I have been to 3 so far; the first two were nice, but didnt particularly stand out. Fortunately, Dr Holland did at North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital. I have brought in 2 of my cats so far, and each time Dr Holland has been great with them, and has researched info on medications and options with specialists both for my cats with FIP and with eye issues; both visits, he was understanding about pricing concerns and gave options that I felt were fair and helpful, including thorough emails with additional info and follow up. The office is impeccably clean and the staff very kind. I have passed his info on to the rest of the family, and finally feel that we've found our new vet.

While NMAH is not our usual vet--primarily due to distance and the fact that our dog hates being in…read morethe car--we use them about once a quarter, either for second opinions or urgent care visits. I appreciate that they offer later hours on weeknights, and they ALWAYS fit us in, even if it's close to closing time. That's usually when our dog seems to have issues, too, when our usual vet is already closed. No matter who we have seen--or at what time--we have received exceptional care at NMAH. So far, we've seen Dr. David James, Dr. Paul Kritzinger, Dr. Schaff (now retired), Dr. Kimberly Renehan, Dr. Rachel Spickler, Dr. Katie Blackard, and Dr. Anna Shaffer. The doctors are extremely thorough, and we always leave feeling like JoJo has been well cared for. They are also great about emailing us visit summaries and aftercare instructions, and they share details of our visits with our usual vet to ensure communication of her treatment plans. Even NMAH's technicians and front desk staff are wonderful. Everyone is just so warm and compassionate, and they understand the urgency of our situations. We highly recommend NMAH!

Our 17 year old pooch started PT and is gaining some serious muscle and mobility back. She is more stable and walking much better. She is spry and I actually had to jog to keep up with her on a walk this morning for the first bit. They have the compassion, kindness and the inner fortitude to communicate with me when it may be time for one of our beloved pups. Being so close to it day in and out, I greatly rely on this insight and communication with our vet to make the best decision for our little pup. I am infinitely grateful to the entire team. It has been quite a few years since we connected with a primary vet the way with have with Dr. Doehrmann. From a vet's perspective another specialist we use said that they had not seen such comprehensive and thorough notes as Dr. Doehrmann's. It was very helpful for their specialty care of our pup. Not only was it clear but left un unanswered questions about what they saw and had been going on. Dr. Doehrmann has liased exceptionally well with an array of specialists and hospitals. Dr. Schanche has advised on some items and been very compassionate and informative to help us with challenging quality of life decisions too. Which it is really lovely the coverage and help is there even if their main provider is out off office that day. The team is really lovely and helpful. They genuinely love the little fur babies and it shows. Original Review This practice quite literally saved our dog's life. She had a stent placed a few weeks prior. She ate a treat that became lodged in her stent and she could barely breathe she started turning blue and purple at home and more so on the way. I called the hospital that placed the stent they said I needed to find the closest vet since they were a 40 minute drive and the primary vet we use is 30 minutes. We flew (figuratively ish) to Bond as they were the closest to us. Literally ran in with our beagle in my arms when one of the nurses heard us pull in. She sprang into action and brought her to the back. They administered oxygen, called the vets and truly saved her life. We are eternally grateful for their help. They called the hospital that placed the stent and looked up the medical device company online (it is a relatively new medical device). They were so quick and thorough in their due diligence to understand location, placement, shape, anatomy around the stent and removal. The treat was lodged totally in the stent. They tried safe ways to try and remove it while leaving the stent in place but due to our little one's voracious eating the stent had to be removed. Which they did and she could immediately began to breathe better on her own. They monitored and stabilized her for transport to the ER and so very much more help! Exceptional team, speed, calculations and amendments to medications that could be given to help her breathing, relax and ultimately removing the stent. Above and beyond is not enough to describe their Herculean efforts and saving our little pup's life. They stabilized her to be transferred as she needed a new stent put post retrieval. There are not enough words and expressions in the English language to express our family's appreciation, gratitude and their exceptional skills.

