Music flowed from bars and pubs and some were even staged outside. Got to see a Jersey Shore/Philly band there called STELLAR MOJO who were great. More accessible, art for the people by the people. There also was a Black Country Artist playing the festival, whom I love "Tanner Adell" and it was my favorite price, Free. Free to attend but you did have to pay for the food, drinks and art/things. I love this festival, everyone was happy, friendly and approachable at the festival. The live music and dancing was so fun, there were even hula hoops all around! Very easy to start conversation and harder to end it. I learned today that the meat is not what makes calzone but the dough that hosts the meat inside. The meet was good but the dough was memorable. Speaking about the dough - how about delicious sweet fried dough for $3 that is impossible to finish by one person - even if you are a true Italian. I was advised by two elderly Italian ladies, "take real sugar because the powder sugar is too messy, and have sugar on both sides." I am sorry that I did not try meatballs but I can testify that calzone and pizza were the first class and worth the trip. I am very tempted to repeat the experience on a similar event - August 19 and 20, 2017 - this time just a saint will be different (St Gabriel in August).

They have a lot of typical carnival games like ring toss, they have clowns and face painting, etc. Also they sell food and drinks - pit beef, fries, Italian sausage, cotton candy, funnel cakes, beer, etc. And the food prices aren't bad at all. They did start a little later than their posted opening time of 3:00 when I went (6.1.19) and unfortunately the operator of the bumper cars was very obviously under the influence, but aside from that we had a fantastic time and definitely plan to make this an annual tradition.

My only critique would be to educate some of the vendors on the different tickets that were floating around from the various deal outlets (Groupon, Living Social etc.) It was a bit confusing to purchase something in advance and to then be told that the tickets were not accepted. I eventually just went to the next vendor but, yeah. Also, I don't know what can be done about the sale of actual bottles of wine. I know that if I go to a wine festival and I try a wine I like, I typically want to purchase more than a glass or cup full.

I got the VIP hookup! All you can eat crabs, coleslaw, corn, chips, and beer sampling!! When we entered, we got our VIP wristbands and a souvenir mini beer mug for endless samples. You have to options when sampling beer: try or mug. Trying allows you to taste the beer so you don't get a full mug and waste it if you don't like it. If you like it, ask them to "mug" and they will fill the mug. Lots of great beer, wine, and spirit vendors were present, such as Guinness, Heavy Seas, Charm City Meadworks, Virginia Distillery Co, Hoop Tea, and Jim Beam. We definitely took advantage and left lit! The crabs came 6 at a time. They provided us with mallets, wet naps, butter, Old Bay, and vinegar. VIPs also have guaranteed seating until the big tent. There was a live band for entertainment and they sang a little bit of everything. The people attending were great, the attendant were friendly and helpful. I would definitely go to another. The VIP tickets were worth it!!

If you're like me and you get anxiety over festival parking, be assured that all you need to do is look at the festival map posted online for the event and they have clearly marked parking garages- all for 5 bucks! All liquor was 6 bucks, and food averaged 12 bucks on up. I ended up also getting doggie waffle treats for cheap. I loved their concept and interaction. I ate wayyy too much but i was happy with it. The beer garden was a nice touch for the adults. There was a band going which was nice back ground music. This was a really nice sunday strolling with friends and i got my mothers day shopping out the way!

There were some buildings lit up and trees lined with lights, but where were all the main attractions and interactive displays? With so many people and the event so spread out, I felt it was hard to really find anything. The displays we did see (after waiting in long lines) were underwhelming. Mini light city was a cool idea, but on the night we went, it started closer to 6pm (rather than 5pm). I think the highlight of the evening was Impulse (sit on one end of the seesaw to see lights and hear some sounds as you go up and down) and The Pool (hope on circular platforms as they change color). If you start on the wrong end, you'll miss the nightly parade. The festival did offer a variety of food and beverage stands throughout, which was a nice touch. If you aren't already spending the day in Baltimore, I wouldn't make a trip specifically for this festival. If you do go, make sure you check out the schedule and map before hand to maximize your experience. Be prepared for massive crowds!
