I was worried after reading the many negative reviews, but filling my new prescription at this pharmacy went smoothly. Doc called in prescription on Monday. I left voice message on Tuesday to check on status. I received a call back on Wednesday to confirm my information and to let me know the prescription would be ready the following Monday. Horrible experience from the first phone call. My dr had called me in a Rx for HTR. The pharmacy called to collect my payment to process the request. Never was I informed on process of the making of the rx or even when it would be ready. About a week went by and I called to find out the status- I was given a lame excuse that they had switched system and they were really behind on orders. I then asked if anyone was going to go over my allergies. She said "oh what are they and I'll give them to the pharmacist" -only documenting a fraction of my allergies. Finally pick up my rx about a week later since it wasn't ready when originally promised (Friday by 1pm). Start taking the rx for a few days and start to develop a reaction. Call the pharmacy to find out the key ingredient to the rx is a food I'm highly allergic to. Nothing they'll do to help out with my loss of $125 for an error they made. I would never have filled the rx had I been told/given a list of ingredients. First of all, they (quite literally) DO NOT answer the phone, unless you are a provider. Second, they DO NOT return voicemails, even though their answering machine says they do. Third, they WILL NOT notify you when your prescription is ready, OR that they have received an order from your provider. Bottom line: the lack of customer service is so significant, it diminishes the value of whatever compounding services you may looking for. A further commute to another compounding pharmacy will leave you far less frustrated; the folks who run this place don't concern themselves with customer service or satisfaction. Personally, in exchange for the headache that comes with working with them, I think most folks would rather drive a little further to another compounding pharmacy, than to be treated as a non-priority and an inconvenience, instead of as a paying customer as they should be. read more

Great Compounding pharmacy! I have been using them for years. They make custom medication that aren't commercially available and they help me avoid ingredients I'm allergic to in many medications. They also work with my insurance on the medication my insurance will cover which is better than all the compounding pharmacies I have used previously. I love that they will fedex your prescriptions to you for added convenience. They make the pills after you order them, it will take days but that is completely normal for compounding pharmacies. read more

Such terrible customer service, they do not answer the phone, do not return messages if you get through then treat you like you did something wrong. No apologies or concern for customer service. They speak to you with a condescending attitude, each one gives a different answer, first they didn't get the prescription then it's we don't do that anymore. I have been using Potters House for at least 5 years and it is time to move on. This place gets worse and worse on their turn around times, their attitude, and the prices keep going up. My doctor called in a pain medication for me a week ago. I had to call them to find out when I could get it filled. The person who helped me sounded annoyed and like I was bothering her. When my doc calls in a prescription for me time is of the essence. When I asked if I needed to find another pharmacy her response was "well you can certainly do that", not, "no ma'am, we will get you taken care of". They are now cost prohibitive and just plan horrible in regards to customer service. read more

If you are considering using Potter's Pharmacy, please take my experience as a serious warning and find literally anywhere else. This is not the only review they have been left expressing the same repetitive issues and behavior. I will be reporting my experience to the Arizona Board of Pharmacy as this experience reflects deeply unprofessional and unethical handling of prescriptions and patient care, even with the CEO himself "unwilling" to provide any sort of understanding or viable solution to the situation I experienced below. I chose Potter's because my insurance no longer covered my medication, and I needed to pay out of pocket while waiting for prior authorization. My doctor sent the prescription on September 24, and on October 1 I received a call from Potter's to confirm my payment and shipping address. I verified my current address carefully since my doctor's office had previously listed an outdated one. After being told it would ship in two days, I received a call on October 3, the day it was supposed to ship and was informed it would not ship until October 7. When I finally received tracking information, I saw they had sent to the wrong (outdated) address. On October 9, I called Potter's to explain the situation. After being placed on hold for 17 minutes, I was hung up on. I called five more times that day, each time leaving a voicemail, but never received a return call. After additional attempts on October 11, I eventually got through. I explained the error to the representative, who then claimed I that she spoke to the technician and that I hadn't provided the correct address. I asked her to check any available recordings of our previous conversation to confirm the information I provided as I would not have given my old outdated address. She informed me they do not record calls and believe the technician and that after consulting the CEO, he was not willing to "take the financial loss" and informed me I would need to repurchase the medication and the most they would do is offer a slight discount. I requested they please consult the CEO once more, she said she would and would call me back. As of October 24, 13 days later, I still haven't received any call back or further communication, replacement, or refund for the $175 I already paid. Due to Potter's Pharmacy's lack of accountability and refusal to resolve their own mistake, I am now at a 30-day lapse in my medication. If you are looking for a pharmacy that values accuracy and customer service, please think twice before choosing Potter's Pharmacy. read more

