When folks ask me where to shop in the area and they're looking for stores that are reasonably priced, with great and fashionable clothing, accessories, and jewelry, that are very "Upper Valley", AND support the local community, I send them to Revolution. At Revolution, there are both new and locally-designed clothing as well as reasonably priced consigned clothes, shoes, and accessories that are in good shape. Whenever I go to Revolution, I feel good knowing that I'm supporting a cool local community store that gives back to the community. Pssst, don't be surprised if you're offered a latte to sip while you shop. There are toys for kids to play with too while you shop. In a nutshell, this is the best clothing resale/vintage store I have ever encountered. And I have lived in New York, Los Angeles, and Washington DC. I don't even think this place could exist in LA. With Revolution's combo of high quality and excellent prices, the stylists would have picked it over and left nothing for the rest of us! I've only lived here a few months and, amongst other gems, I've picked up a long green Donna Morgan wrap dress and a beautiful black sweater coat with gold buttons that my mother thought was vintage Chanel. I brought my boyfriend here and he came away with a luxurious camel-hair coat in perfect condition. They have an annual Oscar party too - anybody who knows me knows that gets them two thumbs up in my book! I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

I live in Massachusetts and am two hours away from this store. I drove here for a second look just for the heck of it, as I snagged some incredible vintage pieces during my first visit here. Both times, the staff was so friendly and I had a great shopping experience. I discovered Revolution while in Vermont visiting family, and was immediately impressed with not just the amazing array of unique finds, but also the personality of the store, which I would go so far as to say is among the very best I've ever encountered. The amazing staff definitely plays a big part in creating this atmosphere - from the store's manifesto ("...We make our own fun. We are bold and pretty on the inside...") to its funky, all-in-good-fun events, the place is a true gem unparalleled by any of the vintage/thrift/consignment stores here in NYC. Because I don't live in the area but didn't want to lose touch, I followed the ShoptheRev Instagram feed upon arriving back in New York. Kim, the store's founder, regularly posts little peeks into new arrivals, locally made merchandise, and other snapshots of the Upper Valley community. When Kim posted a few dresses that caught my eye, I contacted the store for more info, and less than a week later, they arrived on my doorstep, beautifully wrapped and full of Green Mountain good vibes. I have since made additional purchase via the mail-order method and really can't emphasize how kind and helpful everyone at the store has been. I'm looking forward to gathering a few of my own items to send Kim's way for inclusion in the moveable feast that is this revolutionary store! Ok let's start by saying, this place is called Revolution, and that's exactly what it is doing. This is by far my favorite vintage clothing place in Vermont, and I honestly only wish there was one in Manhattan. Revolution sells consigned vintage and works by new designers, they have shoes, bags, jewels, everything you could ever want in a bad ass vintage store. Because it shares a building with the theatre I frequently work for I find myself down in Revolution spending half my pay check. Because your not fighting the Manhattan or Brooklyn crowd it's absolutely possible to find extremely expensive designers, Chanel, Dior, Gucci. The staff are incredible, so friendly and so helpful. So glad this shop exists in the area!! I've wandered in here several times, just to browse, and walked out with some awesome finds - like a new with tags black velvet Burberry dress for $20! The shop owner is very sweet and helpful if you have an idea of what you're looking for. The only thing I wish they had was an alteration service, since there's so much cute stuff but sometimes it doesn't fit *perfectly. read more

Owner is very rude, personal and cliquish. Sad because the clothes are great, it's hard for me to find items that fit and are flattering and it seemed I lucked out every time I went in! Since several interactions left a bad feeling I've decided not to return. I'll miss finding nice things but won't miss the controlling or snotty behavior. read more

I looked up Tuckerbox Café on Yelp, and after I got my latte walked down to Revolution. I am always a little skeptical of consignment shops, but the clothing here was in great condition. My family and I all bought something, and there was clothing for everyone, including my dad! I bought a pink, strapless dress with no pilling on sale for $19. The local clothing was adorable, but pricey. The dress I wanted to buy from the pink elephant brand was $90, but would be worth the money if I had it, haha! I highly recommend this shop. read more

Shopping at Revolution is a little like the old days of department store shopping where a personal shopper helped you and acted as if you were the only person in the fashion universe. Kim and Nancy will help you pick colors and color you beautiful; they will ask what you need the purchase for (presentation, work, fun, prom, party). There is absolutely no pressure to purchase, just a helpful attitude from people who celebrate clothes on bodies! Revolution is full of unique, artisan-made clothing and jewelry. Definitely a gem in White River Junction. I've bought a few dresses from them, sometimes on sale sometimes full-price. Skirts, too.