I have brought my three cats and four-month-old puppy here, and they almost seem like they are not animal lovers. Due to the uncomfortable nature of their customer service, having to follow up on unanswered emails after multiple business days, lackluster record creation, over-priced care, the disconnection between the staff and my pets, and the following two occurrences, I will no longer return to this vet. 1. We recently got my puppy, and his previous owners had not done the best job at house training, leash walking, or outside behavior. We immediately started training on dropping objects, as when we went outside, he would eat everything on the ground. This includes objects deadly to dogs like gum, plastics, and metals. I researched to see what vets have recommended in situations like this. People have been professionally advised and found great success in using face guards, to keep their dogs from ingesting unwanted objects. I decided to use one to keep my puppy safe, especially in times when I know we would not be able to get to him soon enough. Many pet parents finally found peace after spending years and thousands on vet bills for dogs that swallowed inedible objects. When my puppy had this mask on while entering the vet, a veterinarian grilled my boyfriend in front of the lobby asking why our dog has a muzzle on and how it isn't okay to leave it on them in times when they are in a crate. The insinuation that we would do this is bewildering. The comments were extremely unnecessary and could have been simply explained in a respectful conversation. Assuming what we do at home and attempting to publicly shame a customer over a made-up idea instead of just asking for the purpose is the same social stigma that leads people to not use face masks....and have their dog eat trash on the sidewalk....and then end up at the vet. So, I guess it actually makes sense that they would prefer my dog to eat something he shouldn't for the extra couple thousand they would have in their pockets. 2. Secondly, the incompetence of the staff here is why I ultimately decided against this business. After my initial visit with my puppy, he received all of his regular vaccines and needed to return for one DHPP booster. I am wanting to get him signed up for daycare asap, so I followed up with Animal Hospital of Cornelius to see exactly when my dog can get this booster. They responded by asking for paperwork with his DOB, which I already previously provided weeks before. They said after he turns 16 weeks, he can receive the booster. I set the daycare up for him after that, and followed up with the vet 4 days later asking what time I can come in. This vet's response was that they made an error while reviewing the records and my dog actually needs two more boosters instead of one. That was fine. I canceled the daycare, waited until he turned 16 weeks, and got the first vaccine. I now had to wait a month until he could get his second (final) booster to start daycare. I waited the month, which leads me to today where me and my boyfriend took time off of work to take my dog for his last booster. We walk in and the front desk looks like they want to quit their job per usual. We wait for a second in the lobby (even though they call this a walk-in appointment), just for a vet to come out (Kinzey K.) and say that they made an error...again. She barely greets us and doesn't even look at our dog. She looked like she just wanted us to leave the entire exchange. Probably because her Chili's door dash was waiting for her outside. She said that they looked at the records incorrectly and my dog actually only needed one booster. Meaning he was already fully vaccinated over a month ago.... I explained to her that we were told there was an error initially that triggered them realizing he needs 2 and not 1. She said she is aware, but repeated that just needed 1. I took time off work and have had to go back and forth with his day care and insurance people for literally no reason. That is not only frustrating, but this scenario could have been potentially dangerous to my dog's health due to them almost double vaccinating him with a vaccine he did not need. In all, this vet was overall a horrible experience and they do not seem to care about you or your dog. The customer treatment and poor record keeping is ridiculous. I also don't know how safe it is to be sending large quantities of Chili's to a vet practice where people's animals are. A good cue to if a vet practice is one you actually want to support and commit to is if they attempt to sell you the most expensive flea and tick medicine, and don't inform you about all your options. This is one of the vets that will just try to immediately sell you the most expensive product and then send you on your way.

Gaslighting and blaming me for looking after my best friend and wanting answers about his tumors/cancer and stating "it was an easy fix if you'd let us" after telling me they would deny future services. That's fine, I don't want to know what it would have cost just to get to the $1600 quote to remove a tumor on his tail. This is not the establishment it used to be. They have completely lost their way. They will charge you through the nose for every little thing, not give you feedback or consultation and scare you over unrelated issues just to charge for more procedures. They aren't the same, all the good vets left.

