More accessible, art for the people by the people. There also was a Black Country Artist playing the festival, whom I love "Tanner Adell" and it was my favorite price, Free. Free to attend but you did have to pay for the food, drinks and art/things. I love this festival, everyone was happy, friendly and approachable at the festival. It was also a perfect time to hangout with my B'more friends. Should you attend next year?! Definitely!!

Located in the Canton waterfront park, you can enjoy local bands performing and local food trucks. Each month a few different bands are always featured. You can also enjoy bars that have been set up throughout the park, sponsored by Mother's bar and Grill. Some of my favorite food that is always featured, is Jimmy's Famous Seafood and Underground Pizza. Don't forget to also enjoy some ice cream from the ice cream trucks. Prices are reasonably priced and expected from the restaurants. You can always expect great quality food, great service, and fast service, especially as the night goes on and the park gets more crowded. Parking is best available on Boston Street or walking to the festival if you live in Canton is a perfect option. Don't forget to bring chairs and a blanket for sitting on the lawn, or if you get there early enough, you may be lucky enough to get a park bench where you can sit all night.

There were some buildings lit up and trees lined with lights, but where were all the main attractions and interactive displays? With so many people and the event so spread out, I felt it was hard to really find anything. The displays we did see (after waiting in long lines) were underwhelming. Mini light city was a cool idea, but on the night we went, it started closer to 6pm (rather than 5pm). I think the highlight of the evening was Impulse (sit on one end of the seesaw to see lights and hear some sounds as you go up and down) and The Pool (hope on circular platforms as they change color). If you start on the wrong end, you'll miss the nightly parade. The festival did offer a variety of food and beverage stands throughout, which was a nice touch. If you aren't already spending the day in Baltimore, I wouldn't make a trip specifically for this festival. If you do go, make sure you check out the schedule and map before hand to maximize your experience. Be prepared for massive crowds!

The last couple of years they have settle in West Short Park since Sandlot closed and I think they landed in a wonderful venue right in the middle of the city. Feastival is always well organized and Titos is a great partner to have included. If you havent attended Feastival make sure you stay on the look out next year around April for tickets because its always a great time! (the early bird discount is a bonus if you catch it!)

Won't make that mistake again! That said, it's also for a good cause, Cystic Fibrosis, so I'm happy to gobble amazing food to support research and aid for this disease. It was held at the West Shore Park, which was a great venue to hold this event (tho calling that space a park is a bit much - it's a smallish patch of grass at the Inner Harbor). It was small, and thus easy to get around to all the vendors, and the grass was mostly flat so I didn't worry about tripping while carrying food or drink. The vendors were all amazing and I'd say a good 70% of the food and drinks absolutely knocked my socks off! It was a great way to spend 3 hours. This event was well organized, hosted, and priced. Definitely looking forward to next year already!

I was able to find parking in one of the old parking lots. Rather treacherous with the old tires that had been dumped and the lack of parking lines. It was pretty much a free for all's It was well organized. We purchased our tickets online so only had to check in when we arrived. Then we got a group number. It was a short wait for about 15-20 minutes before being let it. Some of the performers were out wandering the crowd giving out some jump scares. There was a hot dog cart, bar, and ice cream truck onsite if you wanted something to eat or drink. A fun group activity that I recommend trying out if you are a Halloween fan.

In spite of the awesome lineup -- Kaskade, Robin Thicke, Icona Pop, Manufactured Superstars, MGMT, CongoRock, Gareth Emery, Madeon, Pretty Lights, and etc. -- it pretty much rained the whole time we were there, which definitely brought the mood down a little. We had umbrellas, but we still ended up getting soaked. Drinks and food were overpriced and cash only, and they didn't even check ID at the entrance or when you purchase it at the bars. (Hello, underage drinking!) Parking was a hassle and we ended up parking at the lot about 1 mile away and walking to the event in the rain... shuttle service would have been greatly appreciated. Since it was an "all ages" event, there were definitely tons of kids roaming around. Even though I'm in my mid-20s, I definitely felt old and out of place at the event. Regardless, it was nice to see friends and enjoy the music. If I ever end up going again, I hope the weather is better next time around!

One of the area's best-known music festivals, it's free if you get in on the ticket-snagging fast…read moreenough, affordable if you don't ($50 ticket includes t-shirt and free soda all day). Held at Merriweather, you've got three outdoor stages to hop back and forth between and a varied lineup running all afternoon and on into the night. Mostly attended by people in their mid-20s through mid-30s, with some teens, some older folks, and a handful of kids and even babies with their parents. You can bring in your own food, sneak in alcohol pretty easily (although of course I don't advocate this etc etc), or buy overpriced junk food and alcohol on site. Bring cash, because some of the food stands don't take cards and the lines for the ATMs are insane. Also may want to bring a sheet or blanket so you can sprawl on the large lawn at the main stage, where groups like to camp out, get drunk, and smoke weed. It gets crowded, but it's always possible to find a square of space with a good view of the big screen, if not of the little singing dots on the stage below. You're allowed to bring in backpacks, so you can carry around your sheet pretty easily when you want to hit up the other stages, which are standing only. Dress code is basically wear your wackiest item(s) of clothing. People definitely dress for a festival. Decades channeled include the '60s, '70s, and '80s. Also saw a chicken costume (top half pulled down around the waist), a floor-length gown, the shortest American flag shorts I've ever seen on a straight guy, tribal face paint (lots), and a flawlessly dapper fellow who looked like he was heading to the dandies & quaintrelles bike ride. So, whatever floats your boat, basically. And in case it's not obvious, the people-watching is almost as good as the music.
