(We stayed so long on the rooftop that we had to take the elevator down and be escorted out of the gallery.) I do wonder how many high end furniture/design places can survive here. They showed up to install the pool at 5 pm on a Tuesday evening. They did not use all the sand asked for and left it piled on my grass. The installer was very unprofessional with me when he said we may need more sand, why the did not use what was there he said it would not help. They were unable to complete the installation and left at 1030pm, said they would need to return to complete. We waited 2 days an not on person showed up to finish. They had not even installed the skimmer and return for the filter system. Matt Hale told us to start filling the pool and he would get someone to install the items. The liner had not been stretched and there were creases and wrinkles all over. Being on a water well filling was taking a long time. Lord and behold the storms came and the pool collapsed. We contacted Family Leisure about this and Matt Hale said that it was not their problem anymore and to file a claim with my homeowners insurance. Family Leisure did say they would come and change things out for $4,700.00 pluss. Needless to say I will never use or recommend this company again or to anyone for the service we were provided. The cart I was pushing had a map of the store, which was very helpful. While I didn't walk through furniture or big items, I noticed a massive amount for both indoor and outdoor. I originally purchased two items, but when I went to schedule pickup, only one item appeared on my receipt. After resolving that issue, I discovered the painting I purchased wouldn't fit in my car. I attempted to rent a truck, but due to Memorial Day, none were available. I called the store four separate times for assistance and follow-up, and no one ever returned my calls. Frustrated by the lack of communication, I drove over 30 minutes to the store--only to find out they had sold my painting to someone else. While my salesperson did apologize, the overall experience reflects extremely poor customer service. To make matters worse, one of the sales associates claimed he had called me, which was simply not true--I never received a call. After more than a decade of being a customer, this was incredibly disappointing. Mistakes happen, but what matters is accountability and making it right. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here. Mathis, you need to do better. Customer service should be a core value, not an afterthought. If you want, I can also make a shorter, more punchy version for Google/Yelp or a more formal escalation version to send to corporate.