Unfortunately, we had to make the decision to do the right thing to euthanize her as her IBD had progressed too far. Obviously, extremely sad for us, however ... I cannot tell you how much compassion and solace were extended to us by the entire staff. Dr. Shivers, who treated her, Dr. Finkes who met us while we waited for Dr. Shivers to make a special trip to the office just to be with us could not have cared more. Everyone there was so supportive in our grief. It means so much when professionals like this care enough to show the empathy they did as if it were their own pet. My wife and I appreciate the understanding and sympathy they showed us to make the horrible experience of losing your pet as bearable as possible. We will absolutely be switching vets for our other two furry family members and highly recommend this practice. Thank you Brawley Animal Hospital.

Long story short, I'm no longer skeptical of acupuncture. I'm a patient that is being healed with the assistance of acupuncture. The entire staff at Best is top-notch. They do everything possible to make sure you are comfortable - mentally and physically. Daleon and other staff members educate their clients so they have an understanding of what, exactly, is going on. With all the questions I had (still on-going) for Deleon and Eddie, I am certain they are the two most patient men on the planet. I believe the staffs' patience and genuine concern for each individual client is what sets them apart from other acupuncture practices. Also, which I think it is very important to note, Best Acupuncture does not practice the "revolving door" theory on patient care. In other words, their goal is to treat you, however long that takes, and send you on your way when your body no longer needs the assistance of acupuncture. I finally, truly get what it means when someone says something is "life-changing". That's what acupuncture has done for me. There is no doubt that the acupuncturists and staff at Best made my experience better than I expected. I can't say enough positive things about this practice. As I told one of the staff members, "I look forward to coming here [Best] like a child looks forward to Christmas." Too much of the enamel was removed. Caps will not stay. Having to have many of them redone again. Think twice before you use this dentist. He does not stand behind his work. Good talker.

Our 3 year old flat coated retriever started to scratch and bite herself excessively. She had no peace. We couldn't actually walk her as she had to scratch and bite. very quickly her skin became inflamed, bleeding and swollen with complete hair loss on different parts of her body. she was quite distressed as were we. I am not a first time dog owner. My mother bred Labradors we have had flat coats for over 36 years. I had never experienced this before. So over the next year I took her to 2 different veterinary practice's. Too long to write about but she was on medication for so many things and it never cleared up. Yes one drug stopped her scratching but it didn't get to the root of the cause. I was told she could be on it her whole life. This was not an option for me. I researched looking for a holistic veterinary and found The veterinary Hospital of Davidson. I read the reviews and knew I had to take our dog there. I saw Dr Carrie Uehlein. She was a breath of fresh air because she had an open mind to using traditional veterinary medicine and all other types of holistic treatments too. She took so much time listening to my dogs history and asked questions I'd never been asked before. Dr Uehleine prescribed a holistic approach with Chinese herbs and a completely new diet. 3 weeks later the inflammation was gone, scratching greatly reduced lesions healing. After 4 months it is like a miracle. Hair is almost back completely and scratching/biting is just normal. This is just an amazing veterinary. Wonderful staff all round. The staff of the VHoD is second to none. Our 7 year old doxie (Lilly) was in horrific pain and was unable to use her back leg to walk. As an owner of a weiner dog, we feared the worst of having back problems. The first sign of pain happened over the weekend and we took her to an emergency vet where they administered some pain meds. By Monday our poor baby was not getting any better and her pain was unbearable to watch. The Veterinary Hospital of Davidson was able to see us immediately and was seen by Dr. Uehlein and Emily promptly. They took X-rays and diagnosed her with degenerative disc disorder. They comforted me and assured me my Lilly would be OK. They did not push her to have an operation, but came up with a plan to use a K-Laser and the chiropractor if she started feeling better. I have never heard of a K-Laser, but am now a true believer of this amazing tool. She was administered 3 treatments with the laser and we saw improvement after just the first treatment and was like a new puppy the next morning after the first treatment. After one week and 3 laser treatments Lilly was seen by the chiropracter and he adjusted her back. Two weeks have passed and my Lilly is doing better than ever, able to run and play with her sister Pheobe. I cannot thank TVHoD enough for the great care that