Started fine but she never came back around and the staff just huddled in the back corner. Meat pizza did its job but just average. I was excited to go and the atmosphere was great with a lot of K-State memories. Although our waitress was pleasant, she could have been more attentive as we both had empty water and were never offered more. Disappointed in the customer service. They forgot our order, got us most of our food after 1 hr 20 min. with the excuse that the kitchen was busy. Never got the appetizer. We watched other tables who came in after us get their food. The wait staff offered nothing other than the apology. The whole experience might not have stung so bad with the offer of a free meal (we had 6 meals) or free beverages (we weren't drinking alcohol). I'm a long time customer of Powercat. Today I paid my bill with a $100 bill. My bill was $23.57. When I gave it to the waitress I asked if they would take a $100 bill. She said yes and brought back $20. They insist I gave them a $20 bill and asked for change. Why would I give them a $20 bill and ask for change? As a final insult they demanded I pay my $23,57 bill. I paid the bill but I won't be going back again. I lost $80. They lost a frequent customer. I'm disappointed for both of us. read more

It was packed inside so we opted to sit on the patio. Food was good. Burgers. Pizza, Ruben and Pasta. Again great friendly service.Only suggestion I could offer would be fly zappers on the patio as they are rampant once you are served. read more

My wife had the waygu sarsaparilla burger and said it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. I had the Cajun blackened shrimp tacos with a side of chips and queso. My shrimp were a little over done and the queso didn't have a lot of flavor. Overall, it's a good place. Everything was clean and organized. Came looking to watch game 7 of the Stanley Cup and the final round of the College World Series to find rerun football games on the main tv and car race on two others. Eventually they moved the College World Series to a larger TV but it's hard to be a sports bar if you don't know what big games are on. The food was meh. I had chicken wings, which were large but lacked flavor - I had mango habanero. Also had a side salad, which was fine. The flavors of the food and burgers is just doing it extra enough that it's a level up on anywhere else I've been. jalapeño burger was great. getting loaded fries was delicious as fries stayed crispy to the table despite being covered with cheese, the loaded Mac n cheese was KILLER, and the fired pickles with jalapeño ranch was sooo delicious. We were visiting from out of town and are so happy to have stumbled across Powercat Sports Grill!! Our waitress was super attentive and friendly and we got our food relatively quickly! Very spacious bar & grill with lots of seating at the bar and around the restaurant. We opted for a few drinks, minus myself as I was the one driving, as well as crispy green bean fries for an appetizer. Waitress recommended pairing the jalapeño ranch with them, and it was the perfect duo providing the crispy green beans with a slight spicy kick! All of our entrees were top-notch as well! The pasta salad as a side was completely different than expected but by far better than a traditional take on the dish. The burgers were also huge and very filling with amazing taste! First time to Powercat and I had actually heard decent things about it. They have every sport playing so if you like watch curling and getting your eat on this is your place. We went at 7:45pm on a Friday and there was a decent crowd most the booths were full but tables were empty. I really liked my salmon which is why I gave this place 2 stars. I got the blackberry salmon salad and it was cooked well with ample toppings. My partner got the supreme pizza which did not look like anything special and he said was just okay. You'd be much better off going to AJ's for pizza (much faster too.) Most entrees were $10-15. What I didn't like was the wait and lack of a manager checking on tables and orders. We got our drinks and ordered our appetizer but then didn't see our waitress again until our appetizer was ready. We could see her standing by the kitchen. There was a couple seated near us who got up and left because it took so long to get their drinks. It seemed like the waitstaff also pulled double duty as hostess so there wasn't always someone by the door. It was by no means what i would qualify as busy. Once we finally put our order in, we were told twenty minutes later that the pizza was burnt and had to be recooked. We had to ask for my meal which probably would have just sat under the warmer the whole time. Thank goodness we got an appetizer. At this point I would expect a manager to come check in us as we had our order messed up and have been at the restaurant for an hour without getting our meals. For a place that serves pizza even personal size don't expect it to be quick. I think if management was more checked in and circulated more we would have had a better experience, they would have insured people had drinks, waitstaff was being timely and we would have felt valued as customers. I doubt they even knew how long we had been sitting there or that our order had a major error. No effort was made to discount check and we were even charged $.25 for asking for our jalapeños on the side of the nachos (appetizer) when it comes with it - classy! Unfortunately, this was our first time and most likely our last time at Powercat. Come for the sports but don't come here for good customer service. read more

We waited one hour and thirty minutes for our reserved tables that they "forgot" to put down for the night. we received confirmation emails, after making the reservation on the phone since it was a large group. once we finally were seated, the service was slow. not refilling water when we were pouring from pitchers ourselves. appetizers taking around 20 minutes to arrive after the 20 minute wait to order. taking our order for a helmet sampler, they didn't inform us they were out of chips but still charged for two full apps. it took maybe 2 mins after the appetizers our entrees came out giving us no time to eat our starters. the mac n cheese side was tasteless, chicken wasn't cooked all the way, and took forever for ranch. then took another 20 mins after all of us finishing our food to receive our checks which were not split correctly and no boxes were offered. read more

