' auctions you see on TV!? 'Hey that's my 85" TV about to be sold off!' LOL. Land crossings at the border finally reopened last week. Yahoooooo!!! Cheesecake Factory - I missed you soooooo much! You see its cheaper for Canadians to set up mailboxes just across the border & receive parcels this way as a means of avoiding paying high duty! Items going through a customs inspection are charged a dreaded 'customs fee' & it ain't cheap! I am still required to declare everything I bring back to Canada to the border agents - when driving back up. But the point being - it's way cheaper this way & I save quite a bit in duty & fees! We're continuing to keep free storage until the border opens back up." A sign of just how much the backup of parcels was occurring! Look at the ports of most waterfront cities today - major backlog of shipping containers stuck on ships unable to dock because of labour issues brought on by the pandemic. Sorry but you might not get your Christmas present from Santa this year. I'm so ever grateful to MBI, that all my orders were well taken care of. I picked up everything I ordered over the last 20 months with no issues! Keep in mind that with each coming month a new Coronavirus variant is being discovered - which could mean even more border restrictions!!! So act now or be subject to variant #54, virus #27 & wave #95 restrictions!!! Yikes! The only thing that I MIGHT knock them for is the fact that they're only open Monday thru Saturday 8am-5pm. That can be extremely inconvenient for me at times. Other than that this place is great!! Located rite off the freeway so it's super easy to find & get in & out of. There's a lowered docking bay for the moving trucks & a ground level one next to that for customers so you can back your vehicle rite up to the building & where their flatbed hand carts are located, then the elevator is just a short 6ft roll away from the docking bay. There is a bathroom located within the office that you'll be allowed to use if you just ask the staff. I have shown up here many a time JUST before closing & never have I been turned away. They will let you into their facility all the way up until 4:58pm (they close at 5 but you'd need a couple minutes to make it to your unit & either take out or drop off whatever it was you were there for LoL) One weekend I reorganized my whole unit; was working in it up until closing both nights & what was great was the staff would give me updates when it was getting close to closing that way i had enough time to put all my boxes that I had moved out into the hallway back into my unit. At 30mins til Stephanie, the girl at the front desk would walk up to my unit on the 2nd floor & let me know it was 4:30pm. She would do the same at a quarter til & when I had just 5mins before they closed she would flash the overhead lights twice to signal to me times almost up. Great people!! Quality units! Variety in size & affordably priced!!
