I'm so grateful to Dr. Sheehan for being so gracious and getting my sweet boy Cooper in for a consult so quickly. Everyone was so kind and caring, and helped relieve some of the desperation I was feeling. It was so worth the 6 hour drive.

I took my dog, Scooter, to this vet for the first time, needing a check-up and medication for an upcoming flight. We were referred by family who absolutely loves and trusts this place, and I can see why! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and put both of us at ease. Scooter, who can be a bit nervous, felt surprisingly comfortable and relaxed here. The vet was thorough, explained everything clearly, and made sure we had what we needed. I'm grateful for such a positive first experience and would highly recommend them! I took my dog, Scooter, to this vet for the first time, needing a check-up and medication for an upcoming flight. Very grateful to Whole Pet Davidson, Dr. Sheehan and the whole team for helping with my 3 year old pup, Aspen. She was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and other vets suggested nothing could be done as chemotherapy and surgery were not valid options, to go home and just let her go. Or to use the wonderful services of laps of love. Whole Pet Davidson made me feel like I was in very best capable hands to help my baby beat cancer with a non invasive ozone oxygen therapy and Chinese herbs. For now we are driving an hour from SC to Whole Pet Davidson (until we are stable to Whole Pet's other closer location to us) because they are very professional, amazing staff, answered my questions and stayed in contact during stressful recovery times during the process of healing. Definitely notice the quality, expertise, experience, knowledge, great communication and overall appreciate the holistic approach and there willingness to work with me and my pup more than they will ever know! My Yorkie, Maile was bright and alert when brought into Whole Pet for rapid breathing after a hectic morning of accompanying her sibling to Whole Pet for his scheduled appointment. She suffered from anxiety when her daily routine was disrupted. In my educated opinion, Maile would still be alive today if I hadn't brought her to Whole Pet Davidson. I was led to believe that she was in need of oxygen and had to be placed in an oxygen cage. She was hastily diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and given a multitude of drugs such as Lasix, steroids and opioids which caused worsening of her condition. Maile's 3 lb. body was so over medicated that 1 1/2 hours later, they urged me to euthanize. I refused and they continued giving her drugs without taking bloodwork to monitor her kidneys until they finally released her 5 hours later. In the end, I took her to CARE Charlotte where she had extensive testing confirming that she never had Congestive Heart Failure but the drug treatment she had at Whole Pet shut down Maile's kidneys and pushed her into kidney failure. I had no other option but to euthanize her. Even though I was a long-time client, I will always regret my decision to bring Maile to Whole Pet Davidson. I filed a case with the North Carolina Veterinary Board and although I had ample proof of my claims, the veterinarians at Whole Pet Davidson fabricated an entire narrative to cover up their mistakes which is as despicable as what they did to Maile. Saving their reputation was far more important than being honest about taking the life of my dog. I am also aware that I am not the only one who has filed a complaint against Whole Pet Davidson with the North Carolina Veterinary Board. I have seen in prior reviews that Whole Pet is quick to respond to any reviews that they perceive as being negative. I can only hope that they do not respond to my review, as that would be yet another stab to my heart that has already been through so much. They know what happened, as do I. Any response would yet again show their complete lack of empathy and so little care which, please know, is also a reflection as to how they treat their pets and their owners. I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

We had the best experience at Whole Pet Davidson yesterday! I called yesterday morning and they offered me a same day appointment, which was very difficult at our previous vet. We saw Dr. Hanna Andrews and Kendel and they couldn't have been sweeter. I have a very nervous girl and this was the first time she wasn't debilitatingly nervous. The exam room had a comfy couch and large windows, which put her at ease. I made a comment about how this made her comfortable and they were so thoughtful to put this in her chart to remember for her next visit. I didn't feel rushed at all and Dr. Andrews was very honest and compassionate. She offered several solutions to our issue and supported our decisions. She also went out of her way to offer money saving options, which is always appreciated! Don't think twice about bringing your pet here. It is the absolute best care around!

