Despite the bad reviews I really wanted to give this place a chance. Upon entering I noticed that this place is in desperate need of a renovation. Or a deep cleaning at the very least. The floors and walls are very filthy. The egg sandwich I got was pretty good. But I still can't get over how filthy the place is. I honestly believe if they cleaned the place up and did some minor renovations it would get much better reviews. The place has potential but some work needs to be put into it. read more

There's a Deli and then there's a Delicatessen. Pot Belly Deli is a Delicatessen it's a place you're greeted as soon upon entrance. You can sit and enjoy or take out and feel like a local. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. This is a place you should go a little out of your way for your deli fix. There's a variety of homemade salads, lunch and dinner platters along with the specialty and standard heroes. On this day I went for breakfast. My order was the Breakfast Hero- The Hungryman and a legit Hungryman has potatoes on it; Potbelly adheres to the guidelines. This Hungryman was made with an almost OCD standard. unwrapped, no cheese stuck to the foil paper, the scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection the meats wrapped around in a precision breakfast sammich tactility around the aforementioned eggy wegs. The hero roll was soft yet still chewy. True quality and magically delicious. Potbelly should have a banner for top ranking Suffolk County Breakfast Champions. Potbelly's an early contender for Best of '10 B'kfst Sammich ranking in my book. Don't sleep on this easily missed strip mall location. *The coffee was drinkable if it was stronger this might have leveraged them an extra star. read more

Pot Belly Deli is great! Thanks to my fellow yelper reviews for helping me find this place. The counter staff were very friendly and took our order immediately. I had the Chicken Hero (#4), it was terrible (nutrition wise). That being said, the sandwich was truly amazing. Slices of grilled chicken, bacon, American cheese, and mayo on a huge hero. I loved it! Pricing is very competitive with other local delis. They have a nice seating area and the place wasn't overly crowded. The salads looked delicious but I was already full from the hero. I will definitely be back to Pot Belly Deli to explore their menu further. Definitely recommended. I put up a few pictures if the deli for you also! Enjoy. read more

Enjoyed the food today. Ordered the Hungry Man hero (3 eggs with Sausage, Ham, Bacon, Potatoes & Cheese on a Hero).... asked for light salt & pepper and ketchup on the potatoes only. Received exactly as ordered, and the man behind the counter stated "best Hungry Man on LI".... Picked up a BLT with Cheese and Mayo on a roll for my wife, and she was pleased with it as well. The pops brought me to the area to help work on a project over the summer. This was our lunch spot for our guys every day we were there. Appearance (Neat) I love when a place can show who they are without having props in the customers' way. Great look, you can easily see what is physically available to find what you would like. Plus the mini signs all over are very neat, colorful and easy to read. Service (Great) Very friendly staff, will to put that extra touch to make your meal perfect. We ordered sandwiches and drinks. After stacking everything neatly into a box, they even gave us extra iced tea for free so we won't be too thirsty. Quality (Great) The taste here is just great, you can really tell what you are eating and all the ingredients within your mean. Been passing this deli for a year on my way to work and today I was in the mood for a hungry man. I figured I would give it a try. I am always shy of trying a new deli for the hungryman because I don't eat them often and so much can go wrong with one. They were friendly, polite and fast. The sandwich was perfect. Eggs cooked perfect and just the right amount of ketchup and neatly made. I recommend this deli for your morning stop. Bought a Tuna sandwich and it was disgusting! It tasted very fishy and you could smell it from outside the bag it came in. Returned it and got my money back. Something was not right with the tuna. Do not get the Tuna! read more

Have not been to this deli in years, decided to stop by this morning because I had to drive by anyways.. the breakfast sandwich was perfect. eggs were cooked perfect, the meat was perfect. the staff were friendly and they were quick. So Glad we stepped out to try a new place. We originally had our breakfast place on lock, as in, were never going to change it. However, today was my first experience with this establishment. To be quite honest breakfast was awesome. I enjoyed a B.E.C on a roll while my colleague had the breakfast wrap with Egg, Chopped Bacon, Sausage and Cheese . We both could virtually find nothing wrong with our breakfast. Oh... and the plus? The price. Prices are outstanding. We were paying close to double the price for our breakfast elsewhere. This place was much better when it was Brothers Deli or something like that. Lots of specialty sandwiches for your choosing. I ordered a grilled chicken with swiss and honey mustard and got some spicy chicken that remined me of chicken vindalo (indian spiced chicken). not really what I had in mind when I ordered it.....but I did eat it. read more

I am a regular customer of this deli and it never fails to amaze me. Their food is always fresh and so good. There have been times that I had to wait for quite a bit for my food, but the wait has always been worth it! Their breakfast menu is all good of course, but surprisingly so are their hamburgers. Drove by and saw this place and thought "Please let this place be different than the other deli's around town!" It was worse. First they have music blaring over a boom box sitting on one of the refrigerated cases. Second the hot food in the case was the same crap they serve EVERYWHERE. Chicken Parm, Chicken Marsala, Chicken this, Chicken that, Meatballs swimming in burnt looking sauce. WHY DOES EVERY DELI SERVE THE SAME CRAP??? Then I had an ehhhhhhhh egg sandwich.
