I went to my first class and didn't love it. It was too intense and my body couldn't handle it. I used to do functional fitness training and absolutely loved how strong it made me, but after having a baby, my body just wasn't the same and I knew I would be risking injury if I continued. Unfortunately I also came down with a cold the day after my first class (thanks to my baby) and I only had a week left of the 21 day challenge by the time I felt better. So I asked the owner for a refund (and told him Id even be happy to pay for the one class I attended and he could give me a partial refund). I am a fair person and didn't want to take advantage by asking for all my money back since I knew it cost them some time to deal with me signing up, etc. He told me he would extend me an extra week but would not give me a refund. After I explained that I did not actually want to workout there again, because it was not a good fit for me, he explained his ridiculous scam of a refund policy and quit answering my texts. The policy is that even if you hate it, you have to go to a minimum of 3 classes per week for each week of the 3 weeks in order to get your money back if you don't like it. If you get sick, too bad. If you get injured, too bad. If you decide Olympic style lifting isn't your thing, well, that's ok- just do it 8 more times to prove to yourself how much you hate it and then you'll get your money back. As you know, it's pretty ludicrous to ask someone to engage in an activity they dislike 9 times in order to prove that they dislike it. If you're really not into eggplant for example, are you really going to eat a plateful of eggplant 8 more times, just to make sure? I hope nobody else falls for this scam. This is a crappy way to treat someone who wants to try out your gym. I could have just paid a drop in fee and not left almost $100 on the table. Take your money elsewhere, to a place where they won't take advantage of you and will treat you fairly.

I'm one of those people who go the gym and stare at a machine for a while and eventually leave and do my workouts at home via videos, etc. This class definitely changed my mind and now I'm coming in 2-3 days a week! :) We came in on a Monday morning a couple minutes after 12 and met with Chuck, who was very friendly and welcoming. Everyone had already left to do the warm-up run around the business park, so my friend and I were asked to get on the rower machine (it was my first time!) and Chuck gave concise and easy to follow instruction on how to use it. We saw the rest of the class coming back and we all gathered together. I could see that there were people of different competency levels in the class and honestly, that made me feel a little bit uneasy. But once we got into the workouts, I was so pumped! Everything is tailored to each individual's capabilities. Chuck stressed on using the right form, not overdoing it, going at your own pace. I never felt pressured to keep up with everyone. Chuck evaluates everyone and will push you when you need to be pushed because he knows you can do it. I can't wait to go to today's class!