Lots of screen, a variety of seating types, and full bar. My Sandwich comes out and I'm a little let down on the size of the tenderloin. big enough to cover the bun but I'm use to bun buster ones. BOLD. One word to describe this restaurant. Everything designed in this place makes sense and draws your eyes to it. The TV's are placed where you'll see one at any spot you decide to sit at. The menu's are something I've never seen done. It's setup like a calendar. The food takes your traditional bar food but adds some twist to make it different. I ordered the Hawaiian Pit Master Burger. A burger that has smoked ham and pineapple added to it. It's HUGE. Fries were really good. Only small complaint is our waitress rarely came by and didn't refill our drinks until towards the end of our service. Price is just what you would expect to pay. We will definitely coming back here each game day we visit Manhattan. I just wished something like this was in Wichita. read more

Have been here a number of times and have learned a few things. First, the fried green beans are awesome! Everyone should try them. They have a ton of TVs and you can watch every game being played at the same time. Unfortunately, when they get busy the quality of the food and attention to detail suffers. Easy things like dressing on the side are overlooked and the salmon isn't cooked evenly. The vegetable side will be hot and the rice is cold. Unfortunately, the prices on the menu and on the website were not the same and the price I was actually charged was higher than both. My roommate and her boyfriend came here this weekend and ordered a burger and boneless wings, they came in okay timing but my roommate ate a whole boneless wing, thought it tasted funny and cut into the second one to find it was raw! Totally disgusting and inexcusable mistake. She felt sick for the rest of the night, ruined our evening plans. The waitress was apologetic and comped her meal, but the worst part is they still made them pay for the burger! They could be reported to the health department for this kind of violation and didn't even have the decency to comp the entire meal, offer free drinks, or anything. This quickly deteriorated. Once seated we were visibly ignored by 3 servers for More than 15 min with a toddler. After a 10 top was set and immediately offered drinks I asked the hostess who our server was. She went and visibly asked 3 servers who seemed annoyed with her for inquiring. I came here for the first time about a month ago and absolutely loved it! I got the salmon and my husband got the Cajun pasta and it was amazing and so was our server but we came in on Sunday and I wish I could say the same. My fruit cup was mostly spoiled fruit and my husband ordered a $35 steak which was very pricy but we figured it was probably worth it. Walked in at 1110am with my wife. Only one other table had guests and an older couple walked in behind us. We told front desk we were just stopping in for a quick drink for Cinco de Mayo. We were seated quickly, our server took our drink order and offered waters and appetizers. We told him we just wanted a quick drink and declined waters and appetizers. I asked if any specials for the Holiday, our server said he didn't think so but would ask bartender. He returned saying no specials for Cinco de Mayo, so we ordered double margaritas since we only had time for one drink. Drink order was promptly taken to the bartender. I watched as she took almost 10 minutes to start pouring our drinks, she had not poured any other between the time our order was taken to the bar and when she started pouring ours. I watched and counted 3 second pours in each of our glasses. Wait a minute, I thought we ordered doubles? I watched as she sluggishly poured the margarita mix and the drink wasn't even blended yet. Well, we were in a hurry, I didn't feel like getting charged for doubles when the bartender clearly poured single shot margaritas and glanced across the room to our server were ignored as he chatted with the other idle servers. My wife and I were wondering why it was taking so long as we glanced across the room at our server standing around an empty table with 4 other servers. Hmmm, he couldn't ask bartender for the drinks? We had told him and the hostess we were stopping in quick for a drink, doubles at that. Oh, did I mention the older couple sat at booth next to ours had still not received waters or drinks to their table at this time? I decided I didn't have time for that bologna not wanted to deal with sending back the single shot margaritas when I clearly asked for doubles. I told my wife enough is enough and we left. This was about 18 minutes into the order and the drinks were still not ready. Slow bar, unattentive service, wrong drink order or at least terribly small pours, no specials. 1 star. I won't go back. If you want a great burger, don't be fooled by the name Wagyu or the hefty price tag. It's still ground from what's trimmed off all the great cuts of beef, the leftovers, the waste! Unless it's ground from whole rounds or rumps or sirloins, trimmings will always taste like trimmings, stringy & flavorless, just like our burgers were Friday night! And when we both order similar burgers, & one is under 1/2" thick and overcooked & the other is almost an inch thick and under cooked so much the bun is bloody, there's a huge lack of consistency under the cooks hands, both in making the patties and in grilling them. Lucky I like rare beef or mine would of gone back to the kitchen! I raised quality beef for over 40 years and marketing these burgers as premium beef is an embarrassment and disservice to Beef breeders, specifically Wagyu breeders, who've worked hard to develop a prime beef animal. If your going to serve Wagyu, at least offer a filet or KC strip so your customers get what they deserve, an awesome cut of beef! read more