This place is the worst. If I could leave a zero star review I would. My family member had a prescription sent here that we ended up canceling. However we were told a few days later that our prescription was ready for pickup. We then tried calling several times the next few days to cancel the prescription again and could not get ahold of anyone. We were put on hold and then never picked up. We eventually went into the store and I spoke to the manager (older woman) who made us feel like this was our fault and that they did nothing wrong. I get that they can't typically give refunds after making the medication but this happened after we already canceled. Ended up paying over $100 for something we did not need or want. read more

I have been going here for over 10 years and never had an issue until about 3 months ago or so. They stopped returning calls and texts for prescription refills were missed. Apparently they updated their software system but I'm thinking 3 months is more than enough time to work through the glitches and they are still having issues. Plus, they decided to inform me the day I sent my refill request that they could no longer accept my insurance. Isn't that nice 6 days before Christmas!! I have been working with Potter House for throces for hormonal issues for 5 years. They do have problems. First they change delivery companies often. Second, in 2024 they did not answer phone for at least a month; stating software updates. Had to get the compounded throces from Civic center in Scottsdale; those made me very sick due to them adding stevia to the flavoring part. Lost 140.00 from Civic Center in Scottsdale since once I took the 10 of 90 day supply got sick. By that time Potter House had fixed their "software problems". Went back to Potter House and my Dr had already placed an order for throces which they said they would save until they got up and running again. They did save the prescription and I was able to get them delivered. Now, it is July 7, 2025 at 4:38PM and the throces should always arrive by noon on the delivery date. Talked to Abbey I have never talked to her before and she and the email said they would be delivered today. No delivery by UPS as of 4:40 PM today. The throces are heat sensitive and it is 103 here today in Glendale. Obviously, Potter House has internal issues that need to be monitered by someone..just be careful. read more

Garbage pharmacy.. don't care about patients or your medical need, my doctor sends medication here and not only do you have to pay out of pocket, they never have anything ready, don't inform you of anything, make you wait DAYS for medication even after you pay for it. I switched to them after moving here from out of the area. There is something wrong with the management of this place. They almost NEVER have my refill ready on time. There is ALWAYS a delay. An excuse. No matter how many days/weeks advance notice. They have no concern that you're out of your meds for a week or two. Not even I'm sorry. Cost is $50 more than my old company too. So frustrated. I've tried being patient. Done everything on my end to get it on time. But they are immovable. Tried to pick up my RX today and was in line behind others also not getting their RX. Don't send your Rx here! They don't call you back on time. They don't fill the scrip on time. They text you that your order is ready, five minutes before they close on a Friday night before the long holiday weekend. They close five minutes early every day, so if you're trying to get there at the end of your workday, and show up at 5:59 and it's too late. Even while trying call three times before they close that you're on your way and they just send it to voicemail. There's SO much more that I could list... Just go somewhere else that values you as a customer.... read more

Don't fill prescription requests on time, never return calls and never answer calls. No response to text messages.

First of all they do not answer the phone then when you leave a message that is supposed to be returned by the end of business day, but of course that did not happen. Finally got through when I entered the physician number. My prescription was supposed to be ready on Monday I went on the following Thursday, no prescription for me the "person" forgot to "push the button". So I asked to have my prescription mailed to me. When I voiced my displeasure at their incompetence and their I can only assume was the manager refused to fill my prescription. I also told other customers to go to Monroe pharmacy which actually answer their phones and a quarter of the price! Incompetence is a totally true statement. As I stood in line 4 other customers were complaining of the same issue. Extremely poor customer service!!! read more

Last week I attempted to fill my prescriptions refill by using the text feature on my iPhone, all seemed to be going well even received a response that the script was in process. Four business days go by not including the weekend so that's 6 days total. the Customer Service Rep (CSR) tells me I need to PrePay for the script which I've never done prior. I attempted to educate the CSR by indicating that it is not customary to prepay anything making a retail purchase prior to item pickup or shipment... and by the way when will my script be Ready?... Next Tuesday that's another five days without the Meds... Ok, so it's now Tuesday going on Wednesday and another CSR calls back and says "We haven't filled your script yet since we now require all scripts to be prepaid... WTF!!! I ran into this situation previously this year where Potter's wanted payment in full upfront and they would run your credit card immediately then leave you hanging waiting till they create your compounded prescription in three to five days and pay them CASH$$$... Again WTF? Last year I never had this problem or issue with Potter's with the exception of very long lead times, the only this I can say is "Buyer Beware" My gut feeling is that the business is mismanaged and has s serious cash flow problem... Wonderful experience with Potter's thus far with a compounded RX. Am unable to travel to pick up, and was surprised this last refill when it reached me the following day. Unlike some posting here, I have always paid in advance for medications requiring compounding including those for my pets, which were not compounded by Potter's since we were not residents of AZ at those times. Also, I find the pricing of my particular compounded medication reasonble; it is no covered by my insurance. read more

