Worst experience. Paid for 2 batteries for my toy hauler. Was told bayteries were fully charged and they could be delivered. Got a call last minute that they would not be able to deliver batteries so I had to go during work hours to pick them up. Super inconvenient. Got home installed, come to find out batteries were dead and I had to charge them. 2 hours for a full charge. Again super inconvenient as this caused delays in our plans. read more

I purchased a car battery from Powerstride on 09/06/24. Just six months later, on 03/12/24, I started having trouble starting my engine. I took my car back to Powerstride the next day (03/13/24), and they told me it wasn't the battery. Over the next two months, I continued having issues starting my engine, bringing the car to repair shops multiple times. This morning, after a short five-minute drive, a mechanic tested the battery and found it was reading only 12.37 volts. That's considered low for a battery that's less than a year old -- a healthy, fully charged battery should read between 12.6 and 12.9 volts. Thinking this was clearly a warranty issue, my wife drove 20 miles from Los Angeles to Powerstride in Santa Fe Springs (after staying overnight at my mom's). She even showed them a photo of the 12.37-volt reading. But because their own test showed 12.87 volts after that long drive (for an hour), they refused to honor the warranty. To say we're disappointed is an understatement. We've dealt with persistent battery issues for over two months, yet Powerstride wouldn't take responsibility. A warranty should protect customers in exactly this kind of situation -- instead, it felt like we were brushed off with a convenient excuse. My little battery for the internet back up unit went out and instead of wasting money and time with the provider. Called one store who quickly referred me to the awesome folks at Powerstride. Quick phone and he assured me they had exactly what I was looking for. Showed up, spent a whopping 35 bucks after tax, got a thank you and I was off to my house to get the internet back up and running. I'd definitely come by here again if I needed the same battery or to swap my car batteries in the future. These are very nice people who don't try to rip you off. 6/8/20- After getting in contact with the branch manger he was able to help me out with the situation. Thanks again for resolving my problem. A++ I usually don't write negative reviews, but for this experience im making an exception. Spend your money somewhere else, this company won't honor thier warranty. On April 2019 I spend over 300$ on two Odyssey batteries, and they sold me a battery that was sitting on their shelf since June 2018(almost a year). I decided to stop by because one of them was not holding a charge. Even though Odyssey batteries have a 3 year warranty, they refuse to do an exchange. They quickly offer to sell me a new one. I work in customer service and I know when we really want to help out a customer we go above and beyond to make things right. This will be the last time I go to store. Stick with costco or Sam Club with no hassle warranty claims. I will also be following up with their corporate headquarters. read more

My car battery was not holding a charge and I was able to bring it in and get it changed out in about 15-20 minutes with no appointment. Even though they charged a little extra for a third year of warranty coverage (baseline was 2) it was still overall cheaper than any other place I contacted. I would use them again. read more

This place rocks! I needed a new battery for my Jeep Wrangler and searched the forums. Since Sears discontinued their Die Hard Platinum, many forum members were suggesting the Odyssey Extreme 34R-PC1500T. I searched online and found the lowest price I could find at a shop in Compton. This would have been quite a drive, so I went to the Odyssey website and searched for the closest Odyssey dealer. Powerstride was four minutes away. I called them and spoke with Angel. I told him what I needed, and the price I could get it for. He said he would match the price. 30 minutes later I had a nice new battery! Angel did the install and was very friendly. He even slapped on a set of new windshield wipers I had just bought. He was very busy, which says a lot about the business - lot of people trust them. Highly recommended! read more

My vehicle has a hard to find battery. I called this Powerstride Battery shop in Santa Fe Springs and spoke with someone who had a "we-can-do-it" attitude, which prompted me to visit them this morning. They found the right battery from their stock, installed it, and I was happily on my way. Huge props to Jose who installed the battery professionally and thoroughly, including making sure oxidation from the old battery was cleaned off. His comrade Jorge helped me secure a decent price on the battery. I'm impressed and will gladly use them for future work and will recommend this location to friends. P.S., This particular location might be more customer friendly than other Powerstride locations. I had called another Powerstride Battery store (location of which shall remain nameless) which did not seem to want to do installation. They strongly urged me to drive another car to bring in my old battery. In contrast, the Santa Fe Springs location from the get-go intended to do installation for the battery price. Quick and easy. And inexpensive, too. They swapped out the battery in my 2008 Kia Rondo and I was back on the road in about 15 - 20 minutes. Real friendly service, too. They check the alternator to make sure everything was working okay also. PLUS the price of the battery was about 33% less than I would have paid at Autozone or O'Reilly's.
