I appreciate that they offer later hours on weeknights, and they ALWAYS fit us in, even if it's close to closing time. So far, we've seen Dr. David James, Dr. Paul Kritzinger, Dr. Schaff (now retired), Dr. Kimberly Renehan, Dr. Rachel Spickler, Dr. Katie Blackard, and Dr. Anna Shaffer. The doctors are extremely thorough, and we always leave feeling like JoJo has been well cared for. They are also great about emailing us visit summaries and aftercare instructions, and they share details of our visits with our usual vet to ensure communication of her treatment plans. Even NMAH's technicians and front desk staff are wonderful. Everyone is just so warm and compassionate, and they understand the urgency of our situations. We highly recommend NMAH!

I have brought in 2 of my cats so far, and each time Dr Holland has been great with them, and has researched info on medications and options with specialists both for my cats with FIP and with eye issues; both visits, he was understanding about pricing concerns and gave options that I felt were fair and helpful, including thorough emails with additional info and follow up. The office is impeccably clean and the staff very kind. I have passed his info on to the rest of the family, and finally feel that we've found our new vet.

If surgery was needed, of course I would be sent somewhere else. My problem is that over $200 later they palpitated the stomach and got a couple drops of urine out and felt he wasn't constipated or blocked. That would've been good news, but I came home with no paperwork so I called the next day to ask what they found when they tested the urine or if the cat did have an infection for UTI they said they didn't know they didn't do any of that. My second option while there was to catheter the cat and drain the bladder for $500 to check for infection or crystals. I thought that was a bit much on top of the other fees. Well when I had to return to a hospital to basically start over on Monday, they got a couple drops of urine and found there was a small amount of crystal and a UTI. Recommended a urine diet and gave me antibiotics for him plus a shot for hydration. Thoroughly explained from an experienced veterinarian. I understand urgent Vet rotates in different vets and I believe I got a very inexperienced one that didn't know he could just pull fluid from the bladder and check for infection. I feel like I need half refund refunded to me. Then I'd be happy to change my two star to five.

And there are literally 20 other vets within a 10 mile radius, so I've had choices. Today I called, in tears, with a terrible situation on my hands. Instead of the caring help I expected, I was told by the office manager to call somewhere else, and good luck. I'm glad my years of loyalty come so rewarded. Sobbing, I hung up the call. I've never felt more alone. I luckily found the compassion I needed, on what can only be described as one of the hardest days of my life, from my very next call. I explained my situation, as best I could through my tears, expecting from my last call, I would need to beg for this woman to help me. And she said "stop right there, can you go ahead and bring her in now? Of course we can help you". Making it quite obvious that the previous facility I called COULD have helped me, they just didn't want to... I will NEVER bring my animals here again. That's fine, I don't want to know what it would have cost just to get to the $1600 quote to remove a tumor on his tail. This is not the establishment it used to be. They have completely lost their way. They will charge you through the nose for every little thing, not give you feedback or consultation and scare you over unrelated issues just to charge for more procedures.