I went to Potter's House for the first time two days ago. I was nervous because of the reviews and almost went somewhere else.... However, I'm glad I didn't! Everything went great! I called in a transfer and the tech got my information. She was very friendly and then I received two additional calls. The first was to notify me that the transfer was finished and I received a day and time the Rx would be done. The second call was to notify me of the cost. Then I received a message saying the Rx was filled and waiting.... No hiccups or complaints from me! I'd recommend them! For years I have used Potters to compound my medication. This week was over the top bad customer service hence the 2-star review... I called in my refill a week in advance (per their rules) and spoke to a tech who confirmed the dosage/refill etc. She informed me it would be ready that Friday. Normally they send a text message that the refill is ready to pick up. Friday there was no text, so I get up early Monday & call at 8am and was put on hold for over 10 min. So, I call back and the person tells me that the request was NEVER SENT TO THE LAB!!! 5 days later??? Moreover, they can have it done in 8 hours... Really? As a working person I am not available to pick up in 8 hours, I am WORKING and was ready to pick up in the morning. Tuesday morning arrive at 8am and the pharmacist tells me the lab compounded the medication TOO STRONG!?!?! She is having it redone and it will be ready by tonight... Sound familiar? The interior of the pharmacy is very roomy and very upscale. In fact, to me it is over the top. People who go there are typically sick or in pain. Instead of spending so much money on open dead space and upscale décor, lower the prices of these very costly medications!!! I personally don't need to feel like I am in a resort lobby to pick up a prescription. HELLO, it is a PHARMACY. It doesn't impress me that it is so beautiful inside. It seems very wasteful and useless. Just know that they are NOT open on weekends. They close at 6:00 during the week, which is inconvenient for many people who work and have to travel a distance to get to their location. They have never once answered the phone when I have called. I have to leave a message. Eventually they will call back, always the same day but not immediately. Often I am busy and have to take the call despite being busy!! It would be awesome if, as a business serving people, they picked up the phone at my convenience, NOT at THEIR convenience!! They require THREE DAYS notice to refill a prescription!! To me, that is excessive. I called for my first refill not noticing they require three days notice. We were headed out of town. I asked for a rush, but it was not guaranteed because they have to "make" the prescription. I don't think making my prescription would take more than 10 minutes. SO...two days later I called a few hours prior to leaving town to check on status. I was told it was ready. I was NOT notified it was ready!! It would have been wonderful if I was notified when it was ready because it was very inconvenient to pick it up just prior to leaving town versus hours earlier. I wish I had another option. Worst experience I've ever had with a pharmacy. They recently went through a computer upgrade, which I know can be frustrating. It's been a week and 1/2 since the upgrade and I'm still waiting for the medication I requested 3 week ago. They don't answer the phone so I have had to drive 30 miles 3 times to see if it was ready. I've been given 3 different times that the medication is supposed to be ready and surprise....it hasn't been ready. Today I was told it needed to be verified by the pharmacist and it would be 1/2 hours. I'm still sitting here an hour later. Still no medication. I asked the pharmacy tech again how long it would be and was told "it needs to be verified. I thought that's what was being done over the past hour. I don't get it. What do I have to do to get my medication? They have already debited my bank account and still no medication. Unfortunately this is the only place that my medication is affordable so I'm stuck with them. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

I really don't like to complain or leave bad reviews. I believe situations happen, go with the flow, be patient. I've been using Potter's House since sometime after they opened in 2009. I've been very happy with my compounding prescription. However, my complaint is "RELIABILITY" Too many times I've been told what day my prescription will be ready. Only to drive out to them, and it's not ready! They usually take at least 5 days. Because they typically are not reliable, I always plan at least 8 days, not including weekends. Today, I went to pick up my prescription. I was told it would be ready on Monday. So I went on Wednesday, 2 extra days! NO PRESCRIPTION! They had absolutely NO refill order. I personally made the refill order over the phone with a live human, hoping it would up my odds of getting my prescription BEFORE I LEAVE FOR MY TRIP! Too many times in the past I've accounted for extra time before travel, only to have them tell me it isn't ready! As I walked out there door just now, I'm leaving Potter's House. And sadly leaving this review. Just made a call to my Dr. to have her call my prescription into Carefree Compounding & Wellness time to move on! read more

I waited 3 weeks for my RX to be filled. My Dr. called them many times to confirm my RX. I called 5 times to confirm my RX pick up. Lack of customer service and phone calls. Tera tried to help. I was promised a certain day for pick up. My Rx was still not ready. All of my friends have gone to a competitor as well. Drs. no longer recommend this pharmacy.
