A small but quaint mall. This mall feels like a not to an older period of shopping. The building is beautiful and the shops are really eclectic and offer many different types of shops. I really like the vibe great and the Christmas decorations are really nice. read more

As most of America are aware, mall culture is dying across the nation. Powerhouse Mall hasn't been spared from this plight. Inside is a well maintained and clean atmosphere. The mall is not completely desolate, as they are redoing the tiles on the floor, and there are still some shops open for business. However, most of the places are available for lease. Each time I return to the mall, most of the shops I remember from previous visits are no longer there. I must give Powerhouse Mall credit for hosting local fairs, having a hair salon, gym, random clothing boutiques, and an L.L. Bean store and outdoor gear store. They are still trying to maintain the nostalgic 2000s mall culture. Also they have beautiful decorations for Christmas. I really hope Powerhouse Mall survives and finds its way back to thriving like I'm sure it did not that long ago. read more

The Powerhouse Mall is an old mill that was turned into a cool mall. 2 levels of shopping. The powerhouse offers cool shops, boutiques, cafe's and restaurants. I love the cool wooden "cobblestones" bricks that make up the floor. The one big anchor store is LL Bean which I can get lost into looking at camping, skiing, and kayaking equipment. Its not a "real" corporate" mall which I like. It has a small New England feel to it. Less than 1 mile from the VT border in tax free NH. read more

I had some time to wait for next appointment so stopped at the mall because it was nearby. It was a good place to walk inside, although not the kind of shops I normally purchase items from. read more

First thing first. Great decor. I loved the paper lanterns. They were so neat, I just had to take a picture! LL bean, I rarely buy anything from here, its more like a come in and daydream about my outdoorsy "someday" adventures. Pretty nice & clean store, personally I prefer the Freeport location better (read: indoor pond!). There is also a EMS here to! The kids outdoor game sort of shop (I don't recall the name) had a lot of cool things to look at and Christmas presents that I could have bought for my nieces and nephews. Sweet somethings & Lindt chocolates (not technically in the mall) to cure a sweet tooth! There is also a yankee candle across the road from the Lindt chocolate shop. There are some "interesting" shops as well like one that sells violins and ballerina wear. Look up the other stores or come in for LL Bean and have a look around! Be warned tho: everything is a bit pricy in this mall! All and all it was a nice stop to do some window shopping after dinner. read more

The Powerhouse is what you would call a "non-traditional" mall, which is a good thing in many ways. This mall is free of all of the following: -Most of the chain stores you will see at every other mall in America (Macy's, Gap, fye, Claire's, Hot Topic, etc.) -Kiosk vendors who really, really want to sell you sunglasses or a wall calender -Loitering teens -Grumpy security guards In fact, I used to hate the Powerhouse back when I was a wannabe loitering teen. But now that I have matured (slightly), I must admit that it has some redeeming features, as well as some good stores: -The amazing old-fashioned sweets shop. EVERYTHING in this store is delicious, and you will want to buy a pound of it all. -L.L. Bean, for all of you die-hard New England outdoorsy types. They have good sales sometimes, too. -The toy/nature store that has everything from insect-catching supplies to historical coloring books. -Plenty of (rather frumpy) clothing stores catering to women my mom's age & older. But if you're looking for a tasteful gift for her or grandma, you should have no trouble here. And tax-free! Note: If you have a chance, try shopping here around Christmas. The decorations are nice, and the atmosphere of the old mill-turned-mall is festive and very pleasant- can you honestly say that about any other mall during the month of December?? read more

There's no clothing stores for young adults. My husband and I came here for something to do since we are from out of town and we were literally in and out of the entire mall in 2 minutes. read more

We love this mall! It has everything from a beautiful children's clothing store for our grandchildren to an excellent toy store with educational toys for every age. It's where my exquisite hair salon is located, my violin store, Clay's beautiful women's clothing store, and a chocolate shop that features wonderful jigsaw puzzles. Aside from EMS and LLbean, there really isn't much going on here. They need a food court or something... We only visit occasionally to shop in the ll bean and ems which are a bit pricey. Nice, clean mall thought, hopefully they will add more shops someday. read more

I love that powerhouse is still going strong. I spend a lot of time at Vermont Violins and the toy store across the hall, sometimes I am bad and buy some candy at the candy shop. I cannot stand cookie cutter simon malls, so this is a great place to go. The only real franchises are LL Bean and EMS. Even if you don't buy anything it is a nice place to walk around. read more

I can't believe this place is still open. The stores here are all overpriced and nothing special. LL Bean and EMS are probably keeping this place open. No food court or even a coffee shop and the restaurant (Lui Lui) isn't really even part of it. Outside of the holiday season this place is always dead. Nice architecture but other than that this place is a waste of time. read more

If you likewise aged women's specialty boutique stores, this mall is for you. It has two anchoring "chain" stores in LL Bean, and EMS. These two store are why we shop at the powerhouse mall. But the other stores are a little too "specialty boutique" with the boutique pricing to boot, for me to shop in any of them. read more

Impressed that the woman in LL Bean helping me find what I needed was more interested in being certain I found what I was looking for than making a sale. Her suggestions were constructive and appreciated. The products more than met my needs and the prices were reasonable. I find the staff a pleasure and they helped create a shopping experience instead of just another shopping trip. read more

Over priced, not much to look at or go through. Only real reason to stop is the lindt chocolate store just as you pull in.

The Powerhouse is "historical landmark" mall, which is a great thing. While it does not have a huge food court, or ladies spraying you with cologne. It does have the most important thing, local stores and small town character. This mall is free of large crowds, pushy sales persons, teens, or judgmental security guards and cameras. and is less than 1 mile from the VT border in tax free NH The mall is conveniently located just 2 mins off Highway 89 off exit 20. look for the big L.L. Bean signage and you cant miss it. Easy access too and from Hanover or Lebanon via HWY 12A. It has plenty of parking and multiple entrances and exits, so one could park anywhere. Power House Mall also shares its property with a few great restaurants, great for apres shopping hours, holidays, or meeting up with friends. The old fashion appeal continues with the 2nd floor mezzanine walkway (accessed via stairs or elevator) which hosts a number of small and interesting boutiques, restrooms, and cafe seating areas which are quaint and away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the mall, my favorite aspect of the mall, and located just above the EMS store, my favorite store in the mall.
