Stopped in for an early dinner after seeing the good reviews. Mine was a tiny bit saucy for me, but not a complaint. If I went back I'd ask for lighter gravy. The second best poutine I had in Canada, and I had ten of them. My family loved the cheeseburger poutine but I liked the original better. Delicious gravy, good fries, could use more curds but they were great too. It's just a walk up counter but it was quick enough. read more

Summary: the food was great and the staff was friendly. We stopped here on a recent trip to AB/BC and it made for a pleasant part of an otherwise stressful day. We had been trying to find a good local poutine spot after trying it at fast food places and Costco and passed this while exploring Kootenay National park. The shop has a small inside area with enough room for a few people to wait for their orders so it's a bit cozy, but the staff are friendly and so a short wait for the food was pleasant. The food itself was great. I got the shepard's pie poutine and my wife got the normal poutine, both with crispy fries. We talked with the owner while the food was getting made and she suggested we try the carrot cake as well, saying it was "the best". Now, for the sake of my marriage I will say that my wife's carrot is better, but she and I both agreed that the carrot cake here was really damn good. Probably the best I've had at a restaurant. Our poutine orders were very good, and the shop lived up to its name. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, the gravy and cheese curds were perfect, the only issue we had was that we weren't hungry enough to finish the normal order size. And being that we were staying in a cheap hotel we didn't have the tools to properly reheat them. While we live like 1,500 miles away, this has been added to the list of places we will come back to if we find ourselves in the area again. read more

Awesome, fresh, and hot. Husband and I needed a snack and had to decide on one poutine to share. We got the Smokie poutine with Yukon gold fries. It was awesome. We couldn't even wait for it to cool down to eat and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Will definitely come back to have a different variety of poutine. The fries were crisp and did a good job with the wonderful tasty brown gravy. The smokies were grilled and cut up into bite size pieces so you could get a bite of everything together. Would have a photo, but it tasted too good to pause for a picture. read more

Absolutely fantastic! We've been coming back to this place for a few years now. It was originally a food truck, but now has a permanent location. It is an exceptional poutine with so many varieties to choose from. Get the crispy fries - with your order- that's the best way! We've tried Butter Chicken, Pulled Pork, The Queen's, Original, bacon Cheddar, and Bacon Cheeseburger. They have all been great! There isn't anywhere to eat in - but you can enjoy it outside on the picnic tables or take it to go for a Lake meal. We love this place - quick and so filling! My only critique is that I wish they offered half orders of all the varieties! read more
