Miller has been my go-to, for paint, so I visited this location. I know things about furniture finishes and compatibility because I have made some of my own furniture. On interior and exterior home finishes, Miller knows more than me. The staff were very knowledgeable. What I learned is that stain-sealer over a different product does not work. They suggested a finish remover applied with water, including rain, letting it dry, then the new stain. They knew the strengths and weaknesses of different product choices. They even volunteered to look up and apply a discount. Miller has been in operation since 1890 and is employee owned!

When I went in to buy my paint, they mixed everything up and tried to up-sell me on everything. The total cost came out to almost $600. I told them my budget was $300 and they proceeded to tell me that I was basically SOL because they already mixed the paint. So, we went through our shopping list and were able to get the bill down to about $400 by not buying top of the line everything (which they had recommended). Then, when I needed to get more primer, I went to Home Depot and found out the exact same primer was $15.98. I paid $25.40 (with my discount!!!) at Miller. Same exact product. That's just not right.

He had no problem mixing my one gallon before closing and I left with a minute or two to spare. Either hire better people or train the ones you have in appropriate customer service skills.

First visit, I ordered online, the cashier told me to just call them next time since purchasing online cost more (not exactly sure about that, haven't compared prices). Then I went back for more paint because... I don't know what I'm doing and wasted a lot of paint. The 2nd time around, I asked many more questions and asked for tips. I was also trying to coordinate with my partner over the phone while in store with an employee helping me. - The employee so patient and understanding with me being on the phone. They then proved their patience with me going to my car and coming back inside THREE TIMES with more questions. Prices are reasonable, the tools sold there are about the same price as Ace Hardware. The employees are super nice and so very helpful. They had recommendations and answers for everything. There was no pressure to buy more or go for the more expensive option. They had tools that were on the price spectrum, there were cheaper options, midgrade and more expensive. They pointed out each tool, gave their rec and left it up to me to decide. I love that I can buy paint AND materials without feeling like I paid extra for materials because of the convenience. They get busy but they are also well staffed and take their time with customers. I never had to wait more than a few minutes. They also have some Spanish speaking staff and it sounded like they have good relationships with their Spanish speaking customers. Here's what I learned: -One quart of paint technically covers about 100 ft², but in reality, probably more like 60 to 80 ft², especially considering if you don't know what you're doing. My first mistake - getting one quart, 2nd visit, I definitely got the full size can. -After you're done painting use the rollers to go all in one direction one last time to avoid seeing any strokes. Stick with a matte color to especially avoid seeing any strokes. -If you're repainting a wall, it's best to paint the entire wall otherwise you might see the old paint versus the new.

I was told it was correct and came back to job to finish rolling the last bit. Today, after it dried overnight, the color is off, by one or two shades. I noticed they made it with the wrong base and called them to discuss it. The woman who answered was the one who mixed It, she knew she made it with the wrong base and that their machine was having issues but never told me. She thought it was close... Carpet is supposed to be installed today, and they won't do anything to help. Excite to send me on a 1-5 hour drive trip. I asked why they didn't just say they can't do the color right now and send me off. They've cost me so much money and messed my job up with a big delay. And they won't even send someone out to deliver me the tight paint. I see now they only have one star, I wish I had never walked in there.
