I love cold cuts from Eastern European delicatessens. Therefore, I was excited to visit this particular shop while out visiting friends in Hampton Bay. When I walked into the shop, seeing the various types of sausages and kielbasas hanging put a major smile on my face. I ordered some of those, plus their meatloaf, cured bacon, as well as double smoked bacon. Honestly, the double smoked bacon may have been one of the best pieces of deli meats I have tasted in a very long time. The cured bacon was a very good second choice. Kielbasa was definitely worth buying as well, but the meatloaf I would skip. It wasn't bad, but it was coarser than I'm use to from Muncan in Ridgewood, where I have gotten my meatloaf for decades. In this part of Long Island, I never thought I would be able to find Eastern European cold cuts. Now that I have found them, it will be a regular shopping stop for whenever I'm visiting friends in the area. read more

Been coming here for years to get my hotdogs and kielbasa. Their in house meats and food are top notch. Get some perogies or stuffed cabbage off their hot bar and jump on the blueberry custard cake if it's available. The girls behind the counter are always friendly and will help you with any questions you may have. After sampling the street fare at the Riverhead Polish Festival my mom and I wanted to bring some Polish food home for the rest of the family, so we decided to stop into Euro Deli to grab some provisions. This is a tiny, super busy deli located right on the main strip of Riverhead. It has all the Polish staples I remember growing up eating, freshly baked and homemade. We decided to get two packs of cheese pierogi which were on the sweeter side, mushroom and sauerkraut pierogi, babka, kielbasa and head cheese. For the kielbasa, you really need to know what you're ordering since the menu is in Polish, but the people working here are helpful and happy to answer any questions you may have. The ambiance of this place is very much giving Polish deli, as advertised. All of the food we ordered (which was a lot) came to $72, which is decent and typically what we spend on a traditional Polish meal at Polish butchers closer to our home. My family have been coming to Euro Deli for a few years now. This is the only place we purchase Kielbasa from. Worth the drive out east! Parking on the street shouldn't be too much of an issue. The prices are excellent and all of the food sold is extremely AUTHENTIC! There are all sorts of snacks and little treats. Fresh breads, rolls & pasties are a plus. They also sell pierogies and already made soups/meals. The staff are helpful and friendly. They have suggested some delicious items to us! Our whole family loves this place. We usually purchase items such as krajna kielbasa, double smoked kielbasa, meatloaf, sliced ham, sliced turkey or cheese at the deli. They have authentic, delicious, homemade stuffed cabbage, stuffed peppers, cabbage with kielbasa and pierogi. The savory and sweet blintzes are delicious. Our children love their chicken cutlet with mashed potato and side salad but my husband and I love it as well. Every Friday they have pickle soup and we make sure we buy it when we go. My husband typically goes to make the purchase and whenever he comes home with a new delicious dish, it is because someone at the deli offered a sample. Just recently he brought home a dish with buckwheat groats, cabbage and kielbasa.It was so tasty. They have a nice deli selection and carry many of our staples, like Vegeta,and pickled items. Products are good, especially the prepped station goodies. Try their simple staple, the breaded cutlet or fish for the tasty crusty coating. One thing I do not care about though, is the stuck-up attitude of the not-so-then customer friendly counter girls who want you to explain 5 times to different people why you are returning something that is not up to par (as rare as it may be). Omg!! The best homemade kielbasa around. I drive many miles from my home to purchase their kielbasa. Many to choose from. Seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of snap in the casing. After having their kielbasa you'll never buy the brand the supermarket sells ever again. Very different. They are an ethnic deli so you can also find all kinds of Polish and European delights including homemade pierogis. I use the kielbasa to make Kupusniak which is a kielbasa soup and sauté the pierogis in a pan with butter and onions and serve that on the side with sour cream. Awesome! They also sell cold cuts and have a few chafing dishes going for take out hot lunches or dinners. Absolutely mouthwatering and delicious. Give this place a try. read more

I love this place! The meats are superb and fairly priced. Excellent quality. All my favorite products from Poland are usually available. Homemade pierogies frozen to cook at home are also very good. This place is a hidden Gem in "Polish Town" in Riverhead New York. I found this place on Yelp as well as others and thought this was my best shot because the others were too Americanized. I was looking for Pirogen or in Polish Pirogi. I found exactly what I was looking for!!! HOME MADE FRESH PIROGEN!!! I bought many packages and also the cheese blitzes HOME MADE FRESH!! The Pirogen are excellent! I recommended her this place and she literally bought out the store if all the fresh made Pirogen they had just made. I am a Pirogi maven since both my parents were born in Poland and my Jewish heritage spans centuries in this country until the rise of Hitler and the horrid mass execution which took place in Europe, particularly Poland. The bottom line is that they make first rate Pirogen and its definitely with a try!! Tip, in the summer time they have blueberry Pirogen. Wish they would fill and pack them with much more blueberries though. read more
