Class seemed a little easy at first, though it was my first time doing Tower Pilates (I have Reformer Pilates experience). Little did I know what a KILLER the leg exercises would be!!!! I was struggling to keep up with the routine a little bit, but that is always an indicator of a good workout for me. The instructor was also extremely attentive, performing the different exercises with us and walking around the studio to correct form. It's a small, intimate space but I like that the mood lighting and heightened attention to students adds to the experience. If was a very clean, well thought out space as well! I personally attended the studio through classpass, so I can't comment on the regular pricing, but I believe my class was 13 credits for a beginner/foundations level Tower pilates class. (13 credits is a lot for one class but I'm on the free trial of Classpass, so again, no comment!) This studio is also located in Bell Labs, which makes for a nice atmosphere before and after the class to check out other places in the area. I'm glad i got the chance to try this studio out!

The class wasn't easy, but I loved the challenge. Also, the small setting allowed the instructor to really focus on each of us so we could make the most of the workout. They do have an extensive array of cardio machines which is nice, certainly high tech ones at that. It's also a membership based gym, but you're paying for amenities like the pool, sauna, while extra payment is needed for personal trainers. I personally never used anything but the gym equipment here because I always come as a guests since my parents are members. They have some interesting process for guest members such as getting their blood pressure taken and I've seen guest clients be turned away temporarily because of it.

The atmosphere here was very friendly the gym is kept clean. The problem is clients who have unlimited time register for excess classes and your on a waitlist. So I had an accident and broke my hand I came in with my cast on and told them I need to be put on hold they will charge me $25 a month. I am already losing 2 classes, why charge me more. I said I wanted to cancel and filled out the paperwork. She said my manager is understanding she will work with you and call on Monday. She never called me, so Thursday I went back and told them she never called they said they will call her. Then Bianca the manager called back. She refused to work with me in any way. She told me it's corporate policy and there is nothing I can do. She told me if I did this for you then everybody would be doing it. ( Everybody would be breaking their hand??) My daughter goes to club Pilates in Colorado and was going on a trip told them she would need to be out. The manager told her no problem and was happy to accommodate her. But here in Howell with an injury no help. Needless to say I quit, but because it wasn't 30 days out they billed me a full month which for 4x is $129.00 with no access to classes!

The studio itself is beautiful and inviting. Our instructor Lizzie (also the studio manager) was fantastic! She took the time to explain the different exercises (a few of us were first-timers). She made us laugh while teaching us to do each movement correctly/safely. Dani, the owner, clearly has a passion for Pilates and creating a welcoming community.