    Emmet the applehead
    Laura D.

Dr Linen, Janan along with the rest of the staff at Whole Pet were beyond phenomenal. They took their time with my 5 month old tiny apple head chihuahua - answered all my questions and even managed to give Emmet his shots without him freaking out or crying. He's underweight for his age (2.5 pounds) and Emmet still has an open molera on his head. Dr. Linen was amazingly thorough, gentle and patient with him all while taking her time to explain what I needed to watch out for and pay attention to. Her knowledge was so valued because I didn't realize how fragile these puppies actually can be. She recommended fantastic ideas to help get his weight up as Emmet should really be about 4 pounds at his age. I graciously took her advice to offer him food more often throughout the day and not to focus on morning and afternoon meal times. It's been a month and he's already gained almost a pound! I will never go to another vet! Thank you Dr. Linen and Whole Pet Team!

Update We have continued to return time and time again…read more TotalBond has been a massive help for our family. Our 17 year old pooch started PT and is gaining some serious muscle and mobility back. She is more stable and walking much better. She is spry and I actually had to jog to keep up with her on a walk this morning for the first bit. They have the compassion, kindness and the inner fortitude to communicate with me when it may be time for one of our beloved pups. Being so close to it day in and out, I greatly rely on this insight and communication with our vet to make the best decision for our little pup. I am infinitely grateful to the entire team. It has been quite a few years since we connected with a primary vet the way with have with Dr. Doehrmann. From a vet's perspective another specialist we use said that they had not seen such comprehensive and thorough notes as Dr. Doehrmann's. It was very helpful for their specialty care of our pup. Not only was it clear but left un unanswered questions about what they saw and had been going on. Dr. Doehrmann has liased exceptionally well with an array of specialists and hospitals. Dr. Schanche has advised on some items and been very compassionate and informative to help us with challenging quality of life decisions too. Which it is really lovely the coverage and help is there even if their main provider is out off office that day. The team is really lovely and helpful. They genuinely love the little fur babies and it shows. Original Review This practice quite literally saved our dog's life. She had a stent placed a few weeks prior. She ate a treat that became lodged in her stent and she could barely breathe she started turning blue and purple at home and more so on the way. I called the hospital that placed the stent they said I needed to find the closest vet since they were a 40 minute drive and the primary vet we use is 30 minutes. We flew (figuratively ish) to Bond as they were the closest to us. Literally ran in with our beagle in my arms when one of the nurses heard us pull in. She sprang into action and brought her to the back. They administered oxygen, called the vets and truly saved her life. We are eternally grateful for their help. They called the hospital that placed the stent and looked up the medical device company online (it is a relatively new medical device). They were so quick and thorough in their due diligence to understand location, placement, shape, anatomy around the stent and removal. The treat was lodged totally in the stent. They tried safe ways to try and remove it while leaving the stent in place but due to our little one's voracious eating the stent had to be removed. Which they did and she could immediately began to breathe better on her own. They monitored and stabilized her for transport to the ER and so very much more help! Exceptional team, speed, calculations and amendments to medications that could be given to help her breathing, relax and ultimately removing the stent. Above and beyond is not enough to describe their Herculean efforts and saving our little pup's life. They stabilized her to be transferred as she needed a new stent put post retrieval. There are not enough words and expressions in the English language to express our family's appreciation, gratitude and their exceptional skills.

They do everything possible to make sure you are comfortable - mentally and physically. Daleon and other staff members educate their clients so they have an understanding of what, exactly, is going on. With all the questions I had (still on-going) for Deleon and Eddie, I am certain they are the two most patient men on the planet. I believe the staffs' patience and genuine concern for each individual client is what sets them apart from other acupuncture practices. Also, which I think it is very important to note, Best Acupuncture does not practice the "revolving door" theory on patient care. In other words, their goal is to treat you, however long that takes, and send you on your way when your body no longer needs the assistance of acupuncture. I finally, truly get what it means when someone says something is "life-changing". That's what acupuncture has done for me.
