Kielbasa has been a staple in my diet since I met my wife and not long ago, our favorite Kielbasa place shut down and with it went my much beloved Kielbasa until now! Was in town for legal reasons, and found Polka Deli on a whim. Amazing! Would recommend for people looking for authentic polish deli.

My dad always would rave about this place and I finally got the chance to stop by. They have street parking and it wasn't very busy in the area. I walked in and all the Polish foods and pastries looked absolutely beautiful. The girl behind the counter explained what everything was and she was so sweet. I ordered the beet soup, the color looks intimidating but let me say it is AMAZING. A new favorite of mine for sure. And of course I had to have the keilbasa and sauerkraut. That was also so good! Then I saw these long bread sticks. The lady behind the counter told me they had cheese ones and apple ones. I am not sure what they're called but I had the cheese one. It was almost like a desert. Sweet ricotta cheese inside and oh my lord, I was in love. If you are use to going to Brooklyn for authentic Polish food but you live on Long Island. This is an amazing place to try if you don't want to travel. I would say it may even be better! I am in love with all the food here. read more

I've been coming here since I was a kid. I live 40 minutes away so it was usually after the Polish Festival, or visiting my great grandparents graves, or just a random trip to the deli. The best and most authentic polish food on Long Island. We celebrated my daughters first birthday this weekend. The food from Polka Deli (the deli has a new name under new ownership) was phenomenal. My guest were amazed by how good, fresh and tasty everything was! And it made my heart smile. I ordered staffed cabbage, bigos, kielbasa, pork lion in horseradish sauce, chicken Marsala, turkey meatballs, pierogies, pork shoulder with veggies, blitzes, potato wedges. Everything was amazing. I wont order from anywhere else for my holidays, parties and even dinner with friends! Why cook at home if you can easily say that you made it lol - it taste so good. I recommend Polka Deli for 100%, Anna puts her heart into it and you can taste it in her food. Wisla Delicacy Deli (WDD) is a Polish deli that serves hot food, sausage, and Polish goods. Everything in the hot food section is good such as the meatball with gavy, dumplings, crepes stuff with sweet cheese. They have a huge selection of sausage. The only one I have tried is the Kabanos, there long skinny sausage. They have a good smoke flavor and has a nice snap to them. Great to bring along as a snack. The lady that works the front was very friendly and helpful. If there something your not sure of, just ask. Whenever I'm visting Long Island, I make sure I make a stop at WDD. read more

I have been traveling east for this store for 5 years. New owner has kicked it up a notch. Soups, prepared foods are incredible. I always spend at least 50 dollars and have 3-4 meals. Deserts are also great. Fridays are very busy but still worth the wait. Don't pass this one by. read more

Passed by many times but this is the first time I stopped in to check out Wisla's deli. The outside of the store is not appealing but once you walk in it's loaded with Polish foods and goods. Tough decision on what to buy for lunch with so many choices. The pierogies were excellent stuffed with potatoes and cheese. We also tried the stuffed cabbage and cabbage and meat(hunters stew?). The hot dishes do not have descriptions so ask the woman that works there to describe dishes if you are not familiar with Polish food. They also have a nice assortment of meats. Behind the counter there are all kinds of cakes, breads and pastries. We tried an almond pastry that looks like a big croissant. That was really good. We will definitely stop in next time we drive by Riverhead. read more

The food was palatable but under seasoned. Generous portions for a very small amount of money. Eating there for the first time I tried a little of everything and nothing stood out as something I'd go back for. Also the clerk didn't know how to use the credit card machine properly and charged me $80 for an $8 bill then had to refund me and charge me again the correct amount. In the heart of Riverhead, NY's - "Polish Town" it has, some foods I've never heard of, but that's the beauty of a specialty deli. A highlight is the variety of kilbasi hanging with numerous varieties behind the counter. My last stop for lunch was excellent. The staff is very helpful. My wife and I shared I big piece of kilbasi & 6 pierogis with peppers and onions. That along with 2 cans of soda was only $8.25. I don't many places where you can feed a couple for less than $10 for lunch, but we sure did love it. Great food, great service and a delightful place to grab some Polish food. I was on jury duty and came out for a lunch break. I got two croquettes (one with meat, one with mushrooms) and two paczki donuts. Croquettes were nice but the donuts were a little stale, which they did warn me about since they were a day old (and so they sold me two-for-one). They have a nice selection of Kielbasa ranging from fresh (not smoked, my favorite), lightly smoked to well smoked. Their Stuffed Cabbage or Golabki are awesome.... the cabbage is sweet! Try Gerneral Polaski Beer..... my absolute favorite. read more