Lilly received from the moment we walked through the door to the phone calls to check on her status. I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Veterinary Hospital of Davidson! I brought my 12 year old, mixed bread dog to see them after my sister found them on the internet. I had been going to another vet for the 6 years I have been living in the area and my boy, Johnny, had just been diagnosed with malignant liver cancer and been given 1-3 months to live. My sister suggested that I get a second opinion from a holistic vet and that is why she referred me to Dr. Sheehan. Best decision of my life! Dr. Sheehan was very empathetic with me and Johnny even though we had never met. We started Johnny on a course of herbs and he showed rapid improvement. However, in February he took a turn for the worse while on vacation at Folly Beach and, due to scheduling, Dr. Uehlein took over his care - another fantastic experience. Johnny was very ill with infection but again was brought back by the wonderful team. After some needed surgery and diagnostic testing, we discovered that Johnny does not have cancer, but rather hepatitis which is being controlled. I have my sweet boy back! The most unique thing about The Veterinary Hospital of Davidson is the staff. From Drs. Sheehan and Uehlein, to Caroline, Emily, Kayleigh, Misty, Kelly, Kristin, Marianne, etc - they always make me feel like my pet is their pet and treat them as they would their own. Should have filed two years ago. Filing now. In 2022 when returning from Ohio and an emergency surgery for my dog Murphy, I contacted this holistic business for recommendations. It was raining, and after driving 400 miles, received voice message from Whole Pet Vet (Kiki) on 2/2/2022 to pick up my dogs medicine. Arriving, I was approached horribly at this facility inside reception area by receptionist named Alisa. She told me to leave without having an appointment. I tried explaining I received a message from KiKi directing me to pick up a medicine. I also tried explaining my dog went thru a lot (emergency surgery) and we just got home from Ohio and he really needed the medicine. Alisa aggressively again told me to leave and demanded I make an appointment to return. This was handled horribly and disrespectful. As a new customer needing my dogs medicine, I had every right to be there picking up a medicine that was ordered for Murphy. I complained about Alisa but the owners made excuses for Alisa. No one should ever be treated this way. I have heard other prior customers talk about this facility as "inappropriately aggressive to clients". It's unfortunate because Davidson/Cornelius is limited with animal services. It has been two years, and I have found an amazing facility for my dogs for holistic options. It feels good to have this type peace of mind now. For anyone looking for holistic options for their dogs and/or cats, find a place that fits 100%. I have been dreaming of having a vet to go to like this ever since we got our dog 6 years ago. Dr. Euhlein was amazing as was the vet tech, and front staff. I felt like their clean, comfortable and welcoming environment was wonderful. Everyone listened to my concerns about our dog's health and temperament and offered suggestions I wish more vets in our past would have suggested or at least supported. For example, my dog's previous two vets ( we moved) never really seemed to understand the importance in diet with a dog's health. I felt like Dr. Euhlein understood from experience that making changes to diet can make a huge difference. I personally know my diet and supplements make a huge difference in my life and it was so great to see a doctor for our dog that got that and even supported a raw diet and herbal supplements, something my dog thrived on in the past (the raw diet) and something I am excited to try ( herbal supplement for anxiety and hopeful seizure prevention). I brought up these topics and did not feel pressured at all so I am positive they would support many kinds of taking care of your animal. I felt supported and felt like pricing is fair and even products you need for your dog are in line with online and big stores. Wow, go here if you live anywhere close by. First and foremost, I'm writing this review at the request of our pups...so don't blame me if the grammar isn't ideal. Much like some reality shows; the editors of this review slobber allot and drink from the toilet. They say that pets reflect their owners, and that concerns me a bit- since I'm blessed with an over friendly Pyr that thinks hes a lab, and a lab that gets into so much weird trouble that he could probably guest star in the next "Jackass" movie. Dr. Sheehan and her crew have been phenomenal over the past few years- so much so that I was a bit concerned when they really started to grow. I though that there'd be no way they could maintain the truly caring, personalized boutique feel the clinic has once they got bigger. Thankfully, I've been proven wrong. They've somehow managed, through their tremendous growth and addition of two new vets, to maintain that personalized careful attention and true love for the pets. The fact is, they love what they do- and it shows. Pricing is in line with other vets in the area ( and sometimes less); but to be frank the level of care that they give would easily justify higher pricing. Two paws up! read more

