After just a few weeks I felt more energetic and started to feel myself trust my body more. My teenage daughter comes with me as her schedule allows and although we are there together and even do some of the same things our workouts are customized to us. Rob is very good at what he does. I have worked with trainers before and Rob cares about your workout but also how you will feel the next day. He spends time to learn your goals and works you towards them and is very encouraging. But, that's not fair. There are cheaper gyms out there, that are half price or less just for a membership to walk in the door. And they have a more updated facility with more fans and better AC. Sooooo, I go here for the classes, because accountability helps me show up. But it's hot and dated and it's frustrating. It's especially frustrating because I've been to the Glastonbury location that looks newer and more up to date, AND I just learned they are getting a renovation!!!! Perhaps if this place didn't look so dated, more folks would want to join. But, location, location, location. There was a fabulous coach I started with almost two years ago that I loved and really knew his stuff and talked us through accountability with eating and which muscle groups we were working on in each class, and the correct form to do each exercise. He got me hooked. He is the reason I joined and now the location is just so convenient that I've stayed. But they need to make some changes to be as good as they can be and to get more folks in there. Especially now that there's a new stoplight right there to get in and out to and from the Berlin Turnpike rather than making a u-turn like I've been doing for years. She was so energetic and passionate even at 7:30 pm!! Even though I was her last client at the end of a long day, she treated me like her first. I have some injuries and limitations and she was really good about being mindful of that yet still pushing me. And she would even get down and do the more heinous (but good for you!) core and leg exercises right along with me! Not just demonstrating, actually doing them! So o felt very motivated and also like we were in it together. This type of training is a little on the pricier side, it's true. But the trainers are genuine and care so much about their clients and their work. You really feel that. You feel cared about. So if you really are looking for solid guidance and a program that will grow with you as you improve, I recommend this place and these trainers. I learned so much and they helped stretch me out of my comfort zone. Hopefully one day I can come back.
