Try the pistachio gelato, it's damn good. This joint is in the Marais, which is a very beautiful section of Paris. The narrow streets are charming to walk through. This gelateria also makes wicked Italian coffee. Nearby are tons of vintage shops, restaurants and boutiques. read more

Great little Italian place for gelato and focaccia. Fresh proscuttio and parmesan reggiano. Staff speaks English which is a plus because my French was not good. Staff was great explaining the food which was delicious and fresh. Good for kids and had good number of bar stools and tables. read more

Pozzetto is for sure one of my favorite ice cream places in Paris. They have traditional flavors (raspberry, fiordilatte...), house specialties (pistachio...) and flavors of the month (seasonal fruit...). You can choose the size of your cone or cup and choose as many flavors as you want (and they probably will let you taste some if you're mind isn't made up yet)! They are really delicious, perfectly mastered Italian ice creams. Don't forget to come into the boutique to get some Italian sweets and chocolate. read more

My friend introduced Pozetto to me 9 years ago on my first trip to Paris. She claimed it was better than Amorino and I believed her as she's a big foodie. Anyhow, every trip back to Paris = a trip to Pozetto for their gianduja and pistachio gelato. Every trip never fails to put the same familiar tastes and a smile to my face. Gianduja is the bomb! Just Ok. I didn't get why the lines were so extensive. Pistachio gelato has pistachio color but lacks in flavor and the other only nut flavor as well. Delicious gelato; I got a mix of Noisette (hazelnut), Fleur de Lait (milk flower; I think it was a monthly special) and Pistache (pistachio). Although overall the gelato was delicious, the only real flavor I tasted was the hazelnut, which tasted like frozen Nutella in the best way possible. The Fleur de Lait didn't really taste like anything other than frozen milk (which might be the way it's supposed to taste; I'm not sure), and I couldn't taste the pistachio at all. Came here for some dessert post L'As du Fallafel. It's walking distance from there, so we decided to stop by. I'd read that this place had the most authentic gelato in Paris, so I was pretty excited to try it. Once here, we waited in a short line for the gelato. We tried several flavors, but the general consensus was that pistachio is the best one, hands down. It's perfect, and I would recommend it hands down. The other flavors are pretty solid too, but pistachio is by far the best. I would definitely recommend coming here, especially on a summer night like we did. read more

I'd read about this gelato on David Lebovitz's blog and thought that while I was in the Marais, I would try it out. I bypassed some very long lines at Amorino and arrived here, where I was the only customer. I went for the chocolate hazelnut gelato in a cone, which was absolutely heavenly. I've never had Amorino, so can't compare, but I can't imagine it being better than Pozzetto. read more

Excellent gelato!! I love the rich creamy flavors while my husband prefers the lighter fruit flavors, so we got to try pretty much all of them over several visits. I don't know what the hype about Berthillon is all about because I'd go to Pozzetto (superb quality, scoops that are bigger than the walnut-sized one at Berthillon, and no line) any day. read more

The ice cream there is absolutely delicious. I was in Italy a week before I visited Pozzetto and felt absolutely no difference in the quality of the product. I think that this is the best gelato in Paris that I've had. I found it through David Leibovitz's website and I'm so glad I did! It most definitely is better than Amorino. But I do still love Berthillon. So on my first trip to Pozetto, I got the géant size (giant) and it weighed like a pint of ice cream!! I got four flavors: pistachio, gianduja, coconut, and strawberry. Their pistachio was the best I had in Paris. I think they give the best bang for your buck (for takeaway) and it's absolutely delicious. If I could only choose two ice cream places to go to in Paris it would be Pozetto and Berthillon (I wouldn't bother with Amorino or Grom)! The workers were laughing a little at the fact that I got a giant, and I couldn't eat it fast enough so some of it dripped all over my shirt, but you're only young once, right? So maybe don't get a giant size unless it's colder so it won't melt fast and only if you're ready to eat a massive amount of ice cream. Still, I have no regrets ;) read more

Not your typical gelato stand. Pretty popular with the locals. Unlike others, you cannot see the gelato from the outside as they are in steel containers. So make sure you know what you are ordering. I thought I was getting something exotic, but turned out to be simply vanilla. read more

We were visiting from the United States and eager to visit Berthillion. But when we arrived, there is a sign on the door saying it was closed until the end of the month. Too bad. We found Pozzetto on yelp, took a nice 10 minute walk towards Le Marais, and had an amazing tasty treat. The product was delicious, and the service was very friendly. The gelato is indisputably delicious. The flavors are simple and natural. A little too simple for me, makes me feel like I'm eating diet food. Also pricier than it needs to be. But my biggest complaint is the service. I've been to Pozzetto twice now and both times I've received very cold service, which French patrons did not seem to be having a problem with. I don't really see a reason for this as I speak French and order everything in French and think I've been very courteous. read more

I don't often review (check my profile), but this place is so magnificent/fantastic/beyond everything I just had to. My friends and I have come here multiple times and tried: milk, hazelnut, strawberry, yogurt, and citron. Hands down, the milk is a winner. The flavor is truly unlike anything I've ever tried -- it's remarkably light but leaves the most exquisite taste on your tongue. The yogurt is perfectly tart too, and my second favorite. Stupid me even left my wallet behind here on a Saturday night. I didn't realize it til later, but I ran back to the store the moment I realize it was lost. Now, with everything in Paris closing so early (it was 10 pm), I figured my chances were next to none. Luckily, one of the staff was actually outside waiting for me!! Truly unbelievable and so nice of him. Just for that, this place has won a place in my heart (tho tbh the gelato itself would be enough to qualify). read more

Came earlier than their posted 11:30 opening hours and found them open. Wonderfully designed inside with a warm wood and metal decor that made the smallish interior inviting. Two years ago, we lined up at Pozzetto and it was worth the wait. We would have easily given it 4 or 4.5 stars then. A couple weeks ago, we happened to walk by and had to stop. One of us had the Pistachio that had been so creamy and delicious the first time around. Unfortunately it was so disappointing. We immediately saw that ice crystals had formed on the ice cream. I mentioned it to the server and she agreed but did not offer to exchange it. We should have insisted but didn't. The taste was "ok" but it was icy. The other flavours we tried were noisette and coffee. They were good but definitely not the best. October is probably not the best time to sample ice creams at Pozzetto...or perhaps the owners were not there to ensure the quality. Still, we'll give it another try next time in Paris. read more