I just came from my first visit at this animal hospital. I am beyond thrilled with everything about the visit... the techs, Dr Sheehan, the prices, the atmosphere... cannot be beat. I have always wondered why vets charge you so much for the care of your animal when isn't the point of being a vet to help/save as many animals as you can??? If you are charging an arm and a leg that eliminates a lot of people who cannot afford it and in the end the animals suffer. The veterinary hospital of Davidson has extremely reasonable prices, in fact I was shocked by my low bill! The woman checking me out said they make a conscious effort to keep their prices lower than others so they can help more people. GOD BLESS YOU. I will be a customer for life and I will tell everyone I meet about their wonderful care! Dr Sheehan was very knowledgeable about raw diets and a holistic approach which was very important to me and is also very hard to find here. I rescued 2 dogs a couple of years ago who were "vet hopped" from the start through the rescue. Wanted to settle down and find a vet close by and found the Vet Hospital in Davidson a couple of months ago when they were do for their annual exams again and love it. I work in the medical field and this is exactly how I would want my (very much loved) fur babies to be treated by a vet. Dr. Uehlein is amazing! My two can tend to be very afraid of new people and new places--especially the vets and she took all the time needed to let them warm up to her and the staff and not end up in a panic attack the first time they went. Very caring and considerate. My boy dog has fear anxiety and they've started him on some herbal supplements to help with that and I've definitely noticed an improvement in less than 2 months. They worked my girl in to be seen at the last minute when she was having an allergic reaction again. Willing to answer any and all questions and don't make you feel like they are rushing to get you out of there. So glad I found this place, definitely recommend it to anyone in the Lake Norman Area! :) read more

I have been coming here for over seven years and was referred due to my pup having lots of stomach issues. It took me awhile to trust the different approach that they offered, but when you see results you become a believer. I love the no fear approach and being allowed to be a part of the process if it helped my pup relax. Over the past seven years I have said goodbye to my pup due to cancer, and cat due to old age, and welcomed three new pups ... each with their own special needs. The entire staff has helped me through welcoming a new puppy to saying goodbye, honoring my wishes, and being upfront and honest when I needed to hear the truth. Carrie and Nicole are the main vets I have seen over the years along with great support from their techs Emily and Heather. They are all involved in community events and have also helped several of my foster pups over the years. Dr. Sheehan ad The Veterinary Hospital of Davidson is absolutely amazing. I took our 9 year old beagle to see her after he had a series of mysterious health issues which involved his lymph system that was causing very severe mysterious swelling and allergic reactions. Other vets (we had seen 3 others) had given him a very bleak outlook and basically had no idea where to turn or how to treat him (during this time he was continually getting worse). I was very encouraged when I was directed to Dr. Sheehan as a holistic option for treatment. Over the course of several months and a series of holistic therapies to bring his system back into balance, I can happily say that he is now a happy, frisky, feisty, 10 year old! Not only is Dr. Sheehan is very knowledgeable in her profession, but the staff is amazing as well. Always friendly and more than happy to help in any way they can. We have been receiving great care from this group for two years & found their Doctors & staff very knowledgeable, professional and passionate about quality animal care. Wow! Called early Tuesday morning with an emergency and was told to come in as soon as I could arrive. No hesitation seeing my fur baby. This group is phenomenal!! The minute we walked thru the door, we received immediate attention. Dr. Sheehan, Dr. Parker & staff are truly amazing. I rarely write reviews. I am extremely happy to write this review. If there was a different rating system, Whole Pet Veterinary Hospital Davidson would receive 10 +. My 12 1/2 year old Akita mix needed a serious operation. I was reluctant to have this done due to his age and size. I found Dr. Sheehan's name in National Holistic Vet directory. She was the only one listed for the Charlotte area. She took the time to explain to me why she could help Jordan, including a higher than average degree confidence that she would be able make Jordan well for the remaining time he has left. She gave to Jordan and me a gift that we will never forget. Along with Dr. Sheehan, Alexandria, Lynne, and Keri gave excellent care and information through out the process. After trying everything with my