CCAH recently moved their behavioral health services from Carelon, which worked great to an…read morein-house system, which is a disaster for people needing mental health services. I called on the first day and waited on hold for quite a while, ironically hearing advertisements about the new behavioral health services. When I got through, it wasn't to behavioral health but to the regular operators and they didn't even understand what to do. One of them transferred me to behavioral health and all I got was a recording saying they couldn't answer the phone. Another one transferred me and I was on hold again and all I did was get back to another operator like her. One operator suggested I file a grievance, and she said she did. About a week later I got a letter by snail mail saying my grievance has been received even though they didn't ask for any input from me. I doubt it will go anywhere. Another operator directed me to the online portal, which I tried, but it wasn't up-to-date for a providers in my county. Does CCAH understand the implications of someone seeking out behavioral health just giving up because of bureaucracy ? Disgraceful. (my rating is zero for a behavioral health, but I gave it a two because other aspects of CCAH have worked well for me.)
