ICAs egen hallonsylt är överlägset bäst och den finns så klart här också. Trots de generella prisökningarna senaste 1-2 åren tycker jag de har ett hyfsat prisläge, och gurkan är ofta billigare här. Fräsch grönsaksavdelning! Trevlig personal och har något blivit fel, som att defärska hallonen var mögliga när jag kom hem eller att jag glömde 10 kattmatsaskar på varubandet och undrade vart de tagit vägen när jag packade upp, så fixas det smidigt. Postavdelningen har också blivit mycket effektivare.

Unfortunately, the day we chose to do it was rainy and foggy so our views weren't very good. It wasn't at the top of our list of things to do, so we kept it until the end of the trip and the weather wasn't cooperating. This did mean we got to do it by ourselves though. It is a pretty cool thing to experience. The sphere you're in rotates as you go up so that you remain flat. It's nice that it's entirely glass. It's a different way to get a good view which is why I think it was worth it. The location doesn't provide quite as good of views as we got elsewhere though. All in all, I'm glad we did it and I think it's a cool thing to experience.

Norrmalm is a city district in Stockholm, part of the larger Norrmalm borough. I had the great fortune of being hear on Christmas Eve and although sunlight was limited to four hours the city was alive. I would make sure I got pictures of St. Joseph's Church at night, the Royal Opera House, Sergels Square, and Helgeandsholmen Island's Parliament Building. The Arlanda express train drops you in the center of the Norrmalm and when you arrive you can pretty much walk to all the major attractions. Stockholm is a bit expensive but there is a huge assortment of restaurants and pubs open until the wee hours.

With four days to explore, I took advantage of it starting with a walking tour the first evening of my arrival that brought me through Gamla Stan. The next day, a food tour through Norrmalm and Ostermalm. I walked Sodermalm and Djurgârden. I rode the metro a dozen times to as far away as Solna - the modern metro system is easy to use and inexpensive. Friendly people everywhere. English spoken everywhere. Great food and drink. Lots of history and culture to see including artifacts, artworks and pop music. The city itself is clean. I did not spot graffiti anywhere. I did not see trash on the ground. When I was walking around at night, I did not feel unsafe. I had a grand time in Stockholm and look forward to returning one day. This was a great visit! Rare is it for me to project any place outside of the United States that I could see myself making a life for myself within. Stockholm is such a place. THE SETUP I flew in to spend time with friends for a few days, and then to take off on a cruise for seven days, and then returned to Stockholm to finish out my Northern European trek.