elderly Pekingese and getting discouraged, it was recommended I take him here for a new approach to his spinal discomfort. At the time, he rarely attempted to walk, and he was in considerable pain daily. Dr. Uehlein revised his medicine regimen and started acupuncture. I was skeptical at first, but the result was nothing short of amazing. Immediately after the first visit, my dog became playful, active, happy, and excited for the first time in months. He has completed his third weekly acupuncture, and most of his days now show a marked improvement. Dr. Uehlein and the staff are very compassionate and professional. Everyone I have encountered seems to love what they do and to do it with purpose. I am very happy I chose to bring Lamont here. I would recommend to everyone. Today was my first visit to The Veterinary Hospital of Davidson with my sweet dog, Wrigley. The staff was so nice. Wrigley has anxiety and did very well with everyone. I felt the compassion and care Dr. Rattray had for Wrigley and she was extremely knowledgeable in the options that were given to me. I have been worried about him for about a month and trying to figure out what was wrong. When I left today, I knew that he would be in good hands and I had a sense of peace that his care and well being are of utmost importance to Dr. Rattray. Dogs have an intuition and I could tell that he was more at ease with everyone here as opposed to previous offices. I also did not feel rushed and they took the time needed to learn about his symptoms. It is very scary to visit a new vet but they definitely put me at ease about the future care of my fur babies!! I LOVE The Veterinary Hospital of Davidson! I have a dog who has kidney problems so I've been to numerous vets and I have never been this impressed with a facility and its staff. Dr. Uehlein is the most amazing vet I have ever been to! She is so easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. For the first time at a vet I feel like the staff really cares about my dogs and wants the best for them just like I do. They have the dog's best interest in mind and aren't just trying to make money. I also love that they don't run unnecessary tests on my dogs and would never over medicate them. Because of Dr. U, both of my dogs are now eating a much healthier diet and getting the medical attention they need. Previously our two dogs went to total bond but after calling to get my moe looked at for a hip problem and I was told there first opening was over a week away,I had had enough. I called The veterinary hospital of Davidson ,not only could they see Moe that day but I had a choice of several different times As soon as I walked in I knew I found the right place for my two guys! This place looked clean,smelled clean and just felt right the staff is amazing and so friendly We the then met Dr Parker ,all I can say is wow he got down on his knees to examine moe really got down on moes level to calm him and check his legs and hips and knees. I cant say enough about the care we have received from Dr. Sheehan, Dr. Uehlein, and the entire staff (every single one of them) at Veterinary hospital of Davidson We have treated our 2 spring spaniels since moving to Davidson 15 months ago ranging from regular checks ups to a recent ACL surgery. My springer's especially Taz who has spent quite a bit of time there recently is very comfortable every time we bring them in and are always treated with love and care!! Dr Uehlein cared for Taz when he had some kidney issues and treated him like it was her own dog. Taz has just had an ACL surgery for a torn cruciate and Dr. Sheehan took exceptional care of him and he is recovering happily. Phenomenal care and love for the pets.. Truly 5 star. We love everyone at Whole Pet Davidson! From the moment you walk in, the entire team--from the front office staff to the nurses and doctors--goes above and beyond to make both you and your pup feel at ease. Even when my dogs are being difficult (like my kids!), they handle everything with patience, kindness, and a deep knowledge that helps me understand what's going on and reminds me I'm not alone in caring for my pups. We've been bringing our pets to Whole Pet for about 10 years, and Dr. Uehlein is the absolute best--period! I was told by 2 friends about The Veterinary Hospital of Davidson, and after we lost our old dog, I wanted a better practice to look after our new puppy. We saw Dr Sheehan and staff and I am truly excited about this practice. Everyone is very caring and listens to every word I said. I know we will be getting the best care here, my puppy was relaxed and he loved all the care and attention he got. It's fabulous to find a vet that is welcoming to raw feeding and a holistic approach rather than the conventional way of pet care. (I had a terrible experience with our previous vet, they medicated rather than find the cause to a problem) I know we won't have that problem here!! The entire staff at The Veterinary Hospital of Davidson is excellent. From the moment you walk in, to the second you get back in your car, you feel taken care of. You know your animal was treated with the best possible care and youre confident that your animal also enjoyed the experience.
